I am on the road to Texas, typing on my new IPad2.
Hi Mel :wave2: Yippie on the new toy!
We're staying the nights of Dec. 9th & 10th. DH and I, maybe Sarah and her BF too. We have stayed at Park Vue Inn the last 3 times. I've been searching sites for a good price but they seem to be high everywhere. We may stay somewhere else if I can find a better deal. Sarah gets back from her cruise on Sunday and I'm going to have her look too. She always finds great deals.

Darn, we will just be missing you!

I just bought my plane tickets for December!!! I convinced the hubby that flying down for a two day trip was much better than me driving Bry alone in the middle of the night and driving home in the middle of the night (to maximize Disney fun time). I am loving this $59 sale!

Darn you Tag Fairy for not being there when I was. You must have eaten the apple....

Trudi we are going to be there the 9th through the 12th!!! Would love to say hi! Pm me if you are interested and I will get you my number! ;)

Made our reservation for December 8-11 at the Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort on Mancheter, for $62/night through Hotwire. I think we're getting a roll away which adds $15/night, still not too bad for December!! Kelly, where are you staying, I can't remember...

Lisa, I've always wanted to go to Williamsburg. For reals.
Mel, enjoy your new toy. One day I'll join the 21st century and get an i-pad.

Yay for all the Divas going to DLR in December. Are we planning a mini meet?

Thanks for setting up the exchange & Christmas card thread, Beth. Now to go sign up!

It's almost Friday - yipee!

PM coming. We won't be in the parks on the 9th because we probably won't get down there til 8 or 9 and DH doesn't have a pass. We'll be in on Sat.
Oh, cool. It's been forever since I've been to DL during the holidays. Well, maybe not forever, but it's been since 2007.
.

Not since 2007 IS forever when it comes to Disneyland.

I'm there the 7th and 8th. I hit up the $35 sale Southwest had a couple weeks ago. Quality inn was $80 and BW Anaheim inn was $89, so for $9 I'm staying "on the strip". LOL I'll get into the park around noon or 1 on the 7th and I'll be gone just short of 6PM on the 8th.

Since I travel solo, flying is almost ALWAYS cheaper than driving!

Lisa, I've always wanted to go to Williamsburg. For reals.

Wanna go in my place? I'm sure DH and my inlaws won't notice.... LOL

Although I do get a day all to my happy, rollercoaster-lovin' self at Busch Gardens back there! Woo hoo!

YAY Lisa!!! Glad you get to go!! :cool1: I'm still planning on calling next Monday to get in on the tour for Dec. 7th~~3pm one. Hope you decide to do this one too!!!

Bummer Trudi......I leave late afternoon on the 8th. :sad1: Hope you & Sarah have a wonderful time!!

Any other Divas gonna be around Dec 6-8th???? Coming solo, so would love to meet up!!

Stacie we are staying at the Desert Inn. Yay so excited that a few of us will be there at the same time and I can't believe that we are going to miss a few of you by a day! :( That would have been so fun if we all could have met up.

Chris does that mean you might come meet up with us!!! That would be so fun!

Getting excited!!! :)

Stacie when are you getting in on the 8th? I'll probably be there until about 2-3pm. Would love to at least get to say hi!!

Hello!

It's so nice to be able to talk to you guys again. I missed you!

Just wanted to let you know, that our family will be at DL on Dec. 2 and 3. I got rooms at Hojos for 103.00 including tax. Thought that was pretty darn good considering that it is CP weekend. Not to mention there are no parking fees. I asked for their AP discount.

Stacie, I usually like to do Priceline or Hotwire too. But this time around with 2 strollers and baby stuff galore, it is so much nicer to just walk across the street.:thumbsup2

Trudi, my DIL just stayed at Park Place, and said they've remodeled. One of these days, I want to check it out.

Beth, The masquerade party was a huge success. Everyone really got into it.
When I get home, or if I can figure out how to post pics from this computer, then then I will post. Derrick is supposed to make an YouTube pictorial of the
party to Phantom music! LOL!

Lisa! I can't believe you do not want to go to Wllimsburg. Our family spent 3
days there, and needed more time. I would love to back again. Hopefully you
will like it, once you are there. They do lots of demos, and have tours. We
took a Candlelight tour. I need to look back again to see when you are going.
The Christmas decorations are supposed to be beautiful. Have a good time for me, OK? ;)

Well, we definitely are in Texas. Flat, flat, flat. We are just about to Abilene.
We will be dropping off the tractors in Comanche. Everyone knows where that
is right? Ha ha! Then off to bring Kaitlyn to one of her friends going to college near Fort Worth. I believe we will be staying in Dallas tonight. I'm hoping to'
get a great rate from Priceline or Hotwire for a four star hotel in the downtown hob knob section. I can fraternize with the rich and famous. LOL! Then back to Comanche to help our friends move in bit. We will head home on Sunday. On the way we are meeting up with one of Dave's business associates for lunch.

Well, this is rather a long post for me...........:rolleyes1

PS-

Dawn has been on my mind so much, these last couple of days. So weird.

TGIF, ladies!! :)

Sounds like quite a few of you will be in DL during December. Hope to see some mini meets form! :thumbsup2

Mel, glad to hear your party went well. I can't wait to see some pics, especially of your costumes.

Just a reminder for everyone, sign-ups for the Christmas stocking exchange end on Tuesday, so if you are thinking of it, don't forget.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

We are going in May. the 19th - 26th. Saturdays will be travel days, so we will be IN Williamsburg the 20th - 25th. Two things I want to do are only open weekends, so my trip to the Natural History Museum will be Sunday the 20th and my trip to Busch Gardens will be Friday the 25th. That means I only have to spend 3 days in "History Hell". LOL. What can I say, I'm a cultural cretin. LOL The only museums I like are the Natural History kind and Air and Space usually. Although I did enjoy the pop culture displays at the Smithsonian. I just have no interest in History as a general rule unless it involves a disaster. Hindenburg. Titanic. Good stuff. Busch Gardens = ROLLER COASTERS! Woo hoo! Colonial Williamsburg = lectures about historical stuff. Zzzzzzzzzz.... Unless they can tie Disney into it, I'll pass.

We're driving and not leaving here until about 1pm so we won't get there until 6-7pm. Like Kelly said, we're missing some ladies by such little time!!

Chris, hope you can meet up with us. Since I'll have DD16 and her BoyF with her, I'll probably be by myself most of the time. DD22 may also be coming out, she hasn't seen WOC yet, but not sure which day we're doing that. Is anyone else interested in doing it? I'm thinking one of the meals with reserved seating, even if it's only the picnic lunch, either Friday or Saturday night.

Lots of Diva's in DL for the Holidays :) yay!

I had to leave work early today since my sons school called to let me know DS7 had an asthma attack (this has never happened before.) I picked the poor boy up and took him to the doctors...he has pnemonia. He is not on antibodies and an inhaler for the next few weeks. Now I think we will be staying in this weekend which gives me time to craft!

Lisa, my DS11 and I went for the first time last spring and had a wonderful time! See if you can take the "ghost tour", we loved it! Our group had to be split up and so we had two different guides, one an Indian/African American scout type of guy (in real life I believe he is a school teacher), very charming and told fun stories. The other was a midwife, and the stories told about Williamsburg to her group were totally different from the ones the male guide told us (as they would be in real life as well.)

During the day going into the shops was fun, too, particularly if you know anything about the current practices in these type of crafts today. DS was fascinated with the gun shop (rifles) and the armory, I really liked the apothecary and wig shops. I forget the name of the restaurant there we ate at, but the food was sooo good! We had "authentic" food, including a rich chicken pot pie, green salad, roll, homemade ice cream... and Coke/Pepsi products. :lmao:

All of that actually sounds really fun. My son is really into American history and would probably love a trip out there.

Aw, poor little guy. Hope he feels better soon.

Lisa I hate to say it but I agree with some of the other gals. I REALLY wanted to go to Colonial Williamsburg when I was in DC in 09 but we didn't have any transport. But it is def on my to do list some day. I get though that not everyone enjoys the same stuff. I mean heck there are actually crazy people who don't like Disney. SHEESH! ;) But hopefully you can find some fun in the trip. :)

Stacie I don't think we are going to do WOC this time although it would be neat to see the holiday stuff but it is just such a long ordeal waiting and it prob will be cold then so I think we are going to pass. We just did it in June. But DEF am hoping to get together with you and Trudi sometime during the weekend and hopefully chris and maybe some others might make it too!! :)

Jen sorry to hear about your son. Hope he feels better soon!

Oh typo above! lol He IS on antibodies

Lisa~ that trip sounds like a lot of fun!

My friend Christina came over last night and we followed a tutorial I found on pintrest to make tshirts into tank tops...so cute! Afterwards we were playing on the computer and on a whim I checked to see if DS8's dad has been arrested in the past two weeks....he had just been arrested 50 minutes earlier! This time for two counts of possession of a syringe, intent to sell methamphetamines, sneaking drugs into jail, and possession of narcotics. Two of those are felonies, and combined with the vehicle theft felony from August, I think he will be in jail for a long time. The one good thing is that now I can serve him with custody papers since our court date is in just over a week. My house is so crazy!popcorn:: I soooooooooooo cannnot wait for Disneyland!!!
