Gettting nervous

I'm getting nervous sitting here in Australia and checking the Orlando weather on weather.com. We arrive the 11th October and leave the 19th.
I see the weather From September 28 to October 7 and see Scattered Thunderstorms for every day expect Thursday the 6th which is Scattered Showers (hardly filling me with confidence.) Please don't let this vacation that we planned and booked 8 months ago be rained on every day!

We went the same time last October and my DH said the same thing -that it was supposed to rain alot. Well the rain never came and the weather was beautiful.

Here's my advice for anytime it says "scattered thunderstorms". Don't sweat it! My experiences over the past 15 years (am I really old enough to say I've been going to Disney for 15 years???) has been that scattered thunderstorms usually means a short rainstorm. Usually 10-30 minutes. We don't let it stop us. We duck into a shop or ride and tough it out.

Even if it does pour, don't let that stop you from having a great time.

I hope the same happens to us. My wife says all that will happen is that everyone at DW will tell us "lucky you weren't here last week, you missed all of the horrible weather" as we tour the parks under sunny skies. I hope, I hope!

Seriously though, when it has rained when we've been down there, it usually only lasts a short while and then clears up. Mid to late afternoon is usually the timeframe and we are usually resting in our room at that time of the day and by the time it clears up we are geared up for our evening plans.

I live in Clearwater and although its not Orlando it says scattered showers almost every day,and we have not got rain for a few days. I'm not saying it won't rain, but if its scattered showers thats nothing but maybe a shower in the afternoon. Bring a poncho and enjoy the short lines that rain brings.

scattered showers are quite possible, but they are just that 'scattered'. On many trips it has rained for an hour or so, and then let up for a beautiful day. I have only had 1 day in 5 trips where it rained the majority of the day, and it was warm enough, we just played in the rain! It really helped the crowds too.
