Morning all. Man you guys were busy yesterday sheesh!

First of all getting back to Molly I wanted to say that Katy was sick for a few days, missed one day of school with a fever and cough but got over it fairly quickly.

Shelby didn't miss any school because the worst of hers hit over the weekend luckily but her cough is still hanging around almost a week later but I have to admit I think part of it is her being a drama queen because she likes the attention . She tends to not cough at all until someone is paying attention .

But anyway I sure hope you start feeling better soon cuz I know how much it stinks to be sick for a long time. I know I am prone to bronchitis and that can last for WEEKS! And as far as the colonoscopy I have had both that AND a barium enema and I never had to do the prep for those. Just this surgery. This was more like actual surgery where I was in a hospital and an actual OR versus a radiological center or whatever. For both my colonoscopy and my BE I was at a center where I walked in on my own and I was awake for both of those procedures. I had to do the prep the day before etc but I was on my own and the person who went with me had to wait out in the waiting room.

For THIS surgery I was in an actual hospital and Shane was able to go back in to the surgical waiting area with me and help me out and sit with me till they took me in for the surgery itself and then he had to go out to the waiting room and then he was able to join me in recovery after I woke up.

I think the other gals are accuate in that I don't think your hubby will have to deal with anything. I think he is safe .

Man I knew we were going to need a new thread!

WE are one chatty group. Well today I am going to start in on my workout so hopefully I can keep it up till the trip and beyond and then I am also back to work today so hopefully it isn't a nightmare. I have only been back one day since the first part of January so I am hoping it is not too crazed there.

The office manager is going on vacation this Friday through the all of next week and doesn't come back till the 24th so hopefully it isn't going to be too nutso! I also am meeting my new psychologist on Wed so I am anxious to meet with her and hope she is good and helpful. Still not sure if Shane and I are going to be able to go out this weekend for our anniversary. I just have to see what are finances look like after he gets his paycheck and after I pay bills etc. And it is also still up in the air if we are going to go to Truckee or try to go to SF next Monday or what but when I took the girls to the mall yesterday I saw a few good movies at the dollar movies so I may at least try to take them there one day next week. They get the whole week off for President's week.

This time last year we went to San Diego. It was really fun. I hadn't been to the Zoo and Sea World in Years! We took Lynn for her 16th birthday and then we also visited with some relatives and then drove up to DL for a few days. It was a LOT of fun!

Oh and I forgot to mention I got Shelby's cake all ordered for her birthday trip and we were able to get the Tink figurine. It wasn't listed on the vacation planning site but that is her FAV character so I was really happy. ANd I got the Goofy's Kitchen ressie all made so now today I need to call for our WCT ressie for the 9th and I will have all my ADRS for THAT trip done!

So that's about it for my day.

Oh you are so kind to say that. They are just fun to make. I couldn't find the hoodie that i wanted..yet i had these old t shirts that i had either outgrown or gotten a stain on and thought.. why can't i make the one i want. i already have the theme, just looking through my drawer. Why not recycle and reconstruct. I made one for each of my grandchildren on our christmas trip. They are easy peasy, just remember to use a contrasting yarn when stitching, so it gives a contrast.

We're pretty sure that this was the last year to protect the tree. Although our dog is coming home next Friday so the tree may be protected again this year, just depends on our puppy.

I'm headed out of town for a few days for work. Did I mention I hate conferences..... Anyway I'll have my laptop with me and check in when I can.

Just got off the phone with DL express so I got mom and I's ride all booked for the 8th. So we are all set. Have to be at the bus stop in front of Hojo by 5:40 to get to airport by 6:30. That works. That gives us till probably 5 at the parks on Sunday so that's good I think! We will probably be all packed up that a.m. and have our bags stowed at the hotel anyway so we might even be able to stop by the cove bar before we head out to meet the bus

I am sitting at work right now but we are headed out to look for our totes right now! Wish us luck!

I got a tote last time I was at DL--went to the Character Warehouse yesterday, but didn't see anything I liked better so that is done. Now I just have to figure out what to stuff inside it to even out the cost! Hope whoever gets it will like it--I'm going with it "as-is"--just not feeling creative!

Boy, did I fall behind! I get busy for a few days, I come back to check in, and I'm choking on the dust y'all left over at the old thread.

I won't bore you with my weekend details, but I did go see "He's Just Not That Into You" last night, and I thought it was a really cute movie.

This morning I had an IEP meeting (for Ryan, my nine year old) at the school, and it went really well. Ryan has a great team of teachers and specialists working with him this year, and I'm really pleased with their efforts to help him, and well as their openness to try new things too. They're a cool group.

I'll be on and off all day, so chat away. No more choking on dust for me today.

I must be starting to feel better, since I can get onto the computer in the daytime. It's just me and fevery-E (and that kid has always known how to rock a fever) while Robert cares for his mom...she got demerol today, so lucky. Though not really lucky, as her BP tanked, they had to give her more stuff to raise it, and it took them a LONG time to wake her up, even had to call him in to talk to her to get her to wake up, poor dude. Too bad that happened, b/c demerol is yummy IMO. It's the only drug of that type that actually works for me, though MDs look at you funny when you request it.

I can't believe how far into the new thread you've gotten, I'm still finishing the old one.

Capri ~ So what did you come up with for a team name?? January suggested Team Rooty Tooty Fresh and Frooty. I said I'm staying out of this one.





I've been playing travel agent all morning for my mom. She's going to L.A. for a wedding in mid March. My aunt is getting married. She's in her 70's and lost her husband about a year ago. Anyway, she met this guy who had lost his wife and they just started talking and spending time together and now they are getting married! Guess you are never too old to find love.
