Leaving next Friday and in reading over the TSA rules it occurred to me that when DS got new shoes 6 months ago he replaced the insoles that came with his shoes with gel insoles - which are banned. Hopefully he didn't throw the original insoles away, but now we have time to look for them or get a non-gel insert.

Just remember you can put the gel inserts into your checked bags and can replace them when you arrive at your destination. You're certain to feel like Mr. Rogers (RIP).

Have a great trip.

I would for sure bring what ever insoles he is used to wearing in the check bag. I would hate to walk around Disney without comfortable shoes. Thanks for the heads up about the TSA.

Thanks for the heads up. We fly out on Sunday and my mother has gel insoles in her shoes.
She already requires special screening every time we fly because her
artificial hips set off the alarms so we don't need further issues with
her shoe insoles as well.:)
