What buildings are they rehabbing right now? I am hoping by the time we check in we will be lucky enough to snag a rehabbed room on august 29th.:cutie:

Reportedly Sago Cay and Conch Key. Have a great trip!

Does anyone know when the rooms in the main building are scheduled to be worked on. We are arriving Sept 8 and are hoping to avoid construction. Thanks.

So Sago Cay and Conch key are renovated now, or being worked on? Thanks.

Based on someone just back, Conch Key may be fully complete (or just about) at this point. Others that have stayed in Sago aren't sure it is being worked on yet, as they have all been in non-renovated rooms and haven't seen much activity.

There have been some different dates swirling around - originally, it was thought it would be October, but now some are saying it might be later in the year. You should be fine in Sept.

ETA: Lives4Disney just posted over on the GF FAQ that they actually just started renovating RPC (the main building). They are working on the 5th floor currently, and the lounge has been temporarily relocated to the 3rd floor.

I had an email from the GF IPO who advised the renovations will be completed by early next year, although the main building would be completed by end August, mid September latest, except the suites which will be the last to be renovated. I was concerned it would impact on my early December stay, but the IPO confirmed it would 'have no impact at all'.

Do either of these buildings have MK views?? We booked a MK view room from 9/25-9/30. (1st time to GF so am unsure where MK view rooms are) Wondering if we'll be lucky enough to be in rehabbed room?????

Conch Key has great MK views, as does Sago. Both bldgs also house GV and LV rooms. I just saw pics of Sago room that is NOT rehabbed.

Here are a few pics from our theme park view renovated room in Conch Key from mid July.....loved this view! Have a great trip.

Great view? Remember what room number or floor you were on?? Also, how long of a walk from your room to main bldg & monorail? Have any pic of rehabbed room?? Thanks.:)

I posted my renovated room pics on the GF thread page 381 post #5708 and post #5710. This was room 7429, fourth floor. Here is the link:

I think the walk to the main building was about 2 - 3 minutes? We did not time this. The walk up to the monorail probably took another 2 - 3 minutes? Not a bad walk, also Conch Key is very very close to the boat dock from MK. Good Luck w/ planning!

Conch Key is finished. They are working on the main building and Sugar Loaf will start in Oct with the building being closed as they are completely redoing the lobby for that building.

The rooms will be same in all buildings when finished.

So do you think I should make a request now on my reservation to have a rehabbed room for our visit at Sept end? I have already booked the magic kingdom view room, should I put in this added request?? I am not sure what the old rooms were like?

Also, do the magic kingdom view rooms also have a view of the lagoon so you could see the water pagent at night?? Just curious. This will be our 1st stay at GF - I AM SO EXCITED!!
