Get me to MK on time!

Here is the situation. 10 of us are staying a night at Pop before activating our package at AKL. We would like to be at MK by 8:30, tickets in hand the day we are to check into AKL. In order to do this I have a car service picking us up at Pop at 7:30 and taking us and luggage to AKL. I thought I would arrange for the driver to wait for us to get checked in and drive us to...?

I know he can't get into the area where the resort buses land. I thought, maybe hike over from the Contemporary, but that would take too much time given the dynamics of our group. We could take the monorail from the Contemp. but I remember that as also taking a lot of time with all of the stops. Not sure about going to TTC--will it be a zoo and a wait for seats on the monorail? Is there another resort we can go to that has quick transportation to MK? Or would you just take the bus over from AKL?

Does everyone have to be there to check in? If not, those who don't have to actually be at checkin at the AKL could just hang at POP, and then take the bus directly to MK. One adult could head to AKL, I would take a cab, and checkin and get all passes. Then, take the AKL bus to MK. I wouldn't worry about the bags...have POP move them for you. Time consuming but easier than lugging them around yourself. If you want to be at the MK by 8:30, then get to AKL by 7:30...checkin and head right out to the MK bus. Meet up with the rest of your group at MK, passes in hand.
Or, do it your way....I just can't imagine what it is going to cost to transport 10 of you from POP to AKL and then to TTC or CR. I would just have one or two people checkin and the rest go to MK. That's a lot of people to move around.

Good Idea! Also, consider using the Resort Monorail instead of the Express from the TTC, it is usually less crowded if you end up going to TTC. Otherwise go to GF and ride from there.

So, is GF the last stop on the monorail before MK? Perhaps I will have the car drop us there. And, I will revisit the have some do the check in while others hang at Pop and take the resort bus to MK--I just feared that that group would roll over and go back to sleep!

Yep, the resort monorail stops at the MK, then the Contemporary, then TTC, then Polynesian, and finally the GF, then back to MK.
