To get back on track, I've watched enough episodes of A Haunting that now I understand why y'all say the drama is a bit much sometimes. I like the stories though.

MMMM I like the avitar too! I wanted cake so bad tonight that I made myself cook and serve no sugar pudding. Then I ate it hot ....it is all Ward's fault for getting me going on this whoppie pie tangent.

A 5lb Whoopie Cake would be FUN!!!! Oreo now makes a cake- they copy off the Whoopie pie!

I love the Mansions- they are so beautiful! I need to get my butt back there- not for the Whoopie Pies though
DH and I did the Mansions a few years back, we stayed at a B&B (can't remember the name, but I remember it being near a small bridge ) I have some pics (pre-digital day)- I should pull them out and look to see if I have a pic showing the name.

I can't believe the money they had back then! I would have loved to be part of all that!

Beechwood is supposed to be haunted. I swear when I went to Chateau Sur Mer I felt like I was there before. It had to do with the set up of the stairs and looking down from the third floor and seeing the first. I had tons of dreams where I had a room way up in the eaves and I used to look down to the first floor where there was some sort of party going on . Lots of dark oak wood too. I know I mentioned this before but because this is the GH thread I figured I would weave this in so we can be on track. Whoopie!

Susie Q is a wanna be and no where NEAR a Steves Whoppie PIE. It is like comparing Wal-Mart to Nordstroms.

I thought that was what they said but then I figured I just heard it wrong but jeesh Rob should have had it right ...he is the investigator.

I imagine that everyone makes mistakes like that but editing should catch it!!! That made me wonder about the behind the scenes team responsible for GHI. That seems just plain sloppy.

Confession time - Rob scares me more than the ghosts do...sometimes he just has this really toooo intense look in his eyes.

They have done it before, I know Steve has done it. Don't remember if they have ever gotten results from doing it though.

Still not impressed with GHI. DS11 complains that they call just about every place haunted. He says that Jason would never agree.

It takes a lot to get Jason to say a place is haunted. I don't think anything we've seen on these shows would make him say it.

Just watched last nights episode of GHI. It was OK. I snorted a little when Rob, Andy and Dustin were using the thermal cam near the stairs and Rob said that this is where a little boy has been seen running up and down. Hello! It was a little girl!

I thought I heard wrong too. Glad to know I was right and he was wrong.

It is so stupid and I did not ask for the tag but that tag fairy felt like she was doing me a favor...not!

I had written a thread about the huge(10 oz) Whoppie Pies that we can get in the NE. The brand is Steve's although they also sell a competitor Wicked Whoppies. I had mentioned in my thread that if I ate anymore of them I could just apply them directly to my hips....thus Whoppie Pie Pockets. It must have been a slow day because as I remember it was an early morning post during a snow storm I think TF must have been bored because it was not all that funny!

TF can have a strange sense of humor. I have a weird food tag too based on a comment I made.

Well at least they stayed with the WDW theme.

I personally don't believe in crop circles. I think they are all fun hoaxes, especially since they all seem to be smashed down in a pattern and there area always connecting lines to the other circles.

Shadow People
what are they, who are they, where are they, have you seen one, do you think they just live on another dimension parallel to us?

Bella, I've been seeing Shadow People since I was around 18. The first time I saw "Him" was at a diner with my friends. "He" followed me around for a few days and I just got used to it, then he left. I saw other shadow people off and on over the years.
Funny thing, but that's exactly what I called them even before I knew anything about them. And if I were with someone I would say, wow, I just saw another shadow person, like it was normal.
When I first moved into my home where I am presently living, there was a Shadow Person in my hallway. I've seen him day and night, light and dark, didn't matter, it was the same shadow in different spots up and down my hallway. We've been here 16 years and even though I haven't seen him/her lately, they still make their presence known. Don't ask me why the hallway, I don't know.
Everyone in this house and even visitors have "heard" our ghost in the hallway. I could go on and on with stories.
But back to the Shadow People. When I told my father a few years ago about the Shadow People, he said, oh, yeah, I see them too.
They are not all the same. The first Shadow Man I saw was Huge - he was about 6 and a half feet tall and very broad in the shoulders. Even though I couldn't "see" his eyes, I did see them. I saw an all black figure and white eyes with pupils. The one that's in this house is small, about five foot.
Funny thing is, this house was built by a small Italian guy. I didn't know him but I say small because the ceilings are not that high and the doorways are low, too and I know he was the builder of this house.

Another dimension? maybe. I do know that they are not residual spirits because every time I see one, I get a feeling first, like they are in the here and now. Even the hallway ghost is "intelligent" My husband "challenged" it one day and it scared the crapola out of him.

But I don't think Shadow People are ghosts....that's just the feeling I get.

I'm editing because I've just read the wikipedia entry concerning shadow people.
#1, I "know" they're there before I see it. I'll "know", I turn my head or look up or down or sideways whatever, in response to my feeling and then I'll see it.
#2 I've seen this one particular shadow person in my hallway at all times of the day, with all types of lighting, but always the same short figure.
#3 as far as my hallway is concerned, there is no great electromagnetic field. I have an EMF detector and believe me, I've swept this whole house. In fact, I have the EMF detector sitting atop a picture frame in the hallway. Whenever I hear the ghost, I turn it on. A few weeks ago while studying for a test I heard him in the hallway. I was home alone and I heard him so I turned the EMF on. I went back to the kitchen table to study. I was so engrossed in studying I could barely notice the gentle beeping coming from the hallway. My thought was that it was on the wrong frequency, and I got mad at myself for not putting it on the right frequency, but I had a lot of studying to do so I just left it. it stopped beeping. When I was finished studying I was walking down the hallway to go to bed and I checked the EMF.....to my surprise, it was on the Correct Setting for Ghost Hunting! I was so mad at myself that I didn't acknowledge the beep and check it out!

I am happy to announce I have NEVER seen a shadow person.

You know I think I have. I remember one time distinctly that I was folding clothes and to the right of me was my sons room. OUt of the corner of my eye I saw my "son" walk into his room. There are no other exits and the only way he could get by me was to come OUT of his room. I noticed he was awfully quiet so I went in his room and there was no one there. I live in big Victorian and he was on the first floor no where near me. Then once in was in the kitchen and looked into the hall and saw what I thought was a shadow person walk into the living room. I say that now but at the time I just saw a dark shape. I wanted to chalk it up to my imagination.

And of course...DH JUST left for a business trip...is it me or is there a pattern. Really scary story ....husband goes away . (this means roll on the floor with frightented laughter).
