It's so weird.. everytime i try to log into facebook it shuts my computer down.. like some kind of virus So i haven't been on for along time.. maybe i will try to make a new account and see if it's just a bug or something.

Beth and Theresa.. what concert are you all going to?

Kelly and Debbielouwho... that's great you both got to see the concert.. just in different cities.

Stacie..did they give you anything to help with the pain? Bob just bought one of those inversion things to help with his back. He also does certain exercises to strengthen it. I just hate to think of you in pain.

I don't think you will run in to the fire. The red area is what is on fire. I live a few miles north-east of the flag. The yellow line is what has been evacuated.

Whoa, you are close to the northern fire line! You must be getting tons of smoke. Stay safe.

Lots of articles in the paper how the tv news did not follow the fire in the first few days.

Ok, so I went to the doc to have my back check. Still not sure what is wrong with it. He thinks I may have strained it. He is sending me out for xrays this week too. He did give me some muscle relaxers, which I can't take till I am ready to stay home or sleep. And I am supposed to be "self limiting" meaning, I should do anything that could aggravate my injury. UGH! James and I are supposed to go to a wedding on saturday and no heels for me, and probably no dancing either. Im bummed. But I want my back/hip/leg to be better. Im sick of walking like an arthritic grandma.

I'm so sorry to hear you're still in pain. I've had back probs ever since a five car pileup on the 5 when I was 20. I used to have what you're having several times a year. Did he also tell you that sitting is not advised? Take care.

Well I'm off to cook for my mean lady tomorrow morning. Luckily, shegave me her menu on Monday, like I told her I needed her to do, so I'm all set. Now the big question is, will she acknowledge me while I'm in her house?

She really sounds like someone who you're better off ignoring. What a shame she doesn't know how to think of other's feelings.

Lindalu~ Have a great cruise! Labor day wasn't so bad in WDW in '06. Actually was crowded but not to bad. There is a Southern church group or something like that. Have a great time!!

Today is the first day of school. It is the first time ever that I will take the boys to school and come home and do nothing........I don't have to work today. Strange.......

I am trying to figure out a nice and fun dinner for the boys tonight.

Thanks Courtney...it's just smoky but I am beginning to feel signs of it in my breathing. This morning I sounded like I was "purring" until I did my inhaler...a very funny sound. Mr. CA said "I finally made you purrr"!

I have not read any of the Harry Potter books (have seen all of the movies except for this latest one, Cristabel would have loved to have joined you if I lived closer!) but I have collected some of them at the Friends of the Library bookstore (used) I need one and two, I have three and four. I may have to check out one to get started. I just finished #2 of the Peter and the Starcatcher series...I had not planned on reading that series but to get Bob's DS to read for AR I challenged him to a reading contest, best 2 out of 3 wins. He beat me on #1 and I beat him on #2 so we'll see who wins #3! But I am reading another book now called the Doomsday Key (kind of Da Vinci codeish) until he catches up and finished #2. Ok...my bookwormish Belle self has gone on long enough about books!

I just watched alot of them! And everytime, I got goosebumps when Murphy came out! It's SO cool how everyone cheered as soon as the eyes turned on!! Can't wait for October even more!!!

And before you roll your eyes at me taking yet another cruise/vacation, bear in mind I got this cruise for free when I bought DVC and the Bay Lake Towers is a DVC resort so it is free, too. We are really looking forward to Pirates Night on the cruise, visiting Castaway Cay and going to California Grill for dinner and Chef Mickey's for breakfast. I made ADR's 90 days out. While some of the Divas will be at DL for Labor Day, we will be in the Magic Kingdom - hopefully not fighting too big of a crowd. Have a good rest of the week and I'll try to check in on "Little Lulu" - my mini pink laptop that Santa brought me. I will miss you all!

I am sooooo jealous! I hope you have an absolutely stupendous time and I want to hear all about all of it when you get back! I have almost half of what I need saved up for the 4 day cruise and 5 day WDW trip we are taking in 2 years!

Cristabel....I'd be happy to pick you up for the mini meet in sept, but isn't it on Sat, not Friday? I have it down as the 19th.

It is most deffinitely on SATURDAY the 19th!!!!

So far that is all you need...it's only the US that is starting to require stricter docs from foreigners.

The map makes it look alot closer than it is because it's actually coming up the back side of the mountain but it still is very close. There are so many firefighters just waiting for it to come over the mountian top. It wasn't too smokey when I left for work this morning.

Yes. It is actually currently cheaper than just out of seatac but that is not always the case. It looks like my fare would be 260 after all taxes. Out of Seatac a good fare would be 200 or lower where the average fare is around 250. I really hope you can come!

Cristabel, my Mom heard on the news this morning that the fires are moving towards Santa Clarita. I hope your family is okay!

I didn't know that! I called her while I was at the bookstore but she was busy and said she'd call me back later.

We have had multiple fires in our valley and some VERY close to our house in the past. Our street is on a hill with a culdesac. One year the fire jumped the 14 freeway and started burning the hills behind the culdesac. The houses in the culdesac are 5-6 houses up from us. We were leaving to San Francisco so my dad ran inside and grabbed all of our important papers (insurance and house papers). Luckily it never burned any of the homes on our street.


The fire (red, obviously ) jumped over the 14 freeway and started burning the hills. The green dots are other houses and the blue one is my house. Pretty scary! But I have faith that God will protect them (and the firefighters always do an amazing job).

Love ya'll. My computer is going to die soon and I forgot to bring my power cord to school.

It's great to listen to the books on CD. The narrator, Jim Dale, is great! I love all of the HP books.
