We get good produce year round in Calif. Even the tomatoes taste pretty good right now (but not as good as the off the vine summer crop)
I love the summer fruits and veggies. Yum!

I don't do ToT either. I know that ride would make me an unhappy camper. A single drop, I could probably handle, but the up and down would do a number on both my stomach and my head. No thanks. LOL
Same here. I've been on ToT but never again. I even went on the Maliboomer a few times when it was still there, but I did not like it. :scared1:

That is the most stressful part of the day, trying to figure out what to make for dinner. I never want to hear that question "What's for dinner?".
Ugh, I hate that!! Lately those words really piss me off. lol

I had responded on FB that I would like to go to CoD but didn't see my name here. :confused3 Please add me to the list. :)

Thank you.

steph
Aw, Steph. I'd never forget you. I added you right when you asked me to. Your name is on the bottom section riding with your roomies, Tammy, Wendy, Katie, and Deb. Unless you'd rather ride elsewhere. Just let me know. But you were always on the list.

Beth we would love to ride with Jill or whoever. Just let us know. We are staying at the DLH so not too far from GCH. We will be happy to meet whoever wherever. Thanks!! :)
Well, why don't I just add you with Jill since she has room. If I need to change anything later we can.

Last years Diva trip was the first time I ever went on TOT. Somehow Mel, Tina and Vicki talked me into it. Haha, I was petrified, but good memories.
Ahhh, peer pressure. :thumbsup2

Sorry Beth. It's been one of those days. Thanks. :)

you have some great plans, minus the wine and adding TOT ::yes:: Being scared is part of the fun. :thumbsup2

Minus the wine?!!! That's crazy talk right there!

You're loveable so I'm sure someone will hang out with you :lovestruc. But now that you mentioned Al Fresco lounge, I want to go there! I'll have to try and squeeze this into my plans.

Awwwww, thanks Katie.

Squeeze the lounge on in. I'll go with you. There is never too much lounge time on a ladies trip. :thumbsup2

I won't be at CoD either. And Bree will be at work. She doesn't arrive until 6 pm on Friday. I would love to join you guys. Yes on the wine, no on the Tot! I have been wanting to try the wine flight with cheese pairings. It gets fabulous reviews. Plus, we may have FPasses gathered from the morning that we can use.

Yay! I want to try the wine flight/cheese pairing as well. It sounds wonderful.

Its a date. Plus, you're hot! ;)

It doesn't bother my stomach or head. It's just that the drops scare me like no other ride. Hands-shaking-can't-get-fingers-to-work-to-pay-for-water-after-riding-it type shaking. :goodvibes

Bock, bock, bock (okay, I'm terrified of TOT too, but it's fun to make fun of you!)

:p

Oh and I LOVE TOT!! I only went on it once the last time I was there so more than ready to go!! :)

Uhhhh, yeah. I, ummmm...ummmmm..love it too. It doesn't scare me in the slightest. :rolleyes1

Last years Diva trip was the first time I ever went on TOT. Somehow Mel, Tina and Vicki talked me into it. Haha, I was petrified, but good memories.

Jess, I'm pretty sure Mel, Tina and Vicki have talked me into doing something I didn't want to either. Those three are quite the influential type. :rolleyes1

Yes. Yes they are. The influential type. For talking the innocent into riding the ride that shall not be named. :ssst:

Are your boys adventurous eaters or picky?

Justin (18) is more adventurous now, some things we use to cook thinking "yum, all for you and me" now need to be shared..but no tofu, he thinks it's "weird".

Noah (almost 16)..oh Noah, Noah, Woah.. the teenager that lives on peanut butter and crackers, eats his spaghetti plain with no sauce. :sad2: But we have to fight over the last pieces of roasted tofu. :rotfl:

Uhhhh, well.... I made lemon bars. :confused3

I made sour cream coffee cake, all cinnamony yummyness. mmmmmmmmm.

I can totally do TOT, but no wheel-of-death-swinging-gondola-OMG-I'm-going-to-die.

Up, down, strapped in, not going anywhere :thumbsup2

versus

why does this thing not have a seatbelt?
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sliding off my seat, make desperate grab for hubby -HELP!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I don't care if it now has a cutesy Mickey head... it's scary.. and so NOT nice.

I didn't care for Maliboomer, feeling my stomach (and all my bodacious rolls of blubber) move is not a good thing. Shudder, Ugh!

I could happily stay in Fantasyland in the dark rides all day. :goodvibes Had to torture my teenagers with them on every trip. "whine, can we go to DCA now? We're bored!"

NO.

Let's ride Snow White again!!! :yay: :flower3::upsidedow

muahahahhhaaaaaaaaaaa, the evil mother rules yet again!

Last years Diva trip was the first time I ever went on TOT. Somehow Mel, Tina and Vicki talked me into it. Haha, I was petrified, but good memories.
Who me? :littleangel:

:stir::stir::stir:

:rotfl:

By the way, is your offer still good for a ride to CoD? If so, put me down as one of your passengers.:thumbsup2

Capri, I want to try that La Fresco place, whatever the name was again. :rolleyes1
LOL...I don't even know where it is, but you have me quite curious.

I needs to go look it up.

Editing to add, that not only am I quite curious, I am also quite stupid. How come I never realized the wine bar at DCA was called Al Fresco? LOL... Haha!

Whew! That took awhile to catch up. It's been busy that last couple of days. Lots of good stuff to read.

THe schedule looks good to me! Can we add a POC group ride after the scavvy hunt and a JC group ride after Sunday breakfast?

Great idea! We had fun on POC last year.

The Matterhorn is already down. When Jill and I were there on Friday, there was scaffolding all around the mountain.

Grizzly River is also scheduled to be down over at DCA.

On the plus side, almost everything else should be up and running. :goodvibes

:sad2: Bummer for both the Matterhorn and Grizzly River being closed. I love them both and thought since I was was staying at GCV this year I'd be able to Grizzly River an end of the night ride and then sneak back to the hotel to dry off.

So Excited!!!! Can't wait to see all y'all!!

- Cynthia

Ditto Roomie :)

Laurie has also made some pretty wicked name tags for our meet n greet! You all will just die when you see them! :scared1:

:thumbsup2 Very cool!

Wow, is everyone going to CoD? Looks like I'll be partying it up at the parks all by my lonesome. Hmmmmm, what shall I do? Maybe I'll head over the CA to check out the progress on Carsland and BVS....ride a few rides....maybe have a glass of wine at the Al Fresco Lounge and people watch before heading back over to DL to meet up with everyone for dinner. :)

What I will not be doing is riding the TOT! :scared1:

Capri, I'm leaning towards staying in the park too. I'd love to hang out...and maybe try to convince you how great TOT is. Really, you'd love it. Would I lie? Never.

I'm not going, solo wandering around the parks is fun or I'm sure there are others who will join you if you wish... you have some great plans, minus the wine and adding TOT ::yes:: Being scared is part of the fun. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Totally love TOT! It actually gives me the giggles. Just love it.

The weekend is almost here and I hope you all make it a great one. I can't believe we're down to just over a month. It will be here before we know it and I can't wait.

Who me? :littleangel:

:stir::stir::stir:

:rotfl:

And hey, nowadays I can even get in TOT without holing someone hand (thanks Tina's mom)!

And yes there is still room with me so yay!

Oh rats and drat. I had this long and, if I do say so myself, witty, post all typed out with multi quotes and EVERYTHING and poof it went away. Not patient enough to reconstuct it.

Dang it was funny. Easy come easy go.

So while all of you are at CoD and eating cheese and drinking wine, maybe I will see if I can beat my ToT record. The first year while a group was eating at the Blue Bayou ( I am WAY to frugal to go there, thank you very much...and really spend that much time eating when I could be doing Disney?)..I rode ToT eleven times. Yep 11.

A personal record.

I liked Maliboomer. I can not ride the swinging gondolas because of extreme motion sickness, no fear, just vomit. :scared1:

Oh, and I love tofu too.

Have I covered everything?

........... That is the most stressful part of the day, trying to figure out what to make for dinner. I never want to hear that question "What's for dinner?".

I solved this problem years ago. One day I wrote down the names of everything I know how to make. Separate papers for main dishes ,soups, sides, salads. etc. Now I just look through the pages and pick out things to make for the week and shop accordingly. It makes it so easy . I try new things a lot but if it's not well received it doesn't go on the list.

That's a good idea :thumbsup2 I know that when I'm really organized and actually plan out the week ahead of time (and write it down on a calendar page schedule), it makes shopping far easier (okay, I still may pick out a few extras, just because ;) ) and it's so easy knowing what you need to make that day, if anything is frozen, whatever. The only problem is no one else wants to help figure out that part - darn their black pirate hearts pirate: Why is it always the girlie's responsibility to feed everyone? They all eat more than I do...... Hmmmmmmmm

AmySue - you rode TOT 11 times in ONE DAY??? Ack! I would have barfed for sure. I can handle it one time if I have to, but I am happiest if I can avoid it. I'm too skeered of those drops - no bueno.

Oh, I've been on the TOT. Twice actually. It gives my hubby the giggles too. It's one of his favorite rides. It gives me the YIKES!

I like the swinging gondolas though, so what does that make me...weird? :rolleyes1

Capri, I want to try that La Fresco place, whatever the name was again. :rolleyes1

Hahaha! That's okay Mel, wine has a tendency to make people forget things like that. Not that I would know of course. :rolleyes1

That would be so cool! I hope you break it! :yay:

And, I've never had tofu. Like, ever. Bring on the meat! :goodvibes

About rides to CoD - maybe Lisa and I could ride with Jessica since she is in our villa group at the Grand? Although I guess it really doesn't matter as long as we could get dropped off there. I am bringing a suitcase to fill. ;)

TGIF, ladies!!! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Sorry Beth. It's been one of those days. Thanks. :)
No need for apologies. Just wanted you to know you'd never be forgotten. :) Well, you might, if I wasn't paying attention, but it wouldn't be on purpose. :rotfl:

Minus the wine?!!! That's crazy talk right there!
:rotfl2:

I made sour cream coffee cake, all cinnamony yummyness. mmmmmmmmm.
Now that sounds good. I am more of a cinnamony person then a lemony person.

Let's ride Snow White again!!! :yay: :flower3::upsidedow
I love Snow White. Mainly because it almost never has a line. :lmao:

Yeah, keep stirring. We know you are really a sneaky one. ;)

Capri, I'm leaning towards staying in the park too. I'd love to hang out...and maybe try to convince you how great TOT is. Really, you'd love it. Would I lie? Never.
Capri, it's a trap! Don't fall for it. :rolleyes1

I can not ride the swinging gondolas because of extreme motion sickness, no fear, just vomit. :scared1:
I hate those swinging gondolas. And yet, I've been on them at least four times. Why do I insist on punishing myself?? :confused3 What would Freud say about that?

You are so organized! I want to be just like Trudi. :worship:

Why is it always the girlie's responsibility to feed everyone?
Ruben offers to cook sometimes, but I won't let him. He's messy. lol

I like the swinging gondolas though, so what does that make me...weird? :rolleyes1
Why yes, yes, it does. ::yes::

About rides to CoD - maybe Lisa and I could ride with Jessica since she is in our villa group at the Grand?
I can make that change if it's all cool with her. That would mean it's Jess, Mel, you and your DD. Will that work, Jess? :)

Good morning ladies and TGIF!!! It's a 3-day weekend for me since my kids are out of school on Monday for a teacher inservice day and my son talked me into booking a 1-bedroom villa for his girlfriends birthday.

I'll just say my son sure loves to spoil his girlfriend, but at my expense LOL (I do make him repay me by working it off and watching Laila when I need a break). But I want him to be a thoughtful husband in the future so I encourage him.

His plans for her birthday also include a gift basket and cake in the room from Vacation Planning and lunch at Blue Bayou .

It should be fun especially since I also get to hang out with Adara which is a very rare opportunity now-a-days.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Wow, great plans! That's awesome that you encourage him. He will make a good husband one day. :) Even if it does cost you a pretty penny now!! lol

Happy Friday!

Katie, Capri, Mel - Lisa & I are up with the Lounge. And Mel, I also called it the Wine Bar also - did not know it's proper name!!

Starting to put the Scavy Hunt Package together - :magnify::magnify::magnify:

Gonna be fun!!:yay::yay:
