We are planning to grab food from the takeout window. I was kind of hoping I could pick from the appetizers list instead of an entree. Has anyone tried to order an app as their meal here on the quick service dining plan? or could someone going soon please ask for me? TIA

We had hoped to use our QS credits at the take out window but from digging around online it seems like its a TS credit whether you sit or use the takeout window. Hopefully, someone who has been recently can further confirm.

It is a QS credit if you order from the takeout window. If you go into Geyser Point and order food at a table or the bar, it is a TS credit. You don't take food from the window into GP to eat, there are tables outside for that. An appetizer at GP is just that, an appetizer. If you want to use a TS credit for it, you can. Otherwise you pay out of pocket. The menu at the takeout window is slightly different from the GP menu.

Have you used the QS plan there since it rolled out this year? Hoping to get confirmation of that before eating there during one of our Magic Kingdom evenings.

The window is QS. You can open the dining app once you arrive and have the DP credits in your account. Do a fake order and you will see where it pulls the credits from. Inside GP is not QS, that is TS and you don't take the food ordered from the window into GP to eat. I would not make a trip over there to eat from the QS window, Geyser Point, yes.

Would you mind elaborating upon your hesitation regarding ordering from the QS window? We have a trip planned at the DVC Cabins at FW and the menu looked appealing at GP for QS. Thank you!

Geyser Point Bar is different from the pick up window (QS). They are different menus, one is QS and one is table service (Geyser Point Bar). The QS window is fine and I wouldn't hesitate to order there if you want to take it back to your room or eat outside. But, you can't take that food into the seating area at the bar. There are outside tables scattered around the QS window to use, but you don't order food from the window and take that into Geyser Point, which is sit down, table service. The QS window is located next to Geyser Point Bar, and the food is fine, but it's a separate dining location. And just to clarify the DVC cabins at FW are not at the Wilderness Lodge. You would need to drive or take a bus from FW to the WL, or the boat if it's after 3pm.

Thanks for clarifying. We are planning to walk or bike over to WL (fully aware of location) if the path has been re-opened for foot / bike traffic by the time we visit.
Finding a table to eat is fine too.
Is there any way to see the QS takeout menu?
Thanks again!

They have been known to give incorrect information. Not saying this is wrong, but… it does look like there is a GP Bar and Grill to Go Menu. It is the same as the sit down GP menu, and there is also a Geyser Point to go menu, which is what is normally offered at the pickup window and the prices are lower. That is why I was wondering if the Bar and Grill menu might be a TS credit (like if you do Steakhouse 71 to go, it's still a TS credit) and not a QS credit, as the walk up window menu would be. It's confusing.

"FS" credit? "Fast Service"? My understanding is that the DDP has tiers of: Table Service (TS), Quick Service (QS) and Snack credits. Is FS credit part of a different type of plan?

Sorry meant Full Service, should have used TS. I'll edit the post.
