I'm so excited for New Moon! You have no idea. I went to Twilight with my friend from work and she has made me promise that my surgery will not effect me going to New Moon on opening day.

I've spent my day finding a sewing project. I finally found one, went out got the fabric and I've been sewing away. I like it. I'm making a baby blanket for one of my friends who was in my wedding. The maid of honor is also pregnant so I will probably make one for her too after this one. I made my shrug yesterday with Mom's help so this is my first solo project. I'll show pictures when it is done. I probably won't get the batting and such until next weekend but I'll get all the sewing done today I hope.

Austin was fantastic and I just loved the area we were looking at!! The new high school they were building was HUGE and it got me all excited and yes I'm going to say...I'm now really excited to get back to work LOL!!!

Hi Ladies!

Not much happening around here today. My mum came over this morning to put some rat poison up into the ceiling (I know its horrible and I feel guilty, but they truly are dirty and diseased and they run around in the middle of the night and I can't sleep), after that I went to work, came home, had a nap (slept about 4 hours thanks to the little devils running around in the ceiling!), watched True Blood, and now I'm in the middle of a Gordon Ramsay marathon! I love him! Now that man could make me cook! I can't sleep just yet I'm too excited! I go and pick up my new hire package in the morning! Thanks for your well-wishes everyone!

Lauren and I went and saw Orphan last night...I have to say I was dissapointed. I truly thought I was going to be terrified...but, not so much. I wish we had seen the Ugly Truth instead. Have any of you seen it yet?

Stacy - congrats on the new job! Remind me what kind of a job this is?

Happy Belated Birthday! I'm glad your special day was good! And thanks! This job is with a store here called Winners which is owned by the same company who run TJ Maxx and Marshalls. It's really just the Canadian version! They're opening another new store and are starting from scratch! However, they've now kinda changed their minds on which position to offer me since speaking to my references! It seems they wanted me for a stock coordinator, but after hearing more about my customer service experience they want me dealing more with customers! So, I don't know exactly what I'll be doing but I know it's fulltime and a supervisory role which makes me very happy!

Jess - you poor girl! I hope this week is much better for you, and I'm glad that you and Blake are safe and sound.

Jen(jolt) - I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to Austin! It sounds great!

Paula - I wish my weather had been nice this weekend! It has been a chilly and rainy summer here so far. I've hardly had my air on at all and I've been wearing jeans or sweaters! It's not fair! It's storming now, good thing my mum and I scratched our plan to go to the drive-in! But I hope you had a nice weekend! I'm glad you're starting to feel better too! Oh, and I also vote for Team Edward. Sorry, but Jacob Black is hated by me and my family! But, my cousin did get to meet Taylor Lautner when he was in Toronto for the MMVAs and said he was super hot!

Happy Monday, gnomies! I am on vacation this week!!! Of course I am up at 7am and on a conference call.

LL- I am impressed with your sewing project. I can barely sew a button on!

Stacy- your job sounds terrific. I love TJ Maxx and Marshall's. In fact, maybe I'll make a trip there this week while on vacation. Hurrah for a full time and supervisory role. You'll be great!! So have you resigned from the other job? How did that go?

Jen- so glad you liked Austin. Any pictures? I've seen it on some tv shows - think Rachael Ray did one of her vacation shows from there. It looks terrific!

Hope you all have a great Monday, gnomies. I *hope* to pick up my new car today. I'm also hoping for some sun but that doesn't look too promising. That's ok- I'll do errands and some shopping instead! And maybe I'll sneak into a matinee of Harry Potter.

Good morning Gnomies! Busy weekend for a lot of you it seems! Happy Be-lated Birthday to Christine- did you do anything to celebrate?

Stacey, congrats on the new job- supervisory! YES!

Katie- I thought you wanted Nobby? You never PM'd me your address!

So after work Saturday I went up north the 3 hours to Camp Douglas, WI to visit to my parent's cabin. Wish I could say I had a good time but I was horrified. My parents have always been pack-rats but tidy pack-rats. In the last 10 years, that has changed to filthy pack-rats and with both of their failing eyesight and lack of care, the cabin has really taken a turn for the worse- and I didn't know how much worse it COULD get! SO... I was totally grossed out by the condition of their place. I can't think too much about it or I'll be horrified I let my daughter go up with them for a week. She won't be returning. They don't know this yet but we'll figure out something.

I brought my niece with me and we just had a campfire Friday night and took a few walks. Saw some deer. Watched a movie. Saturday we went down to the Dells (about 1/2 hr away) and ate at the Ihop and then went to do the "Lost Canyon Tour" which is a wagon tour through the "Lost Canyon". It was very beautiful and informational. Not expensive either- $8.95/ad and $5.95/chld. Def. go find it when you go to the Dells, Katie.

It was nice to take a break from the house-hunting though. I drove back last night with both the girls and my daughter is staying at my nieces today for her first ever baby-sitting job. She's 11 and they'll only be alone frmo 2-5, so we'll see how it goes!!

LL, sewing huh? Glad you found a project you are enjoying. My mom sewed a lot when I was a kid and I never really got into it myself. I used to do a lot of cross-stich before I had kids but don't really have the time anymore.

Julez, thanks for sharing your pics. I don't know if we will be getting to the Dells or not. I had all kinds of great hopes and plans for a vacation next week but the no job thing has put a big snag in all of them. I guess we are at least getting away to Michigan. Thank goodness for free room and board at my aunt and uncles

They're just being less than attentive. I bought the car on Wednesday. Went back to my office and secured financing through my bank. Sent that over to them Wed afternoon. They fill out a form and my bank wires them the $. Easy peasy. So I hear nothing on Thurs. On Friday I reach out to them and the guy says "oh I'm off on Thursdays and this other guy was on vacation." Apparently no one else could do anything? Then he tries to say my bank is being difficult which I know is not the case. I hear nothing back Friday afternoon or Saturday (both they and my bank were open). So this morning I have to reach out to him again and at first he says I'm working on something else and will have to get back to you. Excuse me??????? Then he just wrote to say they haven't received my $ when the bank says they have. I am FURIOUS.

That just sucks. Bad dealership!

Well, I work in a three person department within the call center. One girl is on vacation, she does what I do so no big deal but then my boss calls out and she has done this three times to me when the other girl has been on vacation within the last few months.

No one else can help me or even offer to help me even though they are people in the call center that are supposed to do that. So I am on my own, doing work that I don't do on a daily basis and I'm just pissed.

I like the work I do, I just hate the people.

I keep telling myself...5 year plan....5 year plan. In less than 5 years we will move to Maine, hopefully own DVC and have a child. 5 year plan. 5 year plan. It's not really helping today though.

Is it wrong that I'm actually looking forward to the 4 weeks I have to be out for my surgery?

I was just thinking and it's actually 4 1/2 years! We started the debt program in January and it was going to be about 5 years so we are down to 4 1/2 years. Yayayaya, that sounds so much better than 5 years.

I just remembered a dream I had last night and I thought I would share. Greg and I were debating between purchasing 2 different houses in the same neighborhood. We chose 1 and the other one immediately sold after that. we then met our new neighbor, Barack Obama. he and I got chatting and he asked if I could give him a tour of Epcot.

Yeah, I'm not even going to attempt to analyze that one!

I just went to the union to get an after lunch treat. I bought a big chocolate cookie at the food court and decided I needed a cup of coffee to go with it. I then bought a big yummy looking cinnamon roll at the coffee kiosk the roll was delicious! Nice and soft with a cream cheese frosting, yum yum! I did put the cookie in my desk drawer and am trying to ignore it for the rest of the day
