Just wanted some info on any who have stayed at OKW resort on how to easily get to WDW, Epcot, etc.... with the least trouble and convienance for us and our 20 week old son...

Just use the buses. You can hold your infant in your lap. Pretty save. Never had any problems with our babies. Even had a 3 month old and 18 month old on my lap at the same time.

I agree with the previous posting that recommends taking the buses as much as possible.

Also OKW is a great place to stay!! You will find that it is HUGE, a 2 bedroom villa is about 1300sq ft (my HOUSE is 1600 sq ft) and of course a full size kitchen.

The bus stops are not far away from the rooms and you don't share your bus with other resorts (like Port Orelans riverside and PO french quarter) PLUS since it is a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort, your drop off and pick up locations at the various parks is very close to the enterence/exit.

My kids (2 yo girl and 3 yo boy) just LOVED taking the buses everywhere. And don't forget the strollers!!! You really do not want to rent them at the parks. I guess it depends on what you have now. We had a rather decent double stroller that allowed us to carry those items that always seem light at first but become amazonly heavy by the end of the day.

Hope that helps!!

Use the Disne busses. Just hold your baby in your lap. That is what we do. We did not have any issues last time.

At the end of the night it can be tough though. The buses get so full, and very few people are willing to give up a seat to a person wtih a baby. What we did (and will again) is if we get to the bus & it is filling up pretty well, we let people go in front of us in line & take the next bus. That way we are the first people on the bus & get a seat, and we only have to wait one bus.

We just got back from a trip with a 6-month old baby. We used both the busses and our rental car. Drawback to the busses is crowds and also a big stroller is unwieldy to get on and off. The car worked well for the stroller, but if you have to take the parking lot trams then again you have the unwieldy stroller issue. If you get there early enough and get a decent parking spot you can just walk to the main entrance of the parks, and in that case I preferred taking the car.

Well, if you are at OKW you are already in WDW. To get to the parks, if you don't have a car, take the bus. They will drop you a short walk from the turnstyles. If you have a car, that is often convenient for all the parks except the MK. Just drive over to their lots and take the tram to the turnstyles.

You will have to fold your stroller prior to boarding the bus or parking tram. To avoid holding up the line, you should empty and fold you stroller before its actually your turn to board.
