Girls Trip One More Time...Final Plans, The End 5/23

and Sunday Megan and I went down to the waterfront and Pike Place Market, was a beautiful day!

My husband had to work on Mother's Day, so he did something special for me last Friday instead. He took the boys to the kitchen to make muffins so I could get a bit of a nap.

I have had no DIS time recently. Starting next week is the beginning of 6 weeks of crazy for me. I'll get to breathe again at the end of June.

I know that this is your crazy time. By the time you are back to normal, we should probably talk about trying to work out some FP+ times together (I think my day is July 21).

I hope all your plans are set and if I don't get back here before you go, have a great time ladies!

Oh, we've had a few changes here and there, but I don't think anymore will come up. We will be posting updates on FB.

Ummm...yes; you know that story from last year. And trust me, if we get out on our actual anniversary next Wednesday, it will be McDonald's again as Mark has a 7:30 game.

Oh my! Spirit of Aloha dinner show interests me more for the show than the food. If you just happen to take a few photos of the shirtless guys I won't be disappointed! I hope you enjoy!

Lisa, sounds like a wonderful day for you. Work is still super busy, but I'm catching up a bit so that helps. I decided to take the afternoon off from doing anything else here at the job, and just going to DIS!

Those girls have been threatened if they make one more change. We almost made a couple of meal changes, but decided against it.

Awww...that was very sweet. I could go for a nap right about now. Mark was supposed to ump all of this weekend in Waukegan, but the director of the umpire association called him and begged him to go to Rockford instead. So he's off to Rockford tomorrow at 5:30 a.m. and will spend the night and be home after dinner on Sunday.

I am so sorry I've been missing in action. I haven't been this busy at work in I don't remember how long. Then I had to take some time off to go for my annual check up, then had to go to the hospital this morning for an xray on my shoulder/arm, taking the cars in for oil changes, trying to run errands and get things for our trip in 13 days, and I've had NO DIS time. I think I've caught up on almost everyone's threads and will try to finish up what few I might still have left this weekend as Mark will be away all weekend.

So our final plans? The question really will be "are they our final plans? Mary and I played some and added a meal which then caused us to change the time on the other meal, but then ended up going back to the original plan. I was exhausted after all that. I think the only other change we made is to a FP+ time because we want to see the final run of the parade at the Animal Kingdom.

So here is what I think are our final plans. I'll do a couple of days now and then come back with a couple more later.

Thursday, May 29 --ARRIVAL DAY

We both arrive around the same time...maybe 30 mintues difference. We have our luggage tags and will let Magical Express grab our bags as we hop on the bus for our ride here:



We have to be sure to remember to have them bring our Garden Grocer order up that I placed.

Mary will get us all checked in while the girls probably play with balloons. From there, we will grab a boat to go to DTD where we will have dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express.

Friday, May 30 -- 1st day at the parks

We are headed to the Magic Kingdom. We will do as much in Fantasyland as we possibly can before Avery becomes a Mermaid around 11 a.m.

We then have lunch here:



I'll be ordering these for sure:



Then we are off to use our FP+ to Ana and Elsa. As soon as we are done with them, we hightail it to DTD for Cayley to become a more beautiful Princess (if that is at all possible). I won't spoil it and tell you which one she is going to be...but I will tell you that it is not Merida as originally planned.

After her makeover, we will head back to the MK for dinner and we have a FP+ for Big Thunder and SEVEN DWARFS MINE TRAIN!!!!

Saturday, May 31 -- Wild Animals

We are headed here this day. We have FP+ for the safari in the morning and this is when we are hoping to meet Lisa (mickeystoontown here on the DIS) and her family. We have lunch here:



And I'm sure I'll have one of these:



Our afternoon will consist of several things, including seeing Finding Nemo with our FP+, watching the LAST ever Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade and then do our FP+ for Kali River Rapids. We will then head back to Old Key West and swim at the pool and have dinner there.

Sunday, June 1 -- two parks in one day

We are headed here first thing in the morning:



With our FP+, we will be doing:



the Seas with Nemo and this:



Before Soarin', we have lunch at Chefs de France; Mary and I will probably each order a meal and share with the girls. Why might you ask?

Well, because a first for me (not sure about Mary and the girls) will be dinner here:



After our dinner at Kona, we head to the Magic Kingdom for EMH's.


I still have some DIS meets to work out. We will be meeting up with Bob (goofy4prez here on the DIS) who we met in December at our mega DIS meet. I also am hoping to at least be able to say hello or do a ride with Bill and his wife (saintstickets here on the DIS), and we have Alan who started a JUNE group for Disney on FB.

Kathy, less than two weeks to go for you. I can tell from your thread how excited you are about seeing Mary and the girls and getting to be back "home" in Disney. I sure know that I am excited about Disney with only 15 days to go.

You mentioned about making plans and then changing them and then changing them back. I sure understand what you mean there. I can't tell you how many times I have changed a FP or it's times; or how often I have changed the time of an ADR. When it comes to planning our Disney vacations I am so compulsive on all the details that I think I need psychiatric help. I'm sure there is some kind of disorder with me.

I'm looking forward to the rest of this thread and then when you get back from Disney, reading all about your "Girls Trip" report. Cya in Disney in a short few weeks.

So more of our final plans.

Monday, June 2 -- We are going to start this morning very slow. Once the girls are up and have had some breakfast, we will be heading here:



While the girls are swimming, Mary and I may throw a load of laundry in (trying to keep us down to one suitcase).





I love this pool. We will probably have a snack at the pool for lunch as we have a relatively early dinner.

We will then head here:



Our first FP+ is at 1:25 so we just have to arrive in time for that. And where will that be: My favorite ride, of course:

From there, we have our last FP+ for



We have dinner at Mama Melrose with the Fantasmic Package. The girls and Mary have NEVER seen Fantasmic...they've always been rained out.

I am sure we will do lots more at the Studios this day, but these are the highlights.


Tuesday, June 3 --

This is our Water Park day. The last I heard we are still going to Blizzard Beach.







After we go back to the resort to change, we will hop on a boat and go back to DTD where we are having dinner here:



I'll have one of these (I'll need it after being at a water park all day):



We are thinking of hitting up Splitsville while we are there. I think we will have fun bowling a game or two. I'm also sure we will do some shopping.

Wednesday, June 4 --

We are going back here:



We have a breakfast ADR here:



(Unfortunately, those pretty ladies will not be joining us).

After breakfast, we will head over for our FP here:

(Avery and I will be doing this alone)

Then we will head here where I hope I will live after it:



You know I really love those girls to agree to do this. I'm guessing Cayley is going to ride too so I'll have to ask Mary who rides alone???

Then we have a FP+ to see some animals:







We will go back to OKW to freshen up and then head to the Polynesian for the Spirit of Aloha.

Then we head to the Magic Kingdom for Extra Magic Hours and hopefully we will be able to get a Fastpass or two.

(good thing it was really too cold to swim much so any pool time I planned wasn't totally lost given I had NO idea we would not have the feature pool to use on that trip) Do you happen to know what changes they made to it?

Riding EE - I am confused... are you not a group of 4? Who would be riding solo? I believe the seats are 2 across.

Kathy, your plans on June 2nd at DHS are so similar to our plans at DHS on June 3rd (our first full day). We also have FP+ for Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania and Star Tours. In addition we also dining at Mama Melrose with the Fantasmic dining package. Only difference is we are doing lunch instead. I should say we also have not seen Fantasmic. Twice we have been rained out ourselves.
