Jen, I would so be there but will be at a film festival. I had my first day out yesterday and will venture out briefly today. I'm much better. You guys have a wonderful drink to your Big Swiss Adventure!

I hope you are all doing well today. If you have time, can you spare some thoughts and/or prayers for my Grandma. She's in Michigan and I just got word that she's in the hospital. She's having heart problems and loss of feeling in her legs. They don't know the exact cause and are running tests.

The boys wanted chicken alfredo..it was yummy!!

Oh man so on Tuesday night I was helping the boys get their school supplies ready for school. I am searching everywhere for most of Kaelebs supplies.
They are MIA!!!!!!!
I knew that I put them on his top bunk with a few shirts that I bought him for school.
But they were GONE!!!
So after I am searching for nearly an hour everywhere in the house. Kaeleb is like what are you looking for mom? I am like your school supplies.
Well my darling and generous child has a friend who his parents are struggling right now, gave his friend his crayons, markers, pencils, pencil box, erasers, 4 notebooks, 4 PeeChee's, 2 rulers and Kleenex and an old backpack (thank goodness he didn't give him the new Fox one I just bought while I was in Vegas). So that he would have something to take to school on the first day.
So I spent yesterday seraching for said supplies @ Wal Mart, Walgreens & Rite Aid. Why did I teach the kids to share again...lol...
Oh well the friend needed them, I just wish he would of asked or told me sooner.
So its take 2 of school supplies....hopefully they will make it school.....

Just checking in!
I woke up late (love it!) and ate lunch. I've started my homework and boy do I have a lot of reading to get through. My roomie Beth told me to get out of the apt because I'm here too long On TTH I have no classes so I don't head to campus. I usually spend most of my time doing homework, cleaning the apt, cooking and sometimes grocery/apt shopping. Today I plan on baking something, maybe a banana bread or lemon cake YUM!

But first I have to get through my reading for accounting homework or I'll never understand that!I also have econ reading and homework. I do have to read for music but I really enjoy that class so it doesn't feel like homework. Have a great day ladies and I'll see you later.

Afternoon gals!

First off Beth many prayers for your grandma and you! My grandma on my mom's side was my BEST friend ever. We were closer than anyone. I spent many many days at her home and probably knew her better than my own mom did. We spoke on the phone nearly every day up until she passed and even though she lived to be 95 it broke my heart when she went. I still miss her and she has been gone 10 years! I TOTALLY understand how you feel and I will be praying for you all! ((hugs))

Deb that is so sweet what your son did but I know what you mean. I would probably want to kill one of my kids for doing something like that esp right now when money is so tight but you gotta be proud of him for being so selfless. That really was a great kind thing he did!! Proud mom moment!!

No Donna I didn't hear about the Tush cushion LOL. Sounds like a good thing but I am getting by. I think every day hopefully now it will get a little better.

So I made it through my first day back at work with a little help from my friends Darvocet and Diazepam (Valium) LOL. It wasn't even too crazy. Mom actually kept things pretty good while I was gone although I wasn't gone TOO long but I had been gone that whole week on vacation and had BARELY been back when I left again for 2 weeks for this surgery but luckily it wasn't too messed up. Then we went to Red Lobster for lunch and I had shrimp scampi. Def not on the diet but it was YUM!!!

She is still SET on wanting to stay on property in Feb so we called to see what if any AP rates there might be at that time since they aren't on the web. Well the DL hotel has a somewhat decent rate although it is way more than "I" would want to pay but she is BOUND and determined that she wants to stay there so it looks like we are going to be staying there this time around. We didn't get around to making the ressie today but we will probably do it in the next day or so. I am actually excited cuz I haven't stay onsite since 05. This way we can get some magic mornings.

Anyway we also aren't going to be seeing Julia and Julia tonight because the times at all the theaters near us were WAY too close to the pic times so we MAY go tomorrow night instead. I am prob going to send Lynn with Shelby to the birthday party and she can hang out with a friend and eat pizza and bs with her buddies and just watch Shelby from afar. That way she gets out of the house and I don't have to do it LOL.

Then if my mom doesn't have to go to Truckee we will take Katy to see the movie. Otherwise I am just going to stay home with Shane and relax!

Still hoping to see HP sometime this weekend as well!

Anyway that's bout it for me.

I just bought my plane ticket for february!!! I thought I would just check on southwest for the heck of it and it was 54 bucks each way which is pretty darn cheap. I seriously doubt it will get any cheaper and since it could get MORE expensive if I waited I decided to bite the bullet and just go for it! I know I still have to buy Shane and the girls' passes for Oct but hey that's what credit cards are for right? LOL. It seems like EVERY time I see a deal like that and I say oh I will wait the price goes up so I just did it!

We are going to arrive at 1:45 on that Thur so if anyone else is coming in to OC airport around that time and wants to share a cab like last time mom and I are up for it (hint hint Deb, Capri or anyone else who might be interested?)

And we are going to book the DLH in the next day or so too so that will be two things down so then we can REALLY get serious about the trip! YAY!! Now it is getting WAY more real! WOO HOO!!!!!

Princess Sarah, How are the fires by you now? My BIL and SIL were evacuated a couple of days ago. They live in Yucaipa right next the hills. Fortunately the firefighters were able to stop its path with a fire break. Oh, and this fire was started by a couple of kids. Do ya think they are in big time trouble???

I checked it out. Pretty cool!! Makes me want to reserve those seats again for Fantasmic, but I think on this trip, I want to spend the money on some other things. There will always be another time.
