Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Beth--is the Radisson the one near Knott's? If so, January just keep in mind you will need a car.

and Beth--could you start a list of ladies who are interested in staying on-site?

Off hand I know it's me, tinkermell and daisy77 (all "if the price is right")
Yeah, the one near Knotts. Definitely need a car, although they do have a Disney shuttle.

I think pretty much everyone was interested in staying onsite if the price is right. Even me, if it was cheap enough. LOL So I guess we just need to find out rates first. Did they tell your assistant when the rates would come out? Or how does that work?

On-site sounds good to me as well......I have to tell you, I'm a little freaked out about rooming with someone.......
Haven't done that for years.....my hubby says I snore :scared1:

I also have stomach issues as well........ thought I'd bring that up as well....since there seems to be a topic of "those types of things" on here today......
You're not the only one who snores! :rotfl:

So far for our room it looks like Stacie, Debra, Steph, me and ???? Whoever else wants to shack up with us
Wait, so in your room it's you, Stacie, Steph, Debra, Michelle, and AmySue? 6 people?? :rotfl2:

I also would love to stay on-site if the price is decent. I will have an AP. So please add me to the list of possible on-site! Thanks!:thumbsup2

That's a bummer about the chimi.....I can't eat anything without it being an issue......but I will say, I did pretty good these last 2 trips........ Maybe it's the Disney magic!!!

Well if snoring isn't a problem.....I'd be willing to try sharing a room..... maybe one other person???? Got a while to figure that one out........

The Disney Magic was not in that chimi. Just sayin.

That's why God invented Ambien. :thumbsup2

True dat.

See-you're going to fit in perfectly with all us other snorers with stomach issues!!!!

:rotfl:

Ethnic Beth, we're ethnic.

And yeah, if the price is right, we all would love to stay onsite.

Snoring is not bad - I talk in my sleep when I'm super tired... :guilty: :scared:

Then you can shack up with Cristabel. :rotfl:

Good morning everyone!

The only 'wildlife' I see most mornings are a couple of tomcats waiting for our female kitty to escape...she's fixed but they still like her so we don't let her out on purpose but she's a good escape artist.

We used to have a couple pesky Tom's in my neighborhood, but with the help of a Have-a-heart trap and a trip to my clinic, lets just say, the "package" was neutralized and now the boys are much more mellow. I wonder if the owners ever noticed!!

She just ate two bowls of Trix.

Now that would make ME sick!!!

First off--Sassy is adorable! I want a dog (Amy, shut your ears . . . )

I HEARD that!!!!

I'd like some feedback from people about the Scavenger Hunt....This isn't anything "official" from the team, just wanting to get a feel for some stuff myself as we're gonna brainstorm this weekend.....
First of all, a number of people mentioned having rides on the scavenger hunt...what ones would people like to see?
Should we keep it just to DL or would you like to see not just DL, but DCA and/or DtD, too?
Should it be about the same length (it was about 2.5 hours), shorter or longer?

Thanks for the feedback!

I think adding rides would be fine, but second the no line thing. I also think it should be limited to one park, unless you are going to make it at least 4 hours. Maybe my team was particularly slow, but we were hard pressed to do it all in 2.5 hours this year. I think making it a bit longer, like 3 would help. I loved the hunt, but don't think I want to spend the entire day on it...so don't make it more than 4 hours.

If it is a little longer time wise, we could grab some fastpasses while we zip around. This time, we didn't have time to pee!!!

Ok Stacie you and I have the same dirty mind cuz I thought the same thing :rotfl: I started crackin up when she said that!
I was right with you sisters!!!
I hope so too.

The roomie thing is out of control right now. :rotfl2: When you start cramming 5 and 6 ladies into a room, my head starts to spin. :upsidedow

There is NOTHING wrong with stuffing a room!!!

Thank you for adding the pictures! ;)

For newbies any suggestions on roomie selections? Since we really don't 'know' anyone yet...I guess we have awhile to decide so maybe as we get to know everyone we could then decide?

I'd recommend just jumping in with both feet. I didn't know my group of 4 before we met at a dinner the first day. Seriously, how much non sleeping time do you spend in the room? Of course, some people aren't on the massive tight budget I put myself on....so no need for a gang in your room. I think even if I wasn't trying to save money, I'd due the summer camp feel, it was fun!!

Well she came back this afternoon, except this time she had her baby with her.

Capri---I want to live at your house!!!!!

So far for our room it looks like Stacie, Debra, Steph, me and ???? Whoever else wants to shack up with us
Cristabel---excuse me--but whatever did I do to you? Why do you continually leave me off the list? I am going to start taking it personally!!!!

Hey, where did the rest of my quotes go??????

Bummer.

AmySue

Thank God!

And don't forget me. I was supposed to be in your room, too.

On the scavenger hunt -- just remember the goal isn't to finish--it's to WIN.

And for the ladies doing MA this weekend--most people don't finish--so start getting psychologically prepared for the fact that there is likely no way to finish the whole thing. Otherwise you'll drive yourself nuts. Ok?

Its all about the win baby. Its all about the win.

Cheryl, I'm so glad you said that. I've been sitting thinking, "I really don't want them to know how much of a lazy sass I am." If the hunt goes longer, I'm afraid I won't finish it. Just ask Tina. I've said it before, when I get hot and tired...look out. Again just ask Tina. The hunt was fun, but wore me out. I'm with Capri also in that having a nice, cool ride (Pirates?) to ride through half way would be heavenly. It would do alot for my stamina. Those are my thoughts on the hunt.

Good thoughts Heather! Good thoughts!

Sorry I can't reply too much ladies. I'm trying to pack and keep on the DIS at the same time. Not to mention, trying to make sure the house is somewhat in order. :rolleyes1

I want to stay on-site. I think Molly wanted to try for that too. I'll PM you about this weekend.

Not that I want to ditch my roomies, but if it's reasonable, as in pretty cheap, I would like to stay on-site, at least for part of the time. Cheryl, you knew I would!!

Its all about the win baby. Its all about the win.

Oh, don't I know it!!!

Actually Stacie, I would love to stay onsite if it was reasonable. Splitting it with you all is probably the only way I'm ever going to get to!

So, I'm confused about who all is going in October. I was wondering if there is a place on the front where we can keep track of who all is going, who's bringing family, and what not. I know we had discussed doing some meals together. Should we do organize it here, or perhaps another thread like the exchange?

I'm getting so excited about our trip next Feb with the planning that I keep forgetting that I have trip even before that! :woohoo:
