Went shopping at JCPenneys and I had lots of coupons so I split my purchases.
First purchase ended up being $38.62 and saving $80.49.
Then I went to another register and spent $6.50 while saving $46.00.

Has anyone tried the Winn Dixie Fuel Rewards yet?

DH went to get gas tonight and while he had to go to a station (Shell) that we normally don't use, he tried the new card and IT WORKED!!!!

We had accumulated .45 per gallon so at 20 gallons DH saved $9 on this fill up. Just for doing something we were doing already, shopping at Winn Dixie.

My DH is skeptical at times when it comes to my money savings "schemes" as he calls them, but he was very happy tonight.

We have a similar program up here at one of our stores and I love it! The best part (other than saving $$ on gas of course) is that you can accumulate your savings on each shopping trip and don't have to spend a certain amount all at once to get your reward at the fuel pump.

So we have that pain together. I still have kids at home but I know the feeling that something is missing. She has been gone almost a week now and it seems weird around the house. I keep making enough food to feed 5 but now there is only 4 of us. My little one goes into my daughters room and says where cay?

The past two weeks our papers have only had SS inserts.
I get mine at a convenience store, so I checked multiple papers. They sell the "northern suburbs" edition of both local papers (Pioneer Press & Star Trib)
Last week (8/15), Pioneer Press had both SS & RP, but very thin. Star Trib only had SS. But my work (downtown Minneapolis) gets the Star Trib and it had both inserts.
This week (8/22), both papers only had SS.

On the coupon calendar I have, both inserts were scheduled, but maybe that's not current. Anyone else have weird inserts?

DD just graduated from college this spring but this still feels different. DD went to a small school about 30 miles away and she played soccer so we saw her CONSTANTLY! BUT... she's actually moving to Florida over Labor Day weekend and then we take DS to school 4 hours away. My house will be very eerily quiet when we get home from dropping him off!

It is shocking how fast 4 years goes by though. Hamg in there and we'll comisserate together!
