Girls Trip One More Time...Final Plans, The End 5/23

Hi Kathy :wave2:

Love that you are going back with the girls and ha ha on all the changes!

I'm glad you've incorporated TL in your plans as I loved having a chilled out day there.

Lovely pics of Mark and Alisha, they make such a cute couple :lovestruc

The new landscaping looks great! That's our big project for the summer too, but with little boys I don't think we'll have rocks any time soon.

Cayley, in her innocent way, told her mom that she wanted to go to BBB when we are at Disney next month. Mary said "at 30 days out, you want to go to BBB?" Cayley said she wants to be Merida.
How can you say no to that??? :confused3

NO MORE CHANGES GIRLS! I am too darn old to keep up with it. I have to retype our whole schedule. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao: Keep up the good work, girls. :thumbsup2

Nope, I am NOT doing it. I don't care how much she begs! I love her...but this and Rock & Roll are off the table.
Just miss out on all the fun...

I know that Mary and I will be having at least one of these since we are in Day 7 of the trip with these girls
:thumbsup2

Mark decided he wanted we should put "rocks" there. Okay...if that's what you wanted. So we went to Menards and picked up rocks. However, he wasn't home all weekend. He had 10 baseball games (LOVE that Disney money--we're talking $560 just for this weekend) so the rocks were sitting in the garage. Now, if I were a smart woman, I would have waited until he was home (although he has a game every night this weekend, two on Saturday...he'd have done more but we are going out to an anniversary dinner with very good friends who celebrate their anniversary four days before us at Morton's Steakhouse and he has six on Mother's Day) or until Andy was around. Well, that wasn't happening. So I dragged, opened and poured out 15 bags of 50# each rocks. Let's just say that I am 56 years old and way out of shape. I could hardly walk today. Thankfully, I did it NOW and not the weekend before our trip.
Well done Mark!!! Getting his landscape rock that he wanted and didn't even have to do the work. That's how you do it! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2::lmao:

But wow... that's a lot of baseball. 6 games on Mother's Day??? That's borderline absurd. What happened to the idea of having family time? Do the kids have to be playing baseball 24/7? I mean, I love playing and watching baseball as much as anybody, but what are our priorities?

Kudos to Mark for doing what he does. Lord knows I wouldn't want to umpire that much baseball. I'd probably end up fired for throwing too many people out of games. :lmao:

And we have one more for the Seven Dwarves Mine Train Ride. I have a feeling that will be my last attraction of the trip, but what a way to go out.
You can't pick a better way to end the trip. :thumbsup2

I'll probably grab a Starbucks on the way to the bus stop to head back to Old Key West.
Of course you will... :rolleyes1

Mark said he isn't taking a baseball game that night because he will have missed me and will pick me up at the airport.
Awwwww.... how nice! :thumbsup2

I have to take a moment here to say Happy 88th BirthdayDaddy. I live and miss you every day.
From what you share about him, he seems like a great man. I know you miss him, but you certainly keep his memory alive.

I really like the rock in the garden, and way to go girl for doing it yourself! Girl power :) that does sound like very hard work, glad you didn't do it right before your trip! Woot woot for Disney money! That's a nice chunk of cash. Love CP breakfasts, it's one thing I'm looking forward to most about my upcoming trip! Mine train is the best way to go out I'd say, a great way to end the trip.

Thanks, Wendy. Girl power! I love it...except my body didn't. :crazy2: Last summer, Mark made over $5000 umpping baseball. And that is why we can rent DVC and have some really nice meals. CP is my favorite...for Tigger and puffed French toast. Yes, I think the Mine train is a great way to end the trip.

Happy belated birthday to your dad, Kathy :)

Thank you. :)

:rotfl2: Yay for ch-ch-changes! Now to popcorn::

And another change has been made. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hi Kathy :wave2:

:wave2: It's good to see you; I've missed you on the boards.

Love that you are going back with the girls and ha ha on all the changes!

I am too; I love my trips with them.

I'm glad you've incorporated TL in your plans as I loved having a chilled out day there.

It got changed to BB, but it's okay. I'm sure I'll love relaxing in the lazy river.

Lovely pics of Mark and Alisha, they make such a cute couple :lovestruc

Thank you; they truly are!

The new landscaping looks great! That's our big project for the summer too, but with little boys I don't think we'll have rocks any time soon.

No, I would strongly stress NO ROCKS for several years. ;)

Yay! Such a sweet little mailperson too. ;)

Isn't she, though? |:goodvibes

How can you say no to that??? :confused3

I have found it impossible to say no to those girls on almost anything.

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao: Keep up the good work, girls. :thumbsup2

This time their mother made a change!

Just miss out on all the fun...

I prefer to think of it as not having a heart attack and staying alive.

:thumbsup2

If they make one more change, I'll need two a day at least.

Well done Mark!!! Getting his landscape rock that he wanted and didn't even have to do the work. That's how you do it! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2::lmao:

You sound like one of the attorneys I work for that I told that too!

But wow... that's a lot of baseball. 6 games on Mother's Day??? That's borderline absurd. What happened to the idea of having family time? Do the kids have to be playing baseball 24/7? I mean, I love playing and watching baseball as much as anybody, but what are our priorities?

They play tournaments every weekend around here and teams come from other states too. It was the same way when our boys played; we didn't have a weekend off from mid-April (weather permitting) until the end of July. Moms just went to the games on Mother's Day.

Kudos to Mark for doing what he does. Lord knows I wouldn't want to umpire that much baseball. I'd probably end up fired for throwing too many people out of games. :lmao:

So far this year, he's not thrown anyone out. Last year, I think he threw out three coaches. One of which had to be escorted off the premises.

You can't pick a better way to end the trip. :thumbsup2

I agree!

Of course you will... :rolleyes1

See...I missed that. I must be a sick person.

Awwwww.... how nice! :thumbsup2

He's a good hubby.

From what you share about him, he seems like a great man. I know you miss him, but you certainly keep his memory alive.

Thank you, Andy. That means a lot.

Yes she is.

Well, at least this time it wasn't the girls. It was THEIR MOTHER! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Mary called tonight and said she was reading some reviews on the DIS (it would be nice if she popped in here once in awhile ;)) about some of the dinner shows. She asked if I'd ever been and I said no. She asked if I was up to it and I said sure.

So we are headed here:

Both pictures borrowed from the Internet.

Yes, we are going to the Spirit of Aloha Show after the Animal Kingdom on our Day 6 before we head to the Magic Kingdom which is open until midnight. I think it will be fun and the girls will enjoy it. However, Avery, who eats like a bird, has been told she has to eat a lot at the price of the show! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

In case I don't get back here over the weekend as we have special anniversary dinner plans tomorrow night (early since Mark is umpping on our actual anniversary) with very good friends and I have a lot to do on Sunday, I want to wish ALL of my DIS Friend moms a very Happy Mother's Day. Celebrate yourselves...you all deserve it.

Happy anniversary and a super happy Mother's day!!! To all the awesome mommas here enjoy your day! :grouphug:

What a cute little mail carrier! :thumbsup2

I really like the idea of doing the "Spirit of Aloha" show. VERY interested in your review.

AND,

Happy Anniversary and Happy Mother's Day!

I can imagine that the rocks were a hard chore... but they do look nice. I love the pooh landscape art.

Last days are no fun, but at least if you can make the mine ride your last...maybe it won't be so bad?

The dinner show should be fun! I agree though, lots of food must be eaten to make the cost of the show reasonable.

Have a happy mothers day! :goodvibes

She is adorable!

Happy Anniversary to you and Mark! :thumbsup2

I think the Spirit of Aloha is a great idea. I am curious to see what you think of it. I am toyed with adding it from time to time.

What an adorable little mail person you have there :good vibes

Spirit of Aloha is a great show, the girls are going to have a blast!

Happy Anniversary to you and Mark, and Happy Mother's day to you!!

Happy anniversary and happy mother's day!

Spirit of Aloha is a lot of fun, though it's been 16 years since my family has eaten there, so I imagine a lot has changed. My dad was pulled up on stage to dance during the show. He thought we had planned it, but I think it was because he was wearing a Hawaiian print shirt!

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Anniversary :flower3::flower3:

Such a cute photo of you mail carrier :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear if you enjoy Spirit of Aloha (we cancelled going one year we had planned it) still on our list to try someday!

So excited that Mary added Sprit of Aloha. I can see the girls up dancing.

Hope you have a great Anniversary and Mothers Day!

Ooohh Spirit of Aloha! I'm excited to hear all about that one, I've considered it myself a few times.

However, Avery, who eats like a bird, has been told she has to eat a lot at the price of the show! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ah! And that's the reason I've never actually gone, I'm like Avery -- I also eat like a bird! :rotfl2:

Happy anniversary! I hope you enjoy your special dinner. :goodvibes

Happy Mother's Day, Kathy!

I'll do replies later. Just doing a quick stop by to say Andy's team lost a heartbreaker in the 13th inning. Thankfully, it was a beautiful day to watch a baseball game. Now hoping Mark gets home in time from his game to shower for our dinner.

Thanks for all the wishes. Our anniversary isn't actually until the 21st of this month, but this was the only open Saturday night we had to go with our friends who celebrate their 15th anniversary on the 17th (we celebrate 31 later this month).

Look :woohoo: it's me  checking in!!!

First off, Ms Kathy, I think ur tickers are broken....It is NOT a month until we go- 19 days!!!!

A few updates since last I was here, Avery had her big Regional Gymnastics Meet and did an outstanding job!! She is the Regional Uneven Bars Champ in her age group!! Tied for 3rd on floor. Finished 4th All Around. Was very excited and happy. Now is back in the gym working on "cool" new stuff which include-jumping from low to high bar, cartwheel on high beam and a round off backhand spring back tuck on floor. Ms Cayley has her last Recreational T&T meet next weekend. Just today she did 2 yes thats right 2 round off back handsprings on the rod floor. She was very excited!!

We are finishing up school-girls have their "test" at their new school on Friday.

We have made some fun changes for the trip. I am super excited about the Mine train and the Spirit of Aloha show. I also ordered some cool things for the trip. WIll post some pics when they arrive.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there and thanks for reading :)
