Girls Trip~OLD THREAD (see first post for link to new one)

Trudi's sure got a point about it being a good idea to try and drive with someone who's staying at the same location or close to. Maybe it would be a good idea to put where the cars/drivers available will be staying to help us when we figure out who will drive with who to make it a little easier? I dunno.

And I may have to amend how many people I can possibly take. I'm trying to talk a friend into going since we've got room in our studio at the villas. If she does I'd be dragging her along and could only take 2. I'm not sure yet though.
 
Hi Beth couple of things if that is ok.

I am SO excited that the CoD trip was moved since we are not getting in from our Cruise till 8 and then by the time we get our bags and transport to the park it might not be till 9 or 10. Shane is flying into LAX at 10:30 and so hopefully will be to the parks to take over the girls by 12. If that works out I know mom and I would LOVE to go. We have never been and I KNOW we won't be able to make the diva trip next year because we are taking Katy for a birthday trip on New Year's next year and won't be able to get back the next month.

We won't have a car either but if there is no room I am sure mom would be willing to even take a cab if we had to.

So if that is ok could you add us to the list and we would just need to either get directions and a time or where to meet up.

Also we are hoping to do the group pic on Sat. Otherwise I don't think we are planning on doing any of the other group activities because of Shane and the girls.

MEL I know I mentioned something about the pink shirt but I haven't heard anything and I see some are sending checks. If I somehow got missed could you please let me know how much to send and your addy again thanks. I know I sent you a check already for mom and I for last year's purple but I wanted the pink as well. THANKS!! :)

And I would love a name tag and itinerary. Would be happy to pay for whatever. Maybe Laurie or someone who is going to M&G could pick it up for me?? I still have my lanyard and would love the itinerary so if there is something mom and/or myself can stop by if Shane and the girls are off riding rides. Thanks. :)
 
BTW, if anyone is in need of or would like a new signature let me know! I've got some time to work on them over the next week.

I could go with you and help you out, keep you from temptation. I am not much of a shopper. :confused3 I'd have no problem walking in, looking all around and walking out with nothing.
When I shop with my sister-in-law, she does the shopping while I usually end up taking on the role of the man. You know, sitting on the chair outside the dressing room, holding her purse, fetching different sizes and reassuring her that no, those pants don't make her look fat. :rolleyes:

Hi Kelly. I will add you and your mom to the CoD list. I doubt you'll need a cab. There seem to be plenty of cars.

Dare I say that I'm thinking about doing the 1/2 Marathon in September :eek:. You put the idea into my head on FB and now I'm seriously considering it. I haven't ran since high school so this should be interesting :laughing:. However, I like the idea of having a fitness goal to keep me motivated so as long as I remember to sign up before it sells out, I'll be there :thumbsup2.

Katie, you should sign up for the Half in September ;) Or if you want to start small do the 5K. I had to work my way up. Wait, I am working my way up, haha.
Don't tell her that :P She can fit a 5K in while she works her way up.

Who is driving from GCH? Now that I am thinking about it, hauling goodies through the bag checks would be a nightmare!

I'm thinking that those staying at the Carousel and going to CoD ride with me and Sarah, that way you and your loot will be delivered right back to the hotel rather than HoJo's. If people shop like I do it's a lot to carry back to your hotel. I have room for 3 others so anyone interested just let me know.

I'm staying at the Ramada Inn Maingate.....so catching a ride from the Carousel would be a way shorter walk for me & all my stuff (I had a couple big bags last time.....lol) -vs- the HoJo. If I could ride with you that would be awesome!

AS FOR THE MEET -N- GREET SNACK TABLE:

I DO ASK THAT IF YOU ARE MAKING A SPECIAL THING/BRINGING A SPECIAL THING (those doing that know who they are)......MAKE SURE THERE IS ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE, SINCE IT'S A SPECIAL ITEM.

RIGHT NOW WE HAVE 45, BUT I'D LIKE TO HAVE A FEW SPARES JUST IN CASE.

I've slowly been losing my dad over the years, due to the alzheimer's. I don't want him to suffer & really don't know if he's really "living".....but these are not things anyone ever wants to face. Heavy sigh........

Beth thanks so much for the info on the shirts. I think Mel and I have it all coordinated now. ;) And can you add mom and I to the list of CoD people that need a ride? Like I said if there is not enough room we can prob grab a cab if we need to. But our plan is once we get to the resort we need to check in at our hotel and then we will head to the park. We just need to meet up with Shane so he can take over the girls and then we will be available. So I would just need to know where to meet up with whoever is driving. We can meet at the BBQ or wherever else is convenient.

I've got a PM out to Tammy. Even thought she's listed on the needing a ride part, she posted on FB that she actually has a Tahoe which should fit several ladies.
