Oh, Wendy, please don't buy anything special for lunch unless you just want to. :) In fact I'm not the fashion poice, and you can wear whatever you want. My only hard and fast rule of clothing is if they have the ears in stock, we are all getting them and at least getting a picture. Bonus points to anyone who will wear it around with me. I'll try to remember the bobby pins.

Are you telling me NOT to go shopping? I'm sorry, I don't understand those words together. :confused3 :rolleyes1

HeeHee, I'm a shopaholic also. I'm trying to be better though...:rolleyes1

You are right Wendy, you NEED to get new clothes. There is no way around it, you HAVE to go buy new clothes. We would NEVER be caught dead with you in old clothes. You MUST go shopping NOW, so that you have options by the time we leave. ;)

Did that enable you enough? I can go on...

Back in the day, when I was in HS, my mom thought she'd outsmart me by wrapping my presents immediately. What she failed to notice was that we still had the same wrapping paper in the house. One year, I had a gold herringbone necklace that I wore on two dates before Christmas even arrived. I just rewrapped it after wearing it.

Oh.My.Gosh. I can't even imagine!

:rotfl:

I SOOOO want those ears! I really want a pair and I will be so sad if they are out of them that day!

Much better! :thumbsup2 Except, I don't know if I should be offended or not...? :rotfl2: Seriously though, I hate being with myself with some of the clothes I wear, I can be SO embarrassing! Anyways, I'm gonna be like 50lbs lighter by the time March rolls around, so I'll really need new clothes...dare to dream. :lmao:

Yeah, me too! ;) :rotfl2:

Afternoon all. I had to run out and do my last bit of shopping. Got mom her gifts. She wanted a new can opener if you can believe that! So I got her a GOOD one. Martha Stewart no less. And a new pizza cutter cuz her's sucked! :) And I got her this really pretty spanish veggie dish. She is into spanish and mexican stuff. And then I ran to Eddie Bauer and got my dad a shirt and just HAD to get myself the cutest little reindeer sweater! WAY cute!

So now I am FINALLY done with all my Christmas shopping WHEW!!! Went to the post office and got LOTS of cards! YAY!! Thank you Linda, Audra, Beth and Stacielee!! Love all the cards! Thank goodness for you guys cuz my stupid family gets worse every year. I have a BIG family and I send at LEAST 40 cards (not even to half of them) and I have gotten like 3 cards back. It is so lame. And even my best friends don't send cards. SOOOO lame! I have a friend who lives RIGHT here in town that I have known since the 7th grade so like over 30 years and she is too dang lazy to send a card and she doesn't even work. I mean for years that was the ONLY way we even communicated. I don't know I don't get it. Even dh's own mother doesn't send one. She doesn't even send my kids birthday cards but don't get me started on HER! UGH! I will get off my soapbox now!

Anyway I also went to target and got the mummy and mamma mia so now I have more fun movies to watch tonight. Last night we watched Dark Knight and it was good but definitely "dark". I feel so bad about Heath Ledger. I still can't believe he is gone. He was SUCH a good actor. So sad.

I also went out to print the photopass pics for my mom and opened the case and NO disc. I freaked but then remembered it was in my computer here at home. OOPS!

Anyway I also got a call about my surgery and it seems it is at 2:30. UGH. That means NO food from Midnight on the 8th till 2:30 on the 9th. WHYYYYY do they insist on torturing me! I got MIGRAINES! People like me can't go without eating that long! UGH! They said I have to be at the hospital at noon, surgery at 2:30 then it should take about an hour and an hour for recovery and then I will pretty much be done the rest of the night. Problem is we have our huge cookie rally for Girl Scouts that night and that is a Friday which means Lynn has to work. Oh boy. THat is going to be one interesting day to say the least!

Anyway I am off to pick up the girls. See you gals LATA!

Whew. All caught up.

Hi girls--sorry I haven't been around too much lately--the DBF/Ex-DBF is now definitely the EX. He moved all of his stuff out tonight. I didn't think I would be that upset--after all it was me who decided that it was for the best, but after three years I guess you get used to having someone around, KWIM?

...severe migraines...stupid rib thing...my whole left side went numb.

I saw in a later post that you've seen a chiro, but I would highly recommend finding a different one, perhaps a better one, and going regularly. My hubby had migraines from the age of 3 until around 28, when I met him. Found him one night in a fetal position on the couch, and I insisted that he let me adjust him (retired chiro)...I practiced using Network Spinal Analysis, which is very gentle and a bit woo-woo seeming LOL, but after a year of regular care, he isn't a migraine-sufferer anymore.

As for the rib issue, it could easily be a rib head that is a tiny bit out of place, irritating the nerve endings. Now, when I practiced, I wouldn't have taken care of that, just didn't know how (my school was focused ONLY on vertebrae not "extremities"), so if you choose to find someone, ask if they'll check out your ribs and if they know how to manipulate them.

As for a side going numb, well, that whole combo just screams a very likely upper cervical vertebra (or more than one) being out of alignment, and the migraines tell me they've been "out" for a very long time.

Now we're all under care with an Atlas Orthogonal practitioner, which is just as gentle but they use a machine so it's not "woo woo" at all. She's terrific, and we're all a million times better in every way because of it.

So I would highly recommend finding someone new and giving it the old college try. Won't hurt, might help!

...and did what I thought was a fun little trivia contest to see who would win those spots. Only 4 people played, and so they all got a spot.

Just so you know, I would have played, except you were very firm in KNOWING that we were going and being there the WHOLE trip. I didn't know if I was going and I won't be there the whole time, so I couldn't play. Otherwise I would have done so!

Was it your picture a few pages back with the small tree with Blues Clues on the TV next to it? (first, sorry blues clues wasn't the terrific speech help for your guy as it was for DS) I was thinking "hey, I've never seen him wear a rolled collar sweater before", then shortly after DS wanted to watch BC, so I found one on On Demand, and boom, Steve in his rolled collar sweater. :)

Fairycat, congrats! Please blow some babydust my way. My friends have all been very respectful about things, but Sunday we had our first "doesn't Eamon need a brother or sister" comment, and I'm sure that was the first of many to come. I just said "yes, yes he does" instead of going into TMI-land, so anyway, please can you send some babydust (and please don't be a meanie like a person IRL that I said that to 2 years ago, she made me cry with her answer!)...it's free and make believe but I believe it works. :):upsidedow :flower3:

*********
It's so cold here! We have these lovely BIG windows overlooking the Port of Tacoma, but it's like 30 degrees and those lovely windows are single-paned and it's stinking cold.

And we have wood floors, and the floor near all those windows is actually over our neighbors balcony, so there's just no insulation and they are FREEZING. AND I noticed there's a breeze coming through the outlets on that wall! Yagh!

It will likely snow tomorrow, which means that hubby will be attempting to work from home, which will be interesting with Eamon, as Eamon loves Robert so so so so so much and is going to have a very hard time understanding why hubby can't play with him!

Wish us luck! :)

This is the picture of my dessert, it was almost a mousse, chocolatey and it was just so yummy! I loved that they made it Minnie Mouse by adding cherries for the bow :lovestruc

I thought I would add this too since it was so cute! It was my Birthday treat from the Japanese place at PP, we went there for dinner it was very good.

Hey, no worries! Lostgirlz wasn't around when I did that, so I was trying to give her the short story of why only a few of us are going. :) I was insistant, because I wanted to be sure that those going can actually use the prize. ;) I also wanted to limit it becuase if someone backs out at the last second, I will be responsible for paying their minimum since I don't want to stick the member getting us in with the bill. Those were my reasons, and I can see how that limited folks from playing. I also understand that not everyone likes trivia. All's good! :goodvibes

Yes, that was my picture! Nathan was watching the holiday Blue's Clues that was on earlier this week. He loves it BTW. He answers some of their questions by saying uh huh. It's cute, and I'm really glad you suggested it. They have some really great shows. The one where they were teaching about time was really cool. I would have never thought to teach it that way, and they made it make really good sense! :thumbsup2 I ordered Blue's First Holiday from Amazon, and I think Steve is wearing his sweater there also...It looks cute, it's the story of Blue as a baby and his first holiday.

Kelly-I'm a nurse on a surgical floor, but I didn't tell you this. We all know why they don't like you to eat right before surgery, but did you know that 8 hours is more than enough time to empty your stomach? If your surgery is that late...why not wake up early and have a light breakfast? I didn't tell you to do that, and I wouldn't tell them that you did that, but I'm sure people do it all the time. ;) Also, if your surgery was scheduled for 6am, they would have still told you 'no eating past midnight'. It's just one of those standard things that we say when in actuality, the time really can vary depending on the procedure and the time it's being performed. :thumbsup2

Disney inspired.. how old are your nieces? That's such a great gift.

I hope everyone stays warm and safe and dry on this cold winters day.

They're my cousins and they are ages 8 and 6. They like to call them surprise #1 and planned #2  My mom had my little sister when I was 12 and my Aunt had her oldest little one (if that makes any sense:confused3) when her kids were 10, 12, and 14. It's actually really fun because I got to hold a lot of babies growing up. I love babies.

My grandma has 11 grandkids, 5 who are 18 and older (we call ourselves the originals :lmao:) and 6 whose ages are 9, two who are 8, 7, 6, and 5. Oh and she has one great grandchild who will be 2 in May '09. Yeah when my family gets together (which thankfully is very often) including BFs & GFs, we are 22 people. Yet my grandma still loves to cram us into her small Lancaster house.

I love having a big family.

That's awesome news, Cristabel. Do they live close and will they carpool?

Good morning ladies! It's raining hard here in Phoenix, so I'm cuddled up in bed with my coffee and the laptop. Wonder how long I can stay here? :rolleyes1

Yes they live about 15-20 minutes closer to Disneyland than I do. My aunt will drive which totally rocks because as much I as I enjoy going to Disneyland, I HATE DRIVING THERE. Especially if I want to be there at opening because I have to leave two hours in advance because of the work traffic on the 5.

I was able to sleep until 11:45am before my mom yanked me out of bed to a FREEZING house.

Anyone here majorly computer savy? Is this true?

:scared1:

What do you all use?

Heather

I use the old Internet Explorer because this laptop is old and does not have enough memory for anything else but on the computer desktop downstairs I NEVER use IE, it just takes too long to load. I use Mozilla Firefox. Just go to Mozilla . com and download it. It's a great browser, I love being able to open new tabs in one window. Try it out. It's never caused me any problems.

I'm sure it is true, but honestly ALL browsers have security issues. I'm not saying not to switch, I just don't think it's necessary at this point to switch browsers. I know a lot of people use Firefox, but for me, personally, I can't stand it. I used Chrome for awhile, but was having trouble with that one, although I haven't tried it since it's come out of beta. Personally, I don't see any reason to switch. :confused3 If you don't feel safe though, then I would definitely encourage you to change your browser.
