Have already figured out that we need to take the bus, not our rental. I have an early ADR at Akershus and need to know if I should change it. I wanted to get ahead of the crowd but not if it means ruining the day by having to be out the door at the crack of dawn! Its been several years since we rode the busses and we have never stayed at an All Star. What time should we be at the ASM bus stop for an 8am ADR?

Well....the buses won't be running between 5-7 a.m. due to the race, so the earliest you could catch a bus is 7. And I would make sure I was on the first bus. You will be able to avoid most of the lanes closures (except perhaps right near World Dr), but it may still take extra time with all the traffic re-routing.

If you can, change it. It's going to be tight getting the bus and then when you get to the park there are areas roped off and you have to wait while runners go by.
I had a Princess Breakfast on race day once and was half an hour late. I was so glad they sat us. So frustrating to get around WDW that day.

I had an 8am Akershus ADR on marathon Saturday this past January, and getting there was a nightmare. I had to take a race bus, which sat in traffic forever, to what I assume was the finish line area and then find my way to the front gate of Epcot from there. People working were horribly unhelpful and one openly made fun of me for not knowing where to go. I'd change it to a different day. It was the worst ordeal of my entire January trip.

I got on one of the first buses to the marathon from the All Star movies like at 3:05am,got to Epcot like 10 minutes later with no traffic. If you don't want to be stuck in traffic and want to get there early it's an option, just sayin! In reality it seems like if you get on the bus at 7am the traffic at that time might be a problem to get there. So either risk it and take the 7am bus,get on the 5am bus and see the start of the marathon or cancel the reservation.

Oh heck, no. I will make it for later and just bank on everybody else being stuck in traffic so I can get a Soarin FP. Thanks!

Be aware that 7 a.m. is a target for opening the entrance road, not a guarantee. If buses are not going into Epcot yet, the bus will be diverted to TTC, which almost guarantees traffic delays.
