Whew. All caught up.
Hi girls--sorry I haven't been around too much lately--the DBF/Ex-DBF is now definitely the EX. He moved all of his stuff out tonight. I didn't think I would be that upset--after all it was me who decided that it was for the best, but after three years I guess you get used to having someone around, KWIM?
...severe migraines...stupid rib thing...my whole left side went numb.
I saw in a later post that you've seen a chiro, but I would highly recommend finding a different one, perhaps a better one, and going regularly. My hubby had migraines from the age of 3 until around 28, when I met him. Found him one night in a fetal position on the couch, and I insisted that he let me adjust him (retired chiro)...I practiced using Network Spinal Analysis, which is very gentle and a bit woo-woo seeming LOL, but after a year of regular care, he isn't a migraine-sufferer anymore.
As for the rib issue, it could easily be a rib head that is a tiny bit out of place, irritating the nerve endings. Now, when I practiced, I wouldn't have taken care of that, just didn't know how (my school was focused ONLY on vertebrae not "extremities"), so if you choose to find someone, ask if they'll check out your ribs and if they know how to manipulate them.
As for a side going numb, well, that whole combo just screams a very likely upper cervical vertebra (or more than one) being out of alignment, and the migraines tell me they've been "out" for a very long time.
Now we're all under care with an Atlas Orthogonal practitioner, which is just as gentle but they use a machine so it's not "woo woo" at all. She's terrific, and we're all a million times better in every way because of it.
So I would highly recommend finding someone new and giving it the old college try. Won't hurt, might help!
...and did what I thought was a fun little trivia contest to see who would win those spots. Only 4 people played, and so they all got a spot.
Just so you know, I would have played, except you were very firm in KNOWING that we were going and being there the WHOLE trip. I didn't know if I was going and I won't be there the whole time, so I couldn't play. Otherwise I would have done so!
Was it your picture a few pages back with the small tree with Blues Clues on the TV next to it? (first, sorry blues clues wasn't the terrific speech help for your guy as it was for DS) I was thinking "hey, I've never seen him wear a rolled collar sweater before", then shortly after DS wanted to watch BC, so I found one on On Demand, and boom, Steve in his rolled collar sweater.
Fairycat, congrats! Please blow some babydust my way. My friends have all been very respectful about things, but Sunday we had our first "doesn't Eamon need a brother or sister" comment, and I'm sure that was the first of many to come. I just said "yes, yes he does" instead of going into TMI-land, so anyway, please can you send some babydust (and please don't be a meanie like a person IRL that I said that to 2 years ago, she made me cry with her answer!)...it's free and make believe but I believe it works.

*********
It's so cold here! We have these lovely BIG windows overlooking the Port of Tacoma, but it's like 30 degrees and those lovely windows are single-paned and it's stinking cold.
And we have wood floors, and the floor near all those windows is actually over our neighbors balcony, so there's just no insulation and they are FREEZING. AND I noticed there's a breeze coming through the outlets on that wall! Yagh!
It will likely snow tomorrow, which means that hubby will be attempting to work from home, which will be interesting with Eamon, as Eamon loves Robert so so so so so much and is going to have a very hard time understanding why hubby can't play with him!
Wish us luck!
