$2.29 for gas???? Honest? Ours is at $2.57 on our side of the Cities right now and that's the lowest it's been for a long, long time.

Hard to believe, but yep, it IS true! Here in NJ we have the lowest gas in the country , but it can also get pretty high (2.69.9) if you are too loyal to a particular brand. I stopped using name brands back when the prices rose sky high (almost 5.00) and the oil companies made HUGE profits in just the first quarter of the year. Now I go with the cheapest place I can find. I passed up a station for 243.9 and thought that I would have to do a u-turn, but going a little further down the road (about a mile or so), I saw one lonely little station for 229.9! THAT was worth the u-turn! I was shocked, because I thought I had seen a station for 235.9, just two days prior and was actually searching for that one!

Needless to say, I went home a VERY HAPPY CAMPER!

That Hybrid is looking better by the day! Anyone own the Ford Fusion Hybrid? I am seriously considering buying one before Spring 2011 and am looking for some feedback.

njsam, mailed your envelope out today...it would have gone out yesterday but DD started Kindergarten and she had a half day...not sure why they do that on the first day of school but oh well.

I think I was more nervous than she was. When I picked her up, I asked if she had a good day and was it good enough to come back tomorrow (today) and she said "yes, I LOVED it!". She talked about it all the way home...I just hope the rest of the year is like yesterday....

Thanks, no problem...I understand about getting the kiddies off to school...been there and done that!

You were very brave to ask DD if Kindergarten was good enough to return to the next day...what if she had answered, "no, I hate school!" How lucky for you that she loved it! I'm sure with your loving encouragement and positive attitude she will continue to love not only her first experience in Kindergarten, but every school year thereafter throughout her entire educational life! Education is such a tremendous gift to us all, and unfortunately, too many of us take it for granted and treat learning as though it were a prison.

Have fun...Kindergarten is such a fun time!

What's the most exciting/best coupon that's ever come through the train, by the way? I'm curious what you all are finding out there. My kids love Apple products, but it's so hard to ever find discounts on iPads or Apple laptops. Anybody got any ideas?

Okstate_angel...got one that should be ready for you today. The hubby and I stole away to Nashville this past weekend and with all this travelling (which I LOVE ), I've been a bit out of synch. But school started AGAIN yesterday so my life is getting back to the busy, but steady schedule. I should be able to send out my envies every Monday again. Sorry for being a slacker! I dropped a nice-sized envie in the mail to you today. I must apologize to you that it is only going out now. I gave the envie to my DH to mail out on Monday, but he must have forgotten. When I got in the van today, I saw it laying on the floor. I am so preoccupied with the start of school (I'm a teacher) that I never even thought to ask him if he mailed it. Sorry about that. I'll be more punctual next week.

Most of the coupons that come through our train are for groceries, beauty products, cleaning products, pet products, baby products, etc.

However, the best coupon I ever found was $1 or $2 off any size purchase using a Discover card. I got a few from the train, but I also ordered a ton of them from a pay for coupons website and used them every time I shopped. I always pay my card off at the end of each month so it was a great coupon for me.

If you know someone that is an educator, they might be willing to order through their educator's discount program through Apple. As a former teacher, I love that benefit.
