Hey joining in... I thought I had already but must have just been because I have been lurking... anyway Happy Belated Birthday and I hope you got what you wanted for your ADRs.

We have ADRs!!

Doing a little happy dance! I woke up right before 6am and was in front of my laptop and ready to go. Got all the ADRs we wanted, although not all at the exact time that I had hope/planned. But that is fine, as the biggest gap was only half an hour so I certainly cannot complain. I will keep looking to see if the exact time come up later because I am silly like that!

Day 1:
Cape May - dinner

Day 2:
Kouzzina - dinner

Day 3:
Via Napoli - lunch
Plaza Restaurant - early dinner
*MVMCP (chance we might cancel Plaza and do CS.)

Day 4:
'Ohana - dinner

Day 5:
(Hoping to do CS at BoG for lunch)
Akershus - dinner

Day 6:
Tusker House - lunch


I guess that since I was able to make dining reservations that the Mayans must be very, very wrong. So what am I supposed to do now? I have my days pretty much thought out, meals planned. Ahh. I still have 180 days to go! How do I keep myself busy? (This is why I miss the ADR window being at 90 days. At least you were way closer to your actual trip!)

Thanks for all the b'day wishes! My DD (19 months) thoroughly enjoyed my chocolate cake. You can only imagine the sugar rush that followed! Here's a pic:

Ahh, thanks. I have another pic with all the icing in her teeth. Too funny. I rarely give her anything with sugar (esp that much sugar), so the sugar high was humorous. She was spinning around in her room. Never saw that before!

Your ADRs look perfect! I hope you enjoy Via Napoli as much as we did; it really was one of the highlights of our trip. 'Ohana and Kouzzina are two that we have on our list for "next time." Oh, and I really like the Plaza -- very casual, not too heavy. It's a nice, inexpensive alternative to CS.

Now, the reason I visited your PTR today ... I was driving to work this morning and saw a Sorcerer Mickey antenna topper and immediately thought of you! I hope that doesn't sound stalkerish, but I so rarely see them that it was like "Hey, tofubeast counts those!" Just a friendly reminder that we haven't gotten a count update in a little while.

First, congrats on the awesome ARDs!! I have Via Napoli on our list. Some pizza pics from the DIS look too good!! And thanks for the shots of food porn! We LOVE fish and chips! And sushi! And pasta!!

Your vintage Disney pics are so darn cute! I wish I could find some pictures of me from my one visit to DL when I was 6! And the Disney antenna balls are so fun! I've always wanted to buy some but I'm so scared someone will take them!

Your PTR is awesome! I'm going to keep reading through it since it's going to help with our planning! Kind of pointing us to which rides/attractions to hit/avoid!

I feel the same way about the ADR window! It is so much better at 90 days. I always feel as though I need to plan 6+ months in advance or it isn't "worth it."

Photo Show & Tell: My Disney Pin Collection

As ADRs are made, I'm in a little lull with planning so I am back with another photo show and tell post! Last week, someone on the Dis started a thread asking people to share their Disney pin collection. I thought I would add it to my PTR as well.

Do you collect pins? What kinds of pins do you like to buy? Do you trade with CMs?

I don't have that many pins, but I love what I have. Some are very limited edition, some they made zillions of! Most of the pins I have either mark an event at Disney to remind me of our visit, are retro, or are just of a favorite character. I have yet to trade because I really love my pins. I need to get some 'boring' ones so I can start trading during my next trip.

For my December trip, the pins that are on my must buy list include:

-MVMCP (as it will be our first party)

-Something to mark DD's first visit. Any ideas? Perhaps her favorite ride, or a first visit pin. Hmm

-A pin with Walt Disney on it. I am ashamed I don't have one yet. EDIT: Got one! See here!

-Something marking the FLE.

-30th Anniversary of EPCOT

That's what I want, and here's what I currently have!

Got this set at Disneyland back in '08. Obviously, it commemorates the new Mark VII monorails. I'm a bit of a monorail geek so these make me happy.(These monorails are so awesome in person.)

VMK- Virtual Magic Kingdom. I used to this game. RIP. If you never heard of it, the game was created by Disney to mark DL's 50th. It was like being at a Disney park, but in virtual form. They closed the game down in 2008.

Always a proud member of the Mickey Mouse Club. CMs at WDW always comment about my Soda Fountain pin. I grew up in Hollywood, so it is nice to have a pin that makes me think of my old home. If you ever head out to CA, be sure to stop by the Soda Fountain shop!

This is a personal fave of mine because it can be personalized. That's a pic of DH and I wearing our ears!

If you remember this post on my PTR, then you know why I had to have this particular Mickey ears pin! Actually, it was this pin that was the inspiration for designing my hat! The Little Orange Bird is a tribute to WDW history! So glad he's back! The 2012 pin is special because my DH got it for me this past Christmas. It was in my stocking and his way of confirming we would be going to Disney this year!

Love the ol' Attraction Posters, so I had to have this one. Also, a pin marking my first Star Wars Weekend. Hope I get to go to another one soon.

Kermit and Yoda. Only two of the coolest dudes ever! Rather: Coolest dudes ever they are!

The WED pin hands down gets the most commentary from CMs. This is such a simple pin, but probably my fave. A tribute to the Imagineers! The top pin marks the 20th anniversary of DHS. I was happy to be there on that very day!

Who else remembers the ol' ticket books?

A pin to always remember EPCOT's 25th. Now I have to get a 30th this upcoming trip!

Donald is another VMK related pin. I need more of these hidden Mickey monorails!! The bottom pin is very special to me. Back in '86, Disneyland gave random prizes to guests entering the park. Some people won Pontiacs, and I won this Main Street pin! I wasn't even a teen yet, so a car wouldn't have meant that much to me.
