was last night - went and saw The Magic Flute - before the show they had workshops for the girls in dance, makeup, singing, back stage work, and costumes - interesting evening for all -

At the end of the evening they received a patch for the back of their vests and earned their Theatre patch -

The girls seemed to enjoy it - there was a fire breathing dragon - the evil queen, the prince who was to save the kidnapped princess - the 3 hand maids who wanted the prince - a bird man looking for a little dove to love - and of course the magic flute - which the prince had to play to find the path to truth and justice (and to save the princess) and to help defeat the evil queen and the kidnapper.

Marla,
That sounds like a wonderful evening! I would have loved to have gone!!

What fun. Back in the olden days when I was a girl scout I don't remember there even being an "Theatre" patch.

That sounds great!!! In March my girls are hoping to do something like this with our local symphony. They do a workshop with the girls to earn a try it and then get to see the performance and get a fun patch. Glad to hear yours went so well!

one that you are kept going and good......or one that makes you wish you had ear plugs and a snooze pillow
