Kerri I SO know what you mean!! Katy was due on xmas day but born on NYE. It is SO frustrating because I usually have to do her birthday a whole week AFTER her birthday to get anyone to come LOL. She HATES having her birthday a week after xmas too because there is nothing to look forward to later in the year and she always feels like she gets "gipped" lol because my parents think they don't have to give her very much cuz she "just got stuff for xmas" lol.

But I told her eventhough it sucks right NOW when she is older she will love it. In fact for her 13th birthday this year we are taking her to DL to brave the NYE crowds. And I told her when she turns 16 if we can afford it we will go to NYC and do times square.

My exes is on May 29th so also close to memorial day and mine is June 3 so it always sucked too having our birthday so close together but now that we are divorced I don't have to worry about that anymore LOL. ;)

We seem to have a lot in common.....lol

Today is my last day in Marina del Rey .... heading back to Sacramento tonight. Can't wait to see my DH and pets but sad to leave the beach.

Kerri I know right. Oh and my anniversary was on Valentine's day. Go figure LOL. And my older daughter's b-day was exactly a week before on 2/7. Shelby's is the only one not really near anything. Her's was last week 4/27 but sometimes it is close to easter but that is not that big of a deal.

Linda hope you enjoyed your trip and I don't blame you I wouldn't want to leave either ;)

Nice and quiet in here. Makes it easy to catch up! LOL So glad hubby is re-employed since we are spending about $900 on his car today. 120k mile service - the one with the timing belt. Ugh.

I booked the timeshare (Wyndham Bonnet Creek) for my WDW trip. Looking at a Nov 24 arrival and a December 1 departure. Now I have to wait until June 4 when Southwest opens up the next chunk of flight dates and hope I can get a seat using my freebie ticket! Not worried about the flight back, but since the one going out is Thanksgiving weekend..... Just need to make sure I'm up, online and ready to go at 6AM Central on the 4th of June. That's 4 AM here. Bleh. And they could release the schedule ANY time that day, so my plan is to be glued to the computer until it happens. LOL Ought to be a super fun day.

My hub's b-day is July 6th and I'm July 7th. We always have to share a cake. Not that I need a cake all to myself.

Good on your hub being re-employed but no fun spending hard earned money on car services.
Are you going to WDW alone?

Thanks!! :) I've spoken to my boss and he's OK with whatever I take off. :) Which is good because our company just lost a pretty major client for our location and we are only going to have 3-4 employees after the end of this month.......yes, I am one of them, and yes, I am also mentally prepared for them to simply close this branch completely, it would suck but I would move on. :)

I hear you. ALL of our birthdays are around holidays, mine is May 25th, Memorial Day weekend, Cassidy's is July 8th, 4th of July, Jade's is December 15, Micah's is January 7th and Cami's is February 16th......LOL

Kerri, if one door closes another one ALWAYS opens!!

Ha!! One of my sons (Connor to be exact and born on the Monday of Memorial Day weekend) birthday is on the 25th!! Then Forrest is the 26 (was born on the Sunday of Memorial weekend) and pulling up the rear is Hunter on the 30th(was the Tuesday after Memorial weekend) !! Yep I have Memorial Day weekend in the bag!!!:lmao::lmao:

Erin has to share her birthday with the Thanksgiving turkey every five
years  and mine and my husband's wedding anniversary is New Years Eve.

I have a plan ole' October 2 birthday myself:upsidedow

.

Yeah!! for hubby being employed again!! Boo:sad1: about car repairs.

My hubby got to spend all day replacing brakes on one car then replacing the starter (which we thought was the problem) in my suburban and it ran for about 3 blocks and *dies* soo...he tries replacing fuel filter but nope....that wasn't it...So AAA tows it back home and now it sits lonely in drive way:sad2: Hubby now in bed after a long hot shower, poor guy. Tomorrow is a new day:wizard:

Hope everyone is having a blessed :wizard: weekend!!!

Trudi yeah Shane and I always had to share as well and since his birthday came first we always ended up celebrating ours together with an emphasis on his and then 6 days later when mine happened it was kind of like oh we just DID that LOL. I will admit I am glad that is no longer the case so I can FINALLY have my OWN day for a change ;)

Charma wow what happened 9 months earlier LOL. Must have been a good time LOL ;) (meaning for you to have 3 kiddos born around the same exact time you must have gotten pg around the same time each time :) )

Lisa congrats on the job for the dh. And I agree BOO on the car stuff. That sucks esp when it is an unexpected expense.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Morning ladies! I am so far behind in keeping up. :guilty:

Tomorrow is Reesepuzel's and Luca's Tangled party. Today I am making Hazelnut soup and "Snuggly Duckling" cut out cookies. The girls are making banners, braids, a donut tower cake, Pasquel cupcakes, an art play center, pin the nose on Flynn Rider, and so on. They even ordered those lanterns that you send off into the sky! I'm going to wear my Mother Gothel costume that I wore to the Meet and Greet. LOL!

Hope everyone is well. :flower3:
This sounds so cute Mel! Did you take pictures?
My birthday is July 7th. Yea for July birthdays !

Mine is July 10th! The big 3-0 this year :scared1: I would love to be in DL for my birthday, but we will have been there the week before. My present this year is a large tattoo on my thigh hehehe...I am pretty excited about it.

Beth~ I hope you are having a blast in SD and DL!

Just a few more weeks until school is out and 49 days until our family vacation. :cool1: We added an extra day at the end of our trip since it is my husband's day off anways. We thought it would be better to spend 2 days in SD and not feel rushed than to drive down for the Safari park and then head home, all in one day. Other than that, things are good here and I found out that my son's dad was forced to choose jail or rehab and chose rehab. I spent a month doing that and now has random drug testing twice a week. If he fails, he goes to jail. Glad to see he is cleaning up (even if it was forced).

Katie~ I wish you could adopt me...I want to go to Disneyland as often as you do!:wave2:

July 6th is a good day for a birthday. Just sayin. LOL

At this point, yes, my trip is solo. I have an open invite to several of my friends. One really wants to go, but doesn't think she will be able to get the time off. She's the one I went there with back in 2010.

It wasn't entirely unexpected. We've been putting it off for a couple months now. LOL

Going solo can be fun. Do what you want when you want.:goodvibes
That's why I have many solo DL days.

Gee I wonder what Beth is doing at the moment. LOL

We share the same b-day :thumbsup2.

Sure I'll adopt you ;). Do you do dishes?

Enjoying some wine, no doubt -or other mixed alchohol. :beach:

Um...Beth & alcohol??? Those are usually not in the same sentence LOL.

I saw Beth and her family for a quick minute yesterday. All her kids looked excited about going to Disneyland (even Adam :rotfl:).

I did see something that just shocked me yesterday (and that's pretty hard to do), but this little girl was walking and didn't want to sit in her stroller and the dad yelled out "Get in the F'ing stroller you little B*@ch!"

My jaw just hit the ground and these 2 ladies that were walking next to me literally gasped out loud. I understand people get tired and stressed sometimes, but that was totally out of line. Poor little girl to have such a douche for a father :guilty:.

Well we have been told we are not closing, we have been told that we are in fact getting 2 new clients into our facility, one that will need a huge amount of space. We have been told we are going to lease the office space where our other building is and I will have a working office by June 1st......we will see how accurate that is, it took 2 weeks for me to get email and log ins so I could actually work......lol
I need new brakes on the minivan.........
And yes, you my friend, have the monopoly on Memorial Day weekend birthdays. LOL That is too funny!!!! Guess we know when your DH was around the most.......:rotfl:

OMG how mean!!!!! I would have gasped out loud as well and probably found the closest CM to report him.....not that it would have done any good but I would have done it anyway. lol Poor little girl.....

We had a busy weekend!! We hosted a "frag swap" at our house on Saturday, that's when people come and trade or sell frags (which are small pieces of live corals from our saltwater tanks), so we had people in and out from noon to about 5, it was fun, we got some nice stuff but we made zero money. lol Then my friend came over and we BBQ'd hamburgers, YUMMY!!!!! I almost went out that night but decided not to, now I wish I had. Oh well.....
Sunday Micah and I had champagne brunch, $13.99 for all you can drink champagne or sparkling cider, I had 3 glasses of champagne with my Bay Omelette, it was soooooooooooo good!!! Then we went to Napa so I could pick up my wine shipment from Sutter Home. I was supposed to go to Pub Quiz last night but it was cancelled because of the Lakers/Nuggets game :( so instead we went to all you can sushi......and I've decided I like that sushi place better for all you can eat because you get smaller rolls, the drawback is that they don't have my favorite rolls.....but oh well, I can deal. We only do sushi every couple of months anyway, so we can switch off. lol Left there happily full and headed for home, where I messed with the new memory card I got for my phone, it's not working right tho so I'm totally annoyed and I gave up. I'll try again tomorrow or something. I have class tonight, I'm teaching "chocolate city hustle", will be fun!! For dinner we will have chicken enchiladas......mmmmmm :)

Hello, hello, ladies!! :cool1: Happy Hump Day!

This Saturday we are leaving! Heading to San Diego (well, Ocean Beach to be exact), and then to Disneyland.

Beth - hope you are having a great time!

:lmao: :rotfl2: You are crazy, Bridget!!! Please tell us all about the madness. I want to hear all the details.

Don't I know it - would not be my first choice but.... I did convince her to let me book rooms at the Sheraton on Harbor with my points for the night before so at least we will save the hour drive in the morning!

I did see something that just shocked me yesterday (and that's pretty hard to do), but this little girl was walking and didn't want to sit in her stroller and the dad yelled out "Get in the F'ing stroller you little B*@ch!"

I would have been too shocked to say anything. That is just so wrong on so many levels! I really hope Karma gets him bad!

My friend LisaDog (that you all meet on the last 2 trips) and I decided to do a Baltic cruise in August! Just did all the booking today on Seabourn. I am so excited to spend 3 days in St. Petersburg!

We are having a little bit of a heat wave - I really don't like hot weather! Hope it cools off soon.

That is totally uncalled for. Why is it that we need a license to drive a car or heck even to go fishing but anyone can be a parent!!

Yes, August was a fertile month for me, yes sirre! Thankfully I am no longer married to the boys' father.:woohoo:

Sushi!?!? Sushi!?!? YUMMMM....have you been to the little place in Davis...all you can eat?

Well, tomorrow is the big day...don't know if we will be getting out to do much sightseeing....to many tv shows to catch!!:lmao::lmao:;)

Have a magical week everyone!!

Take 2 - the computer crashed last time....

We share the same b-day :thumbsup2.

Sure I'll adopt you ;). Do you do dishes?

Why yes I do....

Sad day.

Wow...that is pretty rotten
The other day, my friend Porsche was at the dentist and a mom said to the dentist who was trying to pronounce the daughters name, "naw, b%^ch! My baby name not Uhh-dive-uhh!! It Uh-dee-vuh, cuz b$#ch been a diva since she born!"

Bad parents of the year award?

So the hubs gave me the thumbs up to go to Hawaii this summer for a few days to see one of my best friends who lives on Oahu. Free place to stay? Yes please! I have never been so I am uber excited!!!
