Morning ladies!

I hope you are all doing well today. If you have time, can you spare some thoughts and/or prayers for my Grandma. She's in Michigan and I just got word that she's in the hospital. She's having heart problems and loss of feeling in her legs. They don't know the exact cause and are running tests.

She's 80 years old so she's getting up there, but we are very close, in fact I went to live with her for a year when I was in 7th grade, and I'm just not ready to let her go yet, kwim?

The boys wanted chicken alfredo..it was yummy!!

Oh man so on Tuesday night I was helping the boys get their school supplies ready for school. I am searching everywhere for most of Kaelebs supplies.
They are MIA!!!!!!!
I knew that I put them on his top bunk with a few shirts that I bought him for school.
But they were GONE!!!
So after I am searching for nearly an hour everywhere in the house. Kaeleb is like what are you looking for mom? I am like your school supplies.
Well my darling and generous child has a friend who his parents are struggling right now, gave his friend his crayons, markers, pencils, pencil box, erasers, 4 notebooks, 4 PeeChee's, 2 rulers and Kleenex and an old backpack (thank goodness he didn't give him the new Fox one I just bought while I was in Vegas). So that he would have something to take to school on the first day.
So I spent yesterday seraching for said supplies @ Wal Mart, Walgreens & Rite Aid. Why did I teach the kids to share again...lol...
Oh well the friend needed them, I just wish he would of asked or told me sooner.
So its take 2 of school supplies....hopefully they will make it school.....

Heads up! Debbie Downer Post...

Sorry I've been neglecting you all. I hate to hit the boards up and ask for something personal but I need major prayers and pixie dust. My boyfriend is now unsure about our relationship. We were so happy and talking about marriage then we both went home for break and he is now interested in a woman whom he served a restraining order just two weeks ago. The words that flew out of his mouth about here were rather colorful. He went back to California last night and while he was on the plane, his mom and I started texting about what had just taken place. He even told me that she's moving to California in two weeks. This is after he and I had plans to move in together and I already gave my notice where I live now.

He took me home, Oregon/Vancouver, just two weeks ago to meet his daughter and family. I am just dumbfounded. His mom is worried sick because this other girl has threatened he and his daughter multiple times. His parents adore me and even he admits that he's happier with me than he has been in his whole life. His mom said that when she asked, he told her that the best things about me are my smile and how I believe in him. I spoke with Derek on the phone last night and he says that I deserve so much better than him. I'm sure that's true but I don't want anyone else. You might be wondering why I even want to bother with him. All I have to say is that I'm madly in love with him and I'm confident that he's doing this because he's scared to death. She isn't his new girlfriend or anything but I am terrified of what she'll do to him if she ends up moving here.

We were perfectly in love and happy until break so I'm hoping that when he sees me he'll snap out of it. He even called me sobbing from Oregon saying how much he missed me. UGGGGG! When we talked last night he was so sweet but said he couldn't make any promises. He did say that when he sees me when he picks me up from the airport that he wants to see a big smile on my face because there will be big arms to wrap around me. Such drama.

I know I've said some horrible things in this post, but trust me, he's so worth the fight. Our plans for today are to work on our prep week assignment for class (yes we have class on Labor Day.. how lame) and then go back to his apartment and clean and then just sit around and say nothing at all.

Now if I could just get through the two flights. Hopefully there will be a reward when I get back to Cali.

Thanks girls! It was very nice of him...just wanted him let me know sooner.
But he is such a giving kid, he would give you the shirt off his back, well unless it was his most favorite one, but then he would think about it!

I just bought my plane ticket for february!!! I thought I would just check on southwest for the heck of it and it was 54 bucks each way which is pretty darn cheap. I seriously doubt it will get any cheaper and since it could get MORE expensive if I waited I decided to bite the bullet and just go for it! I know I still have to buy Shane and the girls' passes for Oct but hey that's what credit cards are for right? LOL. It seems like EVERY time I see a deal like that and I say oh I will wait the price goes up so I just did it!

We are going to arrive at 1:45 on that Thur so if anyone else is coming in to OC airport around that time and wants to share a cab like last time mom and I are up for it (hint hint Deb, Capri or anyone else who might be interested?)

And we are going to book the DLH in the next day or so too so that will be two things down so then we can REALLY get serious about the trip! YAY!! Now it is getting WAY more real! WOO HOO!!!!!

I need to see what time my flight gets in. Ok so I still need to book my flight, but right now that flights are $190 so I am not booking yet.
I would be up for sharing a cab. Unless I get a cheaper deal for Wednesday night.

Hi Mel!! Good to see you! I am sorry about your in-laws having to be evacuated. I hope their home is ok!! That is my second worst fear next to losing one of my kids is losing my home to a fire! Prayers to them!

Yay it is Friday and even better the start to a 3 day weekend! Yahoo! Doesn't look like I will be going anywhere tonight but that is ok. I will be getting started on my relaxation! I am going to send Lynn with Shelby to the birthday and Shane, Katy and I will just stay home and relax. I rented a few movies yesterday so we will just hang and watch those. So far we watched Disney's Earth which was amazing and the soloist which was also good!

I also rented I love you man and Obsessed. So I will be watching those today I guess.

Anyway not much else planned except HOPEFULLY seeing HP sometime this weekend and NOW mom is thinking we may try and see J&J on Monday if she gets back from Truckee so who knows. I am not getting my hopes up. We will just have to see.

Anyone else have any fun plans? I know those going to DL will be having fun!!

I am actually looking forward to next week because finally we don't have something every flippin day! We still have soccer on Tue and Thur and now we have to go to Shelby's back to school on Wed BUT at least for now we have nothing on Mon or Fri like we did this week. We do have our first soccer game though next Saturday and then it starts. EVERY Sat from then on until Nov! We only get 1 sat off.

I am also looking very forward to my Great Uncle's 90th birthday. It will be Sept 26th. For his 80th they had a BIG party and people came from all over the US and world. He is a great man and VERY popular. He used to work for the federal govt and was in WWII so he has a LOT of friends and of course we have a lot of relatives all over that came. So this will be that part 2! We have relatives coming from as far away as Hong Kong and Alaska as well as the East Coast. So it is almost going to be like a family reunion.

Plus one of my good friends who is also a friend of the family, who lives in Pittsburgh, may be coming as well and staying with us. So I am pretty excited. It is going to be a big 3 day affair. My friend Dorene will probably arrive on that Thur and then everyone else will come in on Fri and they will most likely have some get together that night and then the party is Sat and then on Sunday we will probably do something as well before everyone leaves and then my friend is going to leave Monday. So I am REALLY excited about that!

Anyway that's bout it for me. Gotta run the kiddos to school.

My Mom called me right now and she just got laid off from her job. She’s been working there 10 years. They told her it was for cost reduction, but she knows it’s because of her new supervisor. Well anyways, I guess it doesn’t matter why. She’s been looking and applying for new jobs for several months, but still has had no luck. Hopefully now she will. Please keep us in your prayers. Things have just been piling up on top of each other for us. Just please send us some thoughts, prayers and pixie dust. My parents and I really need it.

Things are crazy but good around here. The hospital screwed up my paycheck, and I'm about $1200 short. I'll get it in 2 weeks they say. I think it takes an act of congress to get them to cut a check any sooner. The manager of payroll is going to call me back. *sigh* So it will be penny pinching for us these next two weeks.

Happy Friday to everyone! I have been looking forward to the weekend since Monday so it's been a long week! Mr. CA and I are going to our last Hollywood Bowl concert tonight. I've enjoyed going so much and I am going to miss it but the good thing is that there is always next year!

WHEW! I just spent the ENTIRE morning working on the girls Girl Scout vests! 3 of them to be exact! Our leader doesn't hand out their try-its or fun badges as they earn them but only twice a year. Once at our Christmas party for the first half of the year and then the rest at the end of the year party and we do a LOT as a troop so we always have TONS. Plus Katy bridged to a junoir this year and USUALLY my leader does the vests for us and we have this big ceremony but this year she just handed them to us in a plastic bag and I had to put the whole thing together myself. UGH!

I spent about 4 hours ironing stuff on and pinning. WHEW! I have been dreading it and putting it off since I got the stuff in May LOL. But it is DONE!!!! I probably ironed on 40 Try-its plus the stuff on Katy's new vest plus put all the pins and stuff on her new one then since her Brownie vest was full I scrapbook all the badges that are leftover so I even did that but I feel so proud of myself for getting SO much accomplished. WHEW!!!!

I haven't even eaten anything and I am ravenous. I almost hate to eat now cuz it is so late but I am going to HAVE to cuz it is still a ways till dinner.

Anyway I wanted to say to Courtney I am SO very sorry to hear this about your mom. I know how much you all have been struggling and I will keep you all in my prayers and many many big ((hugs)) to you guys!!!!

And Thanks Sara! I am so excited to! That is one less thing to do and we are going to book the DLH sometime next week. Not only will we have our room but I am REALLY excited to be staying onsite this time!! WOO HOO!!


Heather that really stinks about your pay! BELIEVE me I feel your pain. We got our judgment for child support and got all of 2 WEEKLY checks. Not even a full month and then of course it stopped. And then on top of it Shane's boss cut his pay AGAIN. He has now been cut over 10/hr on his pay. But I just keep telling myself at least he is working but still it is rough trying to budget when you are used to much more than that! I hope they get it to you soon!

Vicki have fun at your concert! I have always wanted to go to one there. That looks like such a neat place for a concert! ENJOY!!!

Prayers for your family! I understand what you're going through! My DH got laid off after 10 years back in June. He had 3 interviews over the past 2 weeks and found out yesterday that he didn't get any of them! One of them we were so sure he would get so it was a real blow to his confidence. Hugs to all of you out there going through similar trials.

Princess Sarah, How are the fires by you now? My BIL and SIL were evacuated a couple of days ago. They live in Yucaipa right next the hills. Fortunately the firefighters were able to stop its path with a fire break. Oh, and this fire was started by a couple of kids. Do ya think they are in big time trouble???

The air is alot better today. I can actually see blue sky. We only have a swamp cooler so it really brought all the smoke in the house the last few days but it was too hot not to run it. We bought an air purifier from WalMart and that helped alot but every thing smells like smoke now, the couches, the clothes in the closet...everything.

Anyone have any handy dandy hints on smoke removal?
