Girls Trip One More Time...Final Plans, The End 5/23

I am caught up on everyone's TR's UNLESS they posted an update after 4 p.m....I do know I have saintstickets to catch up on). Before I get to the update, I just wanted to show you a few things.

We had our trees and bushes trimmed last week. Our two bushes by the garage were dead...22 years old and the brutal winter did them in. Mark decided he wanted we should put "rocks" there. Okay...if that's what you wanted. So we went to Menards and picked up rocks. However, he wasn't home all weekend. He had 10 baseball games (LOVE that Disney money--we're talking $560 just for this weekend) so the rocks were sitting in the garage. Now, if I were a smart woman, I would have waited until he was home (although he has a game every night this weekend, two on Saturday...he'd have done more but we are going out to an anniversary dinner with very good friends who celebrate their anniversary four days before us at Morton's Steakhouse and he has six on Mother's Day) or until Andy was around. Well, that wasn't happening. So I dragged, opened and poured out 15 bags of 50# each rocks. Let's just say that I am 56 years old and way out of shape. I could hardly walk today. Thankfully, I did it NOW and not the weekend before our trip.

Here's how it turned out:

And Mary sent me the picture below...so exciting:

So we are on that dreaded day...the day I am leaving the girls and Mary. But NOT before we have some last minute fun

First, I will drop my luggage off for the Unmagical Express and leave my carry on and computer at Bell Services.

We will head to the Magic Kingdom for our final time together. I don't know if we will get a ride in or not when we first get there...it depends on when we get there. And why is that? Because we have an ADR here for breakfast:

And I'm bringing my Tigger ears for Cayley to wear at breakfast (but she has to give them back).

I know I for sure will be having this on my plate:

LOVE the puffed French toast...an all-time favorite.

We do have two ADR's that I should be able to do before I have to leave the park. One is here:

And we have one more for the Seven Dwarves Mine Train Ride. I have a feeling that will be my last attraction of the trip, but what a way to go out.

I'll probably grab a Starbucks on the way to the bus stop to head back to Old Key West.

I have a 5:10 p.m. flight home. Mark said he isn't taking a baseball game that night because he will have missed me and will pick me up at the airport.

I should last right around 7 p.m. Thankfully, I will have the weekend to catch up on stuff at home (I'm sure the house will have to be cleaned after I've been gone for eight nights/9 days with two guys all alone).

I will come back with a recap of our days after all the changes at some point. I can't believe we leave three weeks from Thursday. It will nice to be where it is consistently warm and I can get some color...unlike here where it is up and then down temperature wise.

SO EXCITED. The Mine ride opens the day before we get there. I've already texted Mary (even though it was only 6 a.m. her time) to get working on FP+ for us!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Finally caught up! The last two weekends have been a wake, a baby shower, a bridal shower and another bridal shower, plus interviewing for a job in NC! I think I am done with that for a month or so lol

Ahhh so jealous! I cannot wait to hear your review!

So fun the girls will be doing BBB. Looking forward to the photos.

Epcot is a great way to spend the last full day at Disney! Hopefully the rain stays away for you all! The big girl drinks in France will be a great reward for braving the water park!

I cannot wait for You and Mary's trip report!!! :cool1:

Want to hear all about Ana and Elsa then the 7DMT!!!! Cannot believe you did all that rock by yourself! :crazy2: It really does look good. i have TONS of landscaping to get done. Now i know who to ask!!! :lmao:

Wow you were busy! 50 pound bags are a lot of work, it looks really good though!

Departure days are never fun, but I'm sure you will have a great time at MK before you leave. That french toast looks delightful, I'm going to have to try it in November!

Last day...:sad: Ending the trip in MK sounds perfect and of course it is fantastic that you got a 7DMT FP!!

The rocks look great! This winter was brutal. We have to get out and do our yard work to this weekend, but you are right it gets warm and then freezing. I wish it would just stay warm!! Last summer we built an above ground garden and ended up buying like 40-50 bags of dirt/fertilizer. I was so sore that I couldn't move the next day!

I have to take a moment here to say Happy 88th Birthday Daddy. I love and miss you every day.

Here's how it turned out:
You did a great job with the rocks, and moving that many around would make anybody sore, even a younger guy like me....... ;)

I still can't believe after all that hard work, somebody left a pooh right in the middle of it! :rotfl2:

(Sorry it was right there inviting me......I just HAD to do it!)

And Mary sent me the picture below...so exciting:

:thumbsup2 :dance3:

I know I for sure will be having this on my plate:

LOVE the puffed French toast...an all-time favorite.
I've had breakfast at CP, but I don't remember ever having the puffed French toast. :scratchin Guess I need to get back there soon!

I have to take a moment here to say Happy 88th BirthdayDaddy. I live and miss you every day.

:bday: to your Dad, Kathy! I know that means a lot to you!!!

Loving the rocks. I kind of wish we had them. Maybe it would keep the weeds down.

I hate the last day...why do these trips have to end. Yay for the mine train though!

First off, I've been thinking about you today. It's tough when you celebrate the birthdays of our loved ones in Heaven.

Second, you did a fantastic job getting the rocks put out all by yourself. Sounds like something that I would have done.

Don't you just hate it when the end of the trip rolls around? Never can spend enough time at Walt Disney World. But, like you said, at least you're going out with a bang....breakfast with Pooh and his gang and a ride on the mine train.

:bday: to your Daddy, Kathy

Love the rocks! And I am waiting for the recap in case there's more ch-ch-changes..how I love changes ;)

a perfect way to end your trip with the girls!

love all the new rocks...silly girl though, should of had that strapping boy of yours do it for you!

happy birthday to your daddy

UGH on the rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! I've done that before and it's not easy work no matter your age or shape. Looks pretty :goodvibes

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for the last day but :thumbsup2 for your puffed french toast!

That landscaping looks like a lot of work. I do love seeing Pooh in your garden.

So fun that you guys all took Frozen names!

Boo to the last day of your trip. Maybe that's why I don't do PTRs. I can't stand to write about the last day. It comes soon enough!

:bday: to your Dad Kathy.

You have a great trip planned.

I hear you on the rocks. Great job, hope you had some aleve handy.

Wow, good for you on doing that landscaping! How nice of Mark to go work to earn more Disney $$!

What a nice tribute to your dad.

A breakfast at Crystal Palace and a ride on a mine train sounds like a pretty good way to wrap up a trip (since it had to end).

Happy Belated Birthday Kat's Dad!

I almost missed the star of your breakfast plate. My eyes went right to the Mickey waffle. I really hope to have both the Mickey waffle plus the puff French toast next year.
So glad you get to ride mine train. I am dying to hear what people are saying.
I am jealous that you get a late flight home. I might have to see how much it would be to fly to Chicago then into Iowa. Might be good I can't go till next year. I keep coming up with new things to check on.

Finally caught up! The last two weekends have been a wake, a baby shower, a bridal shower and another bridal shower, plus interviewing for a job in NC! I think I am done with that for a month or so lol

That's a lot of showers! How did the interview go?

Ahhh so jealous! I cannot wait to hear your review!

I'm excited that the first ride will be at night.

So fun the girls will be doing BBB. Looking forward to the photos.

I'm looking forward to taking them; I've never been present when someone had it done.

Epcot is a great way to spend the last full day at Disney! Hopefully the rain stays away for you all! The big girl drinks in France will be a great reward for braving the water park!

I will need the big girl drink after the water park. :crazy2:

I cannot wait for You and Mary's trip report!!! :cool1:

Who said I was doing one?

Want to hear all about Ana and Elsa then the 7DMT!!!! Cannot believe you did all that rock by yourself! :crazy2: It really does look good. i have TONS of landscaping to get done. Now i know who to ask!!! :lmao:

I can't wait to see Ana and Elsa and ride the train. Yes, I did all that rock by myself and I am still suffering...my thighs are still killing me.

Wow you were busy! 50 pound bags are a lot of work, it looks really good though!

They were heavy and wet!

Departure days are never fun, but I'm sure you will have a great time at MK before you leave. That french toast looks delightful, I'm going to have to try it in November!

I love the puffed French toast. I must have at least 2 or 3 pieces every time I go.

Last day...:sad: Ending the trip in MK sounds perfect and of course it is fantastic that you got a 7DMT FP!!

Yes, I hate last days. The only good part about this one is that I will be back 105 days after that. :)

It was horrid, as you and I both can attest to. I still have to get the mulch for the other areas and dirt for my pots to plant my flowers. I hear you on being sore. OUCH!

You did a great job with the rocks, and moving that many around would make anybody sore, even a younger guy like me....... ;)

I knew someone would come back and tell me how they were "younger" than me.

I still can't believe after all that hard work, somebody left a pooh right in the middle of it! :rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: now I'll give you credit for that one...that was good.

(Sorry it was right there inviting me......I just HAD to do it!)

I'm not surprised.

:thumbsup2 :dance3:

And we all got different colors.

I've had breakfast at CP, but I don't remember ever having the puffed French toast. :scratchin Guess I need to get back there soon!

You've eaten at CP and NEVER had the puffed French toast? You might be younger than me, but not brighter. ;)

:bday: to your Dad, Kathy! I know that means a lot to you!!!

Thank you.

Loving the rocks. I kind of wish we had them. Maybe it would keep the weeds down.

I certainly hope so; I hate weeds.

I hate the last day...why do these trips have to end. Yay for the mine train though!

Very excited about the mine train.

First off, I've been thinking about you today. It's tough when you celebrate the birthdays of our loved ones in Heaven.

Thank you, Lisa; I appreciate it. It doesn't seem to get any easier.

Second, you did a fantastic job getting the rocks put out all by yourself. Sounds like something that I would have done.

I am so regretting doing it by myself.

Don't you just hate it when the end of the trip rolls around? Never can spend enough time at Walt Disney World. But, like you said, at least you're going out with a bang....breakfast with Pooh and his gang and a ride on the mine train.

Yes, I hate it; thankfully, I have another trip booked just a few months later. I can't think of a better way to exit than puffed French toast, Tigger and Pooh and the mine train.

:bday: to your Daddy, Kathy

Thank you, Jeanette...appreciate it.

Love the rocks! And I am waiting for the recap in case there's more ch-ch-changes..how I love changes ;)

Thanks; I'm very happy with the rocks. You will have to wait and see. a hint...I can tell you that there are changes to the September trip as of today. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

a perfect way to end your trip with the girls!

I thought so too, Lisa.

love all the new rocks...silly girl though, should of had that strapping boy of yours do it for you!

One strapping lad lives in Dubuque, one was doing ten baseball games over the weekend and Andy had baseball on Saturday and spent all day Sunday with Des.

happy birthday to your daddy

Thank you, friend.

UGH on the rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! I've done that before and it's not easy work no matter your age or shape. Looks pretty :goodvibes

I won't do it again; next time we hire someone!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for the last day but :thumbsup2 for your puffed french toast!

Can't wait for my puffed French toast. :)

That landscaping looks like a lot of work. I do love seeing Pooh in your garden.

It was hard, exhausting and sweaty. We have some Grumpy I the garden too but forgot to get a picture of him.

So fun that you guys all took Frozen names!

I think you misread them. I have Jasmine, Mary got Roz. I'm not sure who got Ana and the other one I have no idea who it is.

Boo to the last day of your trip. Maybe that's why I don't do PTRs. I can't stand to write about the last day. It comes soon enough!

That's a good idea; maybe I won't do a Septembeer one.

:bday: to your Dad Kathy.

Thanks, Pat. I appreciate it and the hug.

You have a great trip planned.

Thank you.

I hear you on the rocks. Great job, hope you had some aleve handy.

I've been taking the Aleve religiously since Sunday afternoon.

Wow, good for you on doing that landscaping! How nice of Mark to go work to earn more Disney $$!

The man does NOT have a weekend off until the first weekend in August from baseball. :faint:

What a nice tribute to your dad.

Thank you, Sheree; he was a great man and I miss him every day.

A breakfast at Crystal Palace and a ride on a mine train sounds like a pretty good way to wrap up a trip (since it had to end).

It sure does, doesn't it? :)

Happy Belated Birthday Kat's Dad!

Thank you.

I almost missed the star of your breakfast plate. My eyes went right to the Mickey waffle. I really hope to have both the Mickey waffle plus the puff French toast next year.

I would NEVER miss the star of the show at CP. :)

So glad you get to ride mine train. I am dying to hear what people are saying.
I am jealous that you get a late flight home. I might have to see how much it would be to fly to Chicago then into Iowa. Might be good I can't go till next year. I keep coming up with new things to check on.

I will be sure to take lots of pictures. Are you on FB? I usually do updates there during my trips. I don't remember if I asked before...where in Iowa are you?

I really like the rock in the garden, and way to go girl for doing it yourself! Girl power :) that does sound like very hard work, glad you didn't do it right before your trip! Woot woot for Disney money! That's a nice chunk of cash. Love CP breakfasts, it's one thing I'm looking forward to most about my upcoming trip! Mine train is the best way to go out I'd say, a great way to end the trip.

Happy belated birthday to your dad, Kathy :)
