I know the Ghost Adventures guys are having a Halloween live show. I'm not surprised the Ghost Hunters aren't after last year.

I'm a bit surprised, but I guess after last years they felt they needed to step away from it this year.

Sure, now they won't have a Halloween episode because it's on a Saturday. My daughter and I always wish we could catch this special, but since Halloween has been during the week (except for last year), we can't stay up all night because we have work/school. This year it's a Saturday, we could sleep in, and now no Halloween special.

I watched Destination Truth last night and thought the episode at Kiev was fascinating just seeing how the town was left so suddenly and the scope of the impact of that accident at Chernoble....makes one definately pause and think about any future nuclear incidents.

I've really been enjoying Destination Truth this year, even the bit about the dog or whatever was intense. The Chernobyl part was incredibly creepy. How in the world does Josh get into these places?

So......I'm watching an old episode filmed at The Ledge Lighthouse and lo and behold, I watch "Most Haunted" in America and they too do The Ledge. Jay and Grant and company pretty much say it isn't haunted and the folks from Most Haunted have *tons* of activity. Who do you believe?????

I seriously cannot stand that "psychic artist Brian Shepard" on MH......he is so fake to me and it is obvious that he and Kieran don't get on well. lol I think he is just such a poser/wannabe........ It was so funny that they start by saying there is no evidence of anyone named John Randolph ever being at the lighthouse and it is a name a psychic came up with and he just happens to come up with the same name..... I think they feed him info.

From what I hear Most Haunted has pretty much been proven fake. I remember hearing that Yvette has been caught throwing stones. It's a shame because they do visit some great places.

Besides I miss Derek. He was hysterically funny.

I used to watch Most Haunted before I found out about Ghost Hunters. The possession thing that used to happen all the time was annoying and not believable...I no longer watch that show because I truly think they make stuff up. Not that I don't think Ghost Hunters doesn't make stuff up too for ratings but at least it's a bit more believable. Now the other Ghost show I think is Ghost Adventures, I think Zach goes way overboard with his angry tough talk but he is cute to watch. I am getting hooked on Destination Truth though they go to some really interesting places to investigate.

NEW SHOW ALERT!!!

I caught the tail-end of a show on Discovery Channel called Ghost Lab. The first episode was last night. They were investigating Myrtles Plantation and while some of the graphics I caught were a bit on the dramatic side, it did pique my interest. I haven't seen more than a few minutes of it, but recorded it overnight.

Did anyone catch Celebrity Ghost Stories on Saturday? I think it was on Bio. Pretty cool. I was surprised at the Joan Rivers story, that she feels comforted being woken up at 3:00 am every night by Mrs. Spencer, and talks about it like it's no big deal!

I did catch the new celebrity ghost story show....and and thought the same thing "your comforted by getting woke up every morning at 3pm be mrs. spencer" that creeped me out~
I caught the new ghost lab show as well, i think I need to tune in again before I go one way or another with that one.
I just see you guys heard no Halloween Live show....i'm kinda bummed by that but not to surprised
I also seen advertsed on GH about a new show coming in Nov with Steve & Tango, can think of the name at the moment, they teach ghost hunting 101

This is the great thing about this time of year, all the ghost shows are on!

I just saw your post. I don't usually pay much attention to Discovery so I appreciate the alert.

I haven't seen Paranormal Activity yet but it's on my short list. I was talked into Zombie Land instead. Odd little movie but fun.

Ghost stories are always welcome IMO.

Yeah, Ghost Lab was pretty cool. I will wait and see, but the first two episodes were reasonably entertaining.

I was all excited, I thought I found a new paranormal show on Animal Planet (that should have been my first cue) called Lost Tapes. It set itself up like Blair Witch or Cloverfield with these supposed lost tapes of 'victims'.

If you aren't interested in fictional accounts of werewolves or the like, then don't bother. They only last 30 minutes and the werewolf one I watched was at the very bottom of my threshold of too dumb to watch vs. just smart enough to keep me interested. DH definitely was not interested at all.

Don't get sucked in otherwise.

Ghost Hunters this week was pretty amazing with an opening and closing door. They visited Fort Henry. But I can't watch anymore without thinking in my head that they could have faked it. Even when it looks pretty legitimate. I don't voice that since it is a show that DH and I enjoy together, but the thought is always there.

Destination Truth was pretty good as well. Josh Gates is just an entertaining guy, even when he has the GHI guys on.

I doubt I will be able to drag DH to that one. He is my only scary movie watcher--all my other friends are chickens. I hope to catch it on HBO or something. I am too chicken to watch these shows alone most times too. Sometimes I will catch a mood in the afternoon folding laundry or something, but usually it is nighttime and no way am I freaking myself out alone at night!

We love GH. Well I do and I call my Aunt when it is on. She loves anything like that... I'm always calling her and telling her some show or another is on

I don't like a show I've come across and the gal has a Brittish accent... not sure what the name is? And do not care for Most Haunted. I just don't care for it.

I want to go to that Fort they were at the other night. I think it's near Niagara falls and I told DH that when we go up there we are so going to the Fort also!!

My Dh wants to see it, but I don't. More though because I heard that it wasn't so much a ghost story as more demonic. That is something I am not going to mess with!!!

I can't watch GH or any of those shows if it's night and I'm alone. My DH has to be with me. During the daytime it's different for some reason. My sister loved GH and we used to talk about it all the time, calling each other when it was on. I can't do that anymore and it feels weird to watch it and not have her to talk to about it.
