Girls Trip One More Time...Final Plans, The End 5/23

Look it's me checking in!!!

First off, Ms Kathy, I think ur tickers are broken....It is NOT a month until we go- 19 days!!!!

A few updates since last I was here, Avery had her big Regional Gymnastics Meet and did an outstanding job!! She is the Regional Uneven Bars Champ in her age group!! Tied for 3rd on floor. Finished 4th All Around. Was very excited and happy. Now is back in the gym working on "cool" new stuff which include-jumping from low to high bar, cartwheel on high beam and a round off backhand spring back tuck on floor. Ms Cayley has her last Recreational T&T meet next weekend. Just today she did 2 yes thats right 2 round off back handsprings on the rod floor. She was very excited!!

We are finishing up school-girls have their "test" at their new school on Friday.

We have made some fun changes for the trip. I am super excited about the Mine train and the Spirit of Aloha show. I also ordered some cool things for the trip. WIll post some pics when they arrive.

I hope you like Spirit of Aloha better than we did. I was not impressed with the food at all, but it just wasn't my kind of food. We also did it late in our trip and i was fighting sleep during parts of it. I am glad we did it once, but I won't be going back anytime soon.
The kids can order hotdogs though I believe, which I felt Claire got the better deal!

What a fun change to the plans! We have been to the luau two, maybe three, times and we enjoyed it. The storyline is a little cheesy in some parts but it's still fun. As for the food, we liked it. Oh and the guys in the little skimpy costumes and the fire twirler more than make up for the cheesy storyline.

Mary, tell the girls that I am proud of their scores! Way to go girls!

Happy Monday Morning!! How exciting about the Luau! We kept going back and forth between the luau and HDDR, before we finally settled on the HDDR. I am sure you all are going to have a great time, and like Lisa said, it doesn't hurt that there is a shirtless firedancer.

Congrats to the girls on their gymnastics achievements!!

We did the Spirit of Aloha show about 4 years ago and enjoyed it. I loved the salad and bread (it's like Ohana), DH loved the ribs. Sarah got them to bring her something special - either a PBJ or mac and cheese I think.

The show itself has a cheesy storyline, but the dancing is great. The best is the fire dancers. OH. MY. GOSH. So cool!

Hope you had a nice Mother's day and anniversary dinner. DH and I just had our 17th on Saturday. But because we were busy with the girls' dance competition all weekend, we didn't get our dinner out yet.

I've been absent for a while. I've been reading your report and am all caught up. Looks like you girls have another great trip planned. Lucky Girls! My sweet husband recently surprised me with a trip for our 36th anniversary in October. I'm so excited!!! I miss seeing you on the Coronado thread but try to catch up with you on these reports. I have a Coronado question if you don't mind. The Travel Planners International Conference will be there during our stay. Any experience with them? I'm hoping this is not a group that will take over the pool and beach area. Any info is much appreciated.

Spirit of Aloha is a lot of fun, though it's been 16 years since my family has eaten there, so I imagine a lot has changed. My dad was pulled up on stage to dance during the show. He thought we had planned it, but I think it was because he was wearing a Hawaiian print shirt!

So they do people up? I hope they pick the girls.

; it so good to see you here. I hope you are well. It's going to be an interesting trip with all of the changes. But I'm sure we will have a blast as always. How sweet of your hubby! I used to love my October trips when the kids were smaller. I miss the CSR thread. I wish I could help, but having not stayed there except for 2012 in December for Mark's birthday trip (which was, unfortunately, the one and only bad stay we had at CSR), I just am not all that up on things over there (although I keep reading RAVE reviews of Maya Grill). I've never heard of that group.
