Go for early entry or avoid it completely?

I would definitley recommed going for an early entry. The park that has ee will be crowded that day...but there is a good way to go about it. Just go to the ee at the park adn stay there until lunch time or so (whenever it gets crowded) and then head to another park that is not as crowded. You'll be able to do a lot during the ee. It's a nice perk to WDW resort guests so take advantage of it.

Thank you all for your opinions on EE. I think we'll try it, ride as much as we can and leave by noon for a pool break, then head to another park (that is if I can get DD & DS up early enough!)

Thanks!:D

I recommend EE to anyone that has the stomach for it. I have no problem getting by on just a few hours of sleep each night but DW has a tough time surviving on less that 8 hours. Getting up early used to be no bid deal because we were always crashed out by 10pm at the latest. Then we discovered the Comedy Warehouse.

Now we are total CW addicts and never get back to the room before 1am, that makes Mickey's wake up call at 6am a little tough to take...

If you don't pace yourself you can become physically ill from sleep deprivation. If you notice that you are getting stomach pains and lightheadedness get back to the room and get some nap time! Don't do what we did and try to power through, ended up losing a whole day halfway through the trip...

Otherwise, have a great time!

We don't use ee, instead we go to another park (or two) that day, staying away from the ee park. I get up at 7 to have time for a shower and my hair and breakfast...to get to the park at opening. I'm not getting up at 6 on vacation! :D

Yes you are exactly right, daisy2000. The park that has EE that morning is always more crowded than the other parks. It forces people that hate EE, like myself, to go to the other parks. EE is terrible, plain and simple. It messes up the crowds and not the whole park is open that early in the morning and it makes you tired the rest of the day to get up that early. ITS TERRIBLE.

Did it ever occur to you that because all of those folks are over at the EE park, the crowds at the other three non-EE parks are significantly lighter than they would otherwise be?

Also, any time that there are more park hours in total, all guests benefit by the spreading out of the crowds. The EE users will likely burn out early and not be in the parks late, or they will take a mid-day break, benefiting the EE non-users.

EE benefits both the users and non-users.
