Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

What a great busy weekend. Glad everyone could come out and spend time with each other.

I worked Friday and still would like another day. :goodvibes Looking forward to another busy week as our local schools were out last week but schools in surrounding counties are out this week.

Six more Sunday nights here (really five because Memorial Day Sunday won't be too bad). I think it is the 8th Sunday I am most excited about....we will be at WDW starting our trip!

I am loving the report. The girls are just tooo adorable.

Hope you all had a fantastic easter.

I just wanted to ask if you all could keep my friend Savanna and her little girl Addison in your prayers tonight. Addison (about a year and a half old) had a seizure today and stopped breathing and had to be rushed to the ER. Savanna is dealing with this by herself as her husband is a Marine who just recently deployed. So any and all prayers are greatly appreciated.

Happy Easter MeMom and family! I adore all the little Disney touches you put into all of your celebrations. :)

Only four more Mondays for us!

Love all the zoo pictures! Too funny that the bats and cheetahs get eggs, too! What a hoot! That waxed tree frog looks like a Disney character in the making!

Bella and Brooklyn made great purchases. Brooklyn as a pretend giraffe and Bella with her purse with the flamingo stuffed inside are too funny! :lmao:

Dinner looks delicious! Yum! Yum! Yum!

Happy Easter! I hope everyone has had a wonderful day!

I apologize for getting so far behind. School got me the week before and then we were gone most of this week for spring break. I can't believe how fast this week went!! I know the end of the year is coming but it still seems so far away...

I have enjoyed catching up and seeing your Animal Kingdom photos. My favorite thing we did over break was go to the National Zoo. We had a blast. I tried to pretend I was in Animal Kingdom! The zoo has nowhere near the themeing of AK but you can't beat the number of animals. We had a partly cloudy day in the mid 70's so it was perfect and all the animals were out and active. We also went to some Smithsonian museums and the National Aquarium in Baltimore. On the way home we stopped at an Outlet Mall and the kids got clothes and shoes. Momma got to shop in the Disney store Outlet.

I am putting a link here to an online photo album if anyone is interested in our pictures. The zoo is combined with the other things so you may have to click through those if you are not interested. The other little girl in the photos is our niece, Sydney. She's 5 and she and her mom (John's sister) are going to Disney with us in June. We are all excited!! 58 days!!

National Zoo pictures and DC

Oh-I haven't forgotten about the Minnie dress. I have it and some other clothes that I plan on sending for Brooklyn. I got one box and it was too small. Got another and it is too big. So, I am hoping the third time will be the charm.

Have a good week!

We all have times when we're just bogged down with work and life. It's nice when we have the chance to come to the DISboards for a while to escape it all.

I looked at your pictures. I know you guys had a blast! Thanks for sharing. :)

Don't stress over the clothes. Brooklynn will enjoy having any thing any time. She likes to try on things and twirl around and model them. :goodvibes

Happy Easter! Josh, Kazin, and my uncle just left. We had a good time and now I'm enjoying the last few hours of spring break But at least I have an exciting Saturday to look forward to I don't think I've ever been this excited for my birthday!

I love all of the big cats. And little cats. I have three of those Meg and I saw a sea turtle at the aquarium in October. They're so fun to watch!

:scared1: :faint:

I love the little stuffed animals with the rain coats. I have Flower and Marie

I got those several years ago when the Disney Store had them on sale. I think they were $5.00 each, and I got one of every one our store had. Our store didn't have Flower or Marie.

Looking forward to your birthday weekend will definitely help you get through having to go back to school.

It looks like you had some nice days with the family. I'm just mad that you guys are wearing shorts and tank tops! We're still wearing fleece and the heater is running!

Yes, it was in the low 80's Saturday. :cool2:
I am so glad our winter finally went away. ::yes::

Looks like a great weekend! Those plastic Easter Eggs are super cute.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday night, even if Monday comes too quickly!

Mondays always come too quickly.

I'm trying to figure out how I can use those eggs in a Science center at school. :teacher:

Great pictures of the zoo yesterday. Boy it sounds like you had quite the busy day. The girls look so cute with their new purchases.

Glad to hear African Cats was good although not happy to hear about it being sad. I am anxious to see it though.

Looks like you had a great Easter weekend. I had a very nice day with family.

The movie was really good. Seeing a gazillion wildebeest roaming across the savannah is quite a sight. Seeing a lion roar down a crocodile was wild. The baby cats were so cute. The bad parts were that this was all real and in the wild, so there was fighting, injury, and loss, but I think it was all handled ver well.

oh my goodnes..the picture of Bella and her purse are too darn cute! she is getting so big! We had a good easter. my MIL made a wonderful meal and she got all the kids these Melissa and Doug sand toys that are cooking tools (one is an ice cream set and another cupcakes...etc) and got colored sand...the kids were out there almost all afternoon playing! They had a blast! Came home and changed Caleb's diaper and he had purple sand in his diaper. LOL! and my niece also told me he tried to eat some...what can I say...that boy loves his "purple". LOL!

Glad you guys had a nice day!

Bella is at such a cute stage. She is beginning to be independent, wanting to do things and get things for herself. Her toddler speak is so cute, too. In this year from 2 to 3, she will leave being a baby and grow into a real live little girl. :cutie:

I bet your group had fun with colored sand. :yay: I am glad you guys had some special family time. :thumbsup2

What a great busy weekend. Glad everyone could come out and spend time with each other.

I worked Friday and still would like another day. Looking forward to another busy week as our local schools were out last week but schools in surrounding counties are out this week.

I got off Friday, and it still flew by. I tell you - the clock ticks faster on the weekends!

Six more Sunday nights here (really five because Memorial Day Sunday won't be too bad). I think it is the 8th Sunday I am most excited about....we will be at WDW starting our trip!

I really haven't counted exactly, but I'm guessing. I think we have ten weeks until our Disney trip. I am excited for you guys! :woohoo:

I am loving the report. The girls are just tooo adorable.

Hope you all had a fantastic easter.

I just wanted to ask if you all could keep my friend Savanna and her little girl Addison in your prayers tonight. Addison (about a year and a half old) had a seizure today and stopped breathing and had to be rushed to the ER. Savanna is dealing with this by herself as her husband is a Marine who just recently deployed. So any and all prayers are greatly appreciated.

We will keep your friends in mind. What a heartache to have to experience any illness with our children. We need to treasure every minute with those we love, because we never know when life will change drastically for any of us.

Happy Easter MeMom and family! I adore all the little Disney touches you put into all of your celebrations.

It wouldn't seem right to have a holiday without Mickey and his pals.

It was all pretty good. The cheesy potatoes are always a favorite. I like to put out several different vegetables so people can choose the ones that they think go together. The meat is the basic, but you can go with macaroni salad and baked beans, or you can go with cheesy potatoes and broccoli, and such. Plus, now I have leftovers for a couple of days to mix and match, and I won't have to cook again until Wednesday. :thumbsup2

Four more weeks! :dance3:

Maybe you can write a story for Disney to produce, which will include a waxed tree frog, when you are sitting at your beach cottage.

The next stop of the day was Finding Nemo, the Musical. Jill decided to go back to the room to put Bella down for a while. I went to get Brooklynn a strawberry popsicle. Trent and Tanya had gone on into the theater, as had Kay. By the time she finished her popsicle, we couldn't find them, so we just sat by ourselves during the show.

Brooklynn finishing the strawberry goodness.

I very much enjoy this show.
I wish I could take decent pictures.
I think I have some video, though, so that should be better than the pictures.

Have a good Monday, guys.
Teacher friends, it's time to dig in and finish out this school year so we can have a nice long break! :cool1:
Non-teacher friends, you should have become teachers.
Of course, your paycheck probably is a lot fatter than all the teachers with the 'free' summers.... ;)

 I have to confess that the thought I should have become a teacher did just cross my mind as I read about those of you coming upon a nice summer break! ;)

Looks like a great Easter at the MeMom household. Sorry Tanya got roped into working. Those bug eggs are adorable as are the girls (not in that order!)

Good Monday morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. I spent a ton of time with my boys which was great. We made Easter eggs, hunted Easter eggs about a thousand times, played soccer in the yard, put together puzzles. It was a perfect weekend. It makes me realize how more important doing those things are than anything else. I think it is funny that you meal looked alot like mine. I had potato casserole, ham, fresh green beans, fried corn, deviled eggs, and rolls. I love Finding Nemo also. It makes me want September to come!! Only around 150 days.;)

I think we only have about six weeks of school left. That's sounding pretty good to me. Six more Sunday evenings to spend fighting off the 'Monday morning is almost here' feeling, and then I can like Sunday nights again for the summer. :thumbsup2

We also have 6 more weeks but today is still a part of our 4 day weekend and then there is Memorial day so I'm going with "4 more Mondays" (and yes, I am totally not counting the final workday Monday because there won't be any kids or meetings, just worktime...then we leave for Disney on Tuesday :cool1:)

Looks like a wonderful family weekend!!

That was a great trip to the zoo! And you guys always put on a great feast!

6 weeks of school left for you, that is an easy stretch. Pooksma and Declan have until late June but I think they are counting the days until they are done.

For me, it is about 112 days until our pilgrimage but I do have a couple of work trips before that.

Hope you guys had a great Easter.

:grouphug:HAPPY EASTER!!! :grouphug:

I enjoyed seeing the zoo pics...thanks for the warnings...when there's snakes around I am like Tanya....gone the other direction fast.

Sweet little matching outfits the girls had on this weekend.

I was hoping you took pics in the gift shop. :)
The girls made purrrfect choices.

Glad you made it to see African Cats, I heard the same comments about it.
I know I will stil cry but I can't wait to see it tomorrow.

So jealous of lunch at Red Robin...best burgers EVER!!! :yay:

Good to see Jarvis at your place for dinner, he must be very happy to have Trent back home.

Love all your spring characters that decorated your table! They are so cute!
I don't have any with raincoats. :upsidedow

Food looks yummy as always!

I have leftovers today too, lunch will be far more excitting.

Our shopping day on Friday was alot of fun..no Disney items to share though.
I wish I knew about the Mickey hand soap at Target. I was there...I could have been able to check it out.

I worked Saturday and we decorated eggs that evening.

"The Easter Bunny" had left some eggs outside this year for Lexi as the weather was gorgeous.
Had a tasty Easter brunch yesterday before we left for the movie.

Let me tell you about that...I had purchased tickets a few days ago online so we arrived a little early and went to get our seats.
We questioned that the theatre # on the tickets didn't match the posters on the wall and asked if we had the right one.
One guy looked and said yes, then he got another guy and he too said yes we did have the right theatre.
Missed clue #1
We took our seats in an empty theatre. (I joked that I paid a thousand dollars to have a private showing for Easter :rotfl:)
Missed clue #2
People started filling in and I figured the movie was starting late because they were trying to fill the empty theatre.
Missed clue #3.
Trailers start..okay they were for family movies Kung Fu Panda etc.
I felt relieved and settled in re asuring Lexi we had the right theatre.
Let me remind you how excitted she was to see this movie...and she brought along her new E.B. Bunny, Pink Barett Bunny and Carlos the Chick.
She had her HOP candy from her easter basket too.
Movie starts and....

it's Soul Surfer!!!:scared1:

Look to Lexi and she starts crying... first a tear :sad1:and then
I felt aweful for her.
Looked at my watch and realized if we left for the other movie it was already 45 minutes into it.
She wanted to leave and I convinced her to stay..it would be okay.
I knew about this movie but didn't know how bad the shark attack scene would be. I hoped for the best.
They handled it without alot of gore. She still hid behind bunny at that part.
Great movie with a wonderful message so I was glad we got to see it.
Lexi even said she liked it

After the movie ended I went to seek out a manager and they comped tickets to another movie and threw in free popcorn.

Went home and ate Easter dinner and then came back to see the right movie later last night.
Ironically it was playing in the same theatre..they asured me it was correct this time.
It was a cute movie, perfect for Easter time. Funny in parts!

I'm hoping today will be easy at work.

I had to laugh when you commented about us non teachers wishing we chose teaching to get the summers off.
Only during the summer do I wish we could trade places. :rotfl2:

Have a great day! :flower3:

what a happy Easter you guys had! Very nice! The zoo looks lovely and I'm glad you enjoyed the movie and dinner with family and friends! :)

Happy Easter!! ( belated anyway!)

It looks like everyone had a great time at the zoo & at Easter dinner. All of your Disney pals looked SO cute!! :)

It's so hard to believe that school ends in 6 weeks - wow!!! That went fast (at least from a bystanders point of view!!) :)

Have a super day!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

It looks like you all had a great day! I cannot wait to get to the zoo here, it's just been so rainy that I haven't had the chance! I might try this weekend! That frog looks like pascal from tangled! The girls outfits are, as always, gorgeous! I cannot wait until I have two little girls that I can match their clothes! I love the plastic easter plates! I got a $25 Disney gift card yesterday plus $20 and those both went straight into my trip fund jar! Have a good Monday!

Wonderful pictures from Finding Nemo - definitely ensured that the soundtrack will be stuck in my head for at least a few days now! Hope you had a great Easter! :goodvibes

Happy belated Easter! Today is my last day of break (we have a long weekend- Thurs., Fri., and Mon.)

I have never seen clouded leopards before - they have a reptile look to their fur! It looks like it was a fun day at the zoo. Brooklyn looks so much older than the Disney pictures?! I love that Bella picked a purse!!!

I was afraid to do a Monday count down, but low and behold, I only have six Mondays!! (one off today and one off Memorial Day, but still I am excited.)

I started to sing (in my head- I am only a little crazy today...:rolleyes1) while I looked at your Nemo show pictures!

I love that you had a great family weekend! Wishing you a great week that moves very quickly!!:wizard:

I admit you had me curious about how many Monday's were left. We have 6 to go. Doesn't sound so bad when you put it that way....

Found your report through someone elses and I am enjoying catching up on it right now, just wanted to come out of lurking to say hello and now back to reading more of it :goodvibes
