TGIF ladies!! This has seemed like the longest week EVER!
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Did anyone get the email for the AP Night for Fantasmic?
Hi, Sarah!
No, what is that about?

Hi Divas! It has been a crazy busy month so I haven't been on for a while but just wanted to pop in and say hi.
Hi, Pam!

I will be off to Vegas this weekend with my daughter and I get to see Beth and Jane!! Can't wait! I am taking my DD to see Love for her birthday gift.
Can't wait to catch up with you, Vicki!! :cool1:

Hey everyone! I am trying to catch up, but there have been a few pages of chatting since we left on our WDW trip! We got back a few days ago, and we had a blast.
Welcome back, Andrea! Glad you had fun! :wizard:

Beth, I saw the hotel you booked and it sounds like you got a great deal. You should have a blast. I love a good deal! Next weekend my friend and I are heading to Reno on a Living Social deal. A great price and great friends...I can't wait.
Hi, Jodi! I'm excited to get back to the beach. :thumbsup2 Have a wonderful time in Reno!

Come say hi to me ;)
Hi, Jessica. Where are you working in the parks? My family and I will be there May 6, 7 and 8. I'd love to give a quick wave as I trod along behind my eager kids. lol

Tomorrow is Reesepuzel's and Luca's Tangled party. Today I am making Hazelnut soup and "Snuggly Duckling" cut out cookies. The girls are making banners, braids, a donut tower cake, Pasquel cupcakes, an art play center, pin the nose on Flynn Rider, and so on. They even ordered those lanterns that you send off into the sky! I'm going to wear my Mother Gothel costume that I wore to the Meet and Greet. LOL!

Hope everyone is well. :flower3:
Oh, Mel, that sounds so neat!! Please share some pics when you can. I want to see it all!! :goodvibes

I'm going laptop shopping again this weekend. So many to choose from and so little money to spend.
:rotfl: Aw, good luck finding what you need.

Hubby is officially employed and on payroll. We filled out insurance forms last night. Hooray!
That's great news, Lisa!! :)

Speaking of payroll and jobs....Micah interviewed for a new job yesterday, it sounded like he did really well and they really liked him, if he was to get this position it would mean a slightly longer commute (60 min instead of 45) but it would also mean a LOT more pay......so, keep your fingers crossed he gets an offer! :)
Fingers crossed!! :wizard:
Have fun meeting your friend for the first time. Funny to think about being friends that long and never meeting face to face. Ah, the internet! lol

Kerri my Katy was born in Dec 99 too. Small world. ;)

That is too cool!! Jade was born on the 15th. :)

I know, it's almost like it will be when I finally meet you........LOL :) And Jess.....and Vicki.....sheesh.......and all the other Diva's I know online. LOL

Kerri Katy was born on the 31st. I am sure I don't have to tell you the significance of THAT day that year LOL. It was CRAZY. That is really cool that you are meeting your friend. Was it by chance Baby Center? Just wondered cuz I was on that board but with my younger daughter. I joined a birth month board and was friends with several of the gals till the kids were in kindergarten but as things do it slowly faded away :( But now I am on this one so it's all good. ;)

OMG, yes, it was BC!! When they merged the Dec 99 group with the larger groups a bunch of us made our own board....that's so crazy! We let the board go because we are all on FB and part of a big group there, it's easy to just post on FB and everything stays private. What was your s/n on BC? I wonder if I would remember you....I think I used xfan71, which was my email address at the time......

OMG small world lol. Yeah my group broke off from the and we had our own private group but then people started fading away and it got down to just a few of us and I am sure I don't have to tell you like every board there were a few fanatics which in that case meant people that breast fed till their kids were teenagers or some other crazy stuff LOL so we eventually just lost touch.

But my screenname was the same as it has been Kelmac284. But I didn't post on the 99 board I posted on the April 2001 cuz that is when my younger daughter was born.

CRAZY huh LOL. But back then those boards were pretty popular. I also used to watch Baby Story on TLC and I think that is where I heard about it. Do they even still HAVE Baby Center???

That is SO cool that you guys still keep in touch!!! When my ex went to Iraq I joined an Armywives site back in 03 when he was deployed and I was on it till just recently. Technically still am a member but he got out of the army and now we are divorced so don't have much in common with them anymore LOL.

That is why I love it here. Don't have to worry about me ever stopping my Disney Addiction. ;)

YAY for no more COBRA! I don't know how people can afford that, it would have taken all of my unemployment to do COBRA and that would have only covered me! :scared1:

We were pretty lucky this last time that his previous employer had crappy insurance. Our COBRA was only $550 a month for BOTH of us. It was Kaiser, but it was a pretty bare bones plan with higher copays, but all we needed.

Quiet weekend here. Got some yard work done. Cleaned the disaster area otherwise known as my crafting table. OMG - what a MESS!

Hi Everyone!
Mel, that party sounds amazing!

Busy weekend, after a two day garage sale and getting rid of tons of stuff, then loaded up and drove to my Mom's house for day with my sister and my cousin. We made flower baskets for them. The giant large ones, and then a couple of small ones for me and Nathan's teacher. Just got home a bit ago and I am one tired puppy. Hubby stayed home and worked and brushed dog, did laundry and vacuumed. I was really grumpy when I went to go to bed and my bed was covered with laundry. So I decided to come and say hello, instead of yelling at my husband. I mean seriously, should I be mad about that? Probably not, but I was. OK, feel better now:)

Have a good night!
Tracey

My DD and I made a quick trip to DL yesterday. It seemed really busy to me. Fast passes for TOT and Indiana Jones were sold out mid afternoon. So not too many rides for us .... mostly just wandered around and enjoyed the sunny day. We did enjoy our lunch at Catal .... not too busy and it was fun watching all the people for the quiet peaceful balcony.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Tracey - I would be peeved if I was so tired and came home to find my bed covered in laundry (OK, I am a grumpy sod though!). Mind you, I would just shove it all to his side and climb on in!!! I don't know why men can't complete the job, you know? Yes, it is thoughtful to do the laundry though and it's probably better to not freak or it won't happen again ;)

Yay for making flower baskets :thumbsup2

BC is still around, as far as I know they still have the chat boards too. I learned about it because I was searching for a certain type of nipple for bottle feeding, I'd used it for Cassidy and wanted it for Jade, couldn't find it in the store so I did an online search and found the boards. lol We had a few Mom's who breastfed forever as well.....LOL So funny that we were both there, only on different boards. lol

Well in my house I'm the only one who does the laundry for me and DBF so if there was laundry all over the bed it would be because I left it there. LOL I'd be annoyed if Micah did that but I probably wouldn't say anything either because it would mean someone did the laundry besides me.....lol

I had a busy but fun weekend. Went out Friday night with friends, had a couple drinks, ate In & Out at 1:30 am.....LOL got up Saturday and did the frag swap thing, we came home with some good stuff, hopefully it all lives and thrives in our fish tank!! :) Saturday night Micah and I had a "date", we went to Applebee's for dinner and then watched 21 Jump Street....OMG I laughed so hard!!!!!!!!! I loved it!!! Sunday we got up a little later, watched the A's get beat (sucked because they should have won), went to Home Depot and got some stuff for sprinkler work (we want to set up a watering system for the patio, we have some potted plants and hanging plants for that area that we need to have auto watered lol), got some veggies to plant and a few flowers for the front yard. We didn't get them planted tho, while at HD we ran into someone I used to work with at Dunlop, we caught up and exchanged phone numbers, hoping to get together with them soon, they are a great couple to hang out with. :) When we got home (oh ya, we bought a dwarf Meyer lemon tree too!!!! I'm so excited about that!!) we unloaded the car and had zero time to plant anything, it was time to get ready to go to SF to meet Tina & Paul. So we did that and off we went, hit a bit of traffic that slowed us down a bit but we made it, we walked in and I recognized Tina immediately! We hugged and sat down to eat, we had some really amazing food and wine and just talked for hours. lol It was so much fun! I wish they could have extended their trip so they could be here next weekend but they leave on Friday. It was so nice to spend time with someone I've known for so long, it was a really great weekend.
Now, back to work, my drive in today sucked, I left for work 20 minutes before I had to be here and I was still 20 minutes late...it took me 40 minutes to make a 15 minute drive! I have NO idea why but it started my day off bad! I have class tonight, I'm teaching Gatlin Boogie, should be fun!

I was there yesterday too ;) The Parks sure were busy. The CM was joking with me when I got to the parking lot (which was a zoo) that I picked a wonderful day to come in on a day off, lol. We didn't do much either, a lot of meandering but there's nothing wrong there!

Kerri I know right!! It's REALLY ironic too because I WOULD have been on the same board as you for Katy but I never was on that one I don't think. I think I didn't know about it when I was pg with Katy but somehow found it with Shelby. But yeah that is really weird. ;)

We had a good but busy weekend. Friday was Shelby's 11th b-day so we took her out to dinner with grandpa and grandma and then Sat the girls and I were crazy mad cleaning and then she had a small party with a few kids. She invited 4 but only 2 could come so I had Katy invite one of their mutual friends from swim team. She was going to spend the night so Shelby asked if her friend could stay. Well at 1 a.m. I was woken by Katy saying that Shelby's friend was scared and wanted to go home and they had ALREADY called his mom without even telling me. I felt bad but she totally understood and was cool with it. I felt so bad though for the mom AND for the little boy but the mom said he still had a blast and overall I think the party went well.

Katy has missed swim practice for 2 weeks and will miss AGAIN all this week because of cheer. She has 2 track meets and this clinic all week and of course swim which she will miss but Shelby is going to and their dad is going out of town AGAIN on Thurs through Sun so will be another crazy week. Will be glad when it is over. WHEW!

Hope everyone is well and has a good night!

Anyone want to help me make a decision on something? Or just tell me I'm insane for even considering this:

I'm registered for a 1/2 Marathon on Sunday back home (well, I guess it's not really home anymore) in the Bay Area. I've got a hotel room booked in SF and everything. I was waiting to see my work schedule before making any definitive decision and if I decide to go ahead and do this I'll be working Saturday morning from 4 to 8 am and then hitting the road for home and continuing to SF. Then getting up early Sunday for the 1/2 and driving back home on Sunday. Then I work again Monday morning from 4 to 8 am.

Insane, right? I'm really torn on what to do. It wouldn't be the worst 48 pull I've tried lately as far as sleep is concerned but I wasn't also trying to fit 6 hour car drives and a 13.1 mile race into the mix as well.

Thoughts?

ETA: Plus the idea of seeing my family for a short period of time is a big pull. I'm going t try and see if I can get Monday off and trade with someone, but I'm not holding my breath.

Jessica, are you used to working those early shifts? Reason is that might throw off your clock? I think it would be really good if you are able to get Monday off. Feels like that six hours drive back would be tiring after a thirteen mile run. Maybe if you had a friend who would share the drive with you? Otherwise, I would be tempted to opt out for another time.

Crazy work schedule, huh?? I vote for going to visit your family and forgetting the run :thumbsup2 Okay, truthfully I'll always vote for skipping the run, but that does sound a little brutal, but everything would be doable without the pesky little 13.1 mile jaunt in the middle of it.

I don't really know how to answer the first question. I am used to the 4 am shift, but I'm also used to not getting any sleep before them and making it out OK. They are short, 4 hours only, so I go in, get out and go to sleep as soon as I get home. I used to have one overnight shift a week so I would pull a 24+ hour day every week because I rarely got sleep before going back in from 10pm to 6am.

I've done this driving spread before over the same period of time, just never with a 13.1 mile run smack dab in the middle of it.

And I don't have anyone to go with me. I barely know anyone down here let alone anyone to take the trip with me. Add in the fact they wouldn't have a place to stay unless they want to find another hotel for a night since the room I'm staying with friends for the Half is packed already it's not really an option. But who am I kidding, I can't be on that kind of a drive if I'm not the one behind the wheel anyway. I have serious control issues on the road.

:rotfl2: Well that sounds wonderful too. But I'd be pissed at myself for being that close to the race and not going considering I paid for it and all.

Ugh, I hope it's not really crowded when we are there.

Hope everyone is doing well! Busy day here today. I'll try to catch up tomorrow. Night!
