Photo Show & Tell: Brief visit to the World - Sept 2011
I can't believe I waited this long to do this particular photo post! Better late than never. So while I am calling the upcoming trip DD's first trip to WDW, it's kinda a lie. Just an itsy bitsy lie.
See, last September, I had a work conference up in Orlando. I decided to be kind and take DH and DD with me. While I was trapped in workshops and keynote speaker hell, the two of them got to enjoy the awesome lazy river and pools at the JW Marriott/Ritz. Since the conference ended on a Friday, we decided to tack one night at Disney at the end by staying at POP. So while DD has been inside the gates of WDW, she's never been to a Disney park. (I told you I was being truthful!).
I had stayed at POP with my mom during a mom/daughter trip a few years ago. I knew it would be a great place for a nice swim and a fun evening over at DTD. While our brief visit was supposed to 'satisfy' my need to see Mickey, it only made me want to go back to WDW more. (duh, of course!) Fortunately, I got DH to agree to our upcoming trip over dinner at Raglan Road. Anyway, here are some pics from our brief visit.
Here's DD (then nearly 1 years old) with DH in front of the main building at POP. We stayed in the 1980's area which isn't too too far.
Unfortunately, this is as close we we got to Mickey during this visit. DD now calls Mickey (and Minnie) "Meeemeeee" She's going to be so excited to meet them come December (I think).
A bunch o' potato heads.
Like I said, we had a nice dinner at Raglan Road. This was our 2nd visit to RR, and the food was still great. I laugh at this picture because it was supposed to showcase my DH and his nice pint of beer. Instead, you see my bm warming up in the Medella bottle towards the right bottom side. HAHA CLASSY! (This just might be a Dis first!)
Ok, now on to the more traditional Dis food porn pics. I had the steamed mussels. Yum!
DH has some meat kabob fiesta. I forget what was on here, but he sure loved every bit of it.
A brief visit to WDW wouldn't be right unless you indulge in a Mickey Bar!

How about them apples? I am still bummed I didn't get one of these apples, but there is always next time. Only a few months away!
DD poking Buzz in the eye!
This one gives me a chuckle. Looks like my daughter is nearly giving a finger salute! How princess like!
Gotta have the DTD Mr. Potato Head shot!
So yeah, that was our brief 24 hours at WDW. I have pool shots of us at POP, but I will spare the internet pics of me in a pool.
For those who are dying of curiosity (all none of you), here's the latest tally of antenna ears. I am hoping to make it to 200 by the time we enter the WDW gates. Will I get there?
Coming up next, a review of park SHOES!
