Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

The Finding Nemo show looks so cute. I want to see it for sure, just haven't found the time in any of our trips yet. Brooklynn's strawberry goodness sure looks yummy. :)

Looks like you had a lovely Easter. Glad to see ALL of your family back together again on a regular basis. I know you are too.

Your "summer is almost here" joy is just the opposite for me. I will go from having only after-schoolers to all-dayers in one short month! And it is a lllllloooooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggggg day for sure. 7:00am-6:00pm... 11 hours! They are sweet girls, but they are very busy, and loud, and occasionally dramatic. ;) I'm getting a taste of it this week too because they are out for Easter. I just try to stay focused on the positive... Disney money, Disney money, Disney money. :rolleyes1

Brooklyn and Bella are so so cute in those outfits! I looked on Kohl.com for them, like Jill said, but they only go up to 6x! :( In fact my DD won't be able to wear the Jumping Beans brand of anything anymore b/c it all pretty much stops at 6x. I just can't tell you how frustrating that is to be out of the "little girl" sizes and still have a little girl to dress! Jill, enjoy it while it lasts!

I think your Nemo pictures turned out very well considering the lighting in there makes it impossible to take fantastic pictures. The only awesome pics from there I have ever seen have been from people on the photography board who have $1000s in equipment and lots of experience. So don't beat yourself up, they look great!

I've actually thought about you quite a bit this week. I've been planning like a mad woman b/c Saturday is my 180 day mark and I can make my ADRs. As I have been researching all the things we plan to do on this next trip, I've noticed that almost all of it involves lots of water and palm trees! :cloud9: And every time I have seen a picture like that, I've thought about you! If I have time to do a TR, I think you will want to be in on it for all the palm tree action. Maybe the TR title will be, "Eye Candy for Memom"!

Looks like you had a wonderful weekend with family. We had a very rainy Easter, but we needed it so badly that I wasn't about to complain!

I think the last day of school is on everyone's mind right now, we just have about 4 1/2 weeks to go  I'm dancing now, but I'm sure after a few weeks of the kids being home I'll be ready for school to start again

That little purse will go perfectly with that zebra print skirt Bella wore to Animal Kingdom :thumbsup2 Looks like a great zoo visit! We have a tiny teaching zoo here at the community college, they have a Zoo Animal Technology program. A lot of their graduates go on to work for Disney. It's a great program!

Glad you all had a happy Easter! It's a shame Tanya had to work :sad2: I don't blame her for taking a picture of the schedule! Good idea :)

ooh, he better not sell my glasses.

The redecorating looks like its off to a great start. Love the floor, Can't wait to see the finished product

My condolences go out to Jarvis and his family.

I'll ask my dad if he knows about a backstory to those names. My guess is that he doesn't but it never hurts to ask

Wow! A dryer that dries in 3 minutes; that's amazing!!

Such a creative fun birthday party! As always, I love looking at the cakes Jill creates.

Yay, for Trent coming home. I know you are beyond excited.

Oooh, love the idea of a Tangled themed party for Brooklynn, it would be interesting to see what Jill comes up with.

Happy Belated birthday to Bella, I was confused as to when her birthday fell on as I posted on Jill's fb wall. She probably thought i was loca.

Congratulations to Tanya on her new job.

That picture of Trent with Brooklynn reminds me of my boyfriend and his niece, they have the same relationship.

Congrats to Bella on wearing big girl panties!

I miss the Hustle :(

looking at your animal kingdom pictures makes me realize that I still have a memory card full of pictures to upload somewhere.

love the AKL print and Brooklynn's soccah uniform
(this was on a sticky note on my computer so I dont know if I posted this already or not:confused:, if its a double post, i apologize)

---
I love those AK shirts and mugs. I wish the pink one had zebra stripes.

Congratulations DisneyJoo, what wonderful exciting news!!:dance3:

My jaw literally dropped when I read how Drew treats your Disney mugs.

Feel free to vent, we're always here for you.:grouphug: I don't mind hearing about the venting cause it gives me an "inside" look at teaching:teacher:, and it hasn't scared me away (from wanting to teach)

shame on those clueless chatterbug CMs, I would have told on them too. (And he has his arms crossed too, that's not part of the Disney Look)

Dinosaur gets me every time, no acting - full out shocked face:scared1:, every time.

Hope you are feeling much better by now MeMom.

Brooklynn looks too tired to eat her hot dog (but now I read she was looking down at Bella).

I don't think I've seen those themed water fountains.

Anita, the overnight stay at the gorilla exhibit sounds very interesting.

I spotted the Disney connections in your alphabetical order list right away.

Loved Bella's Mingo and little purse.

Looks like you all had a fun Easter weekend. It's terrible that Tanya had to go in to work right before dinner.:guilty:

Great AK update. I think I am up to date. Just not as much computer time right now so I just need to back track a little to make sure. The zoo day looked like so much fun. I am thinking of taking Abby and Ellie soon. It has been a little while for us. You Easter dinner looked so yummy and everything was relaxed and festive. The perfect combination to enjoy your family!

I have to confess that the thought I should have become a teacher did just cross my mind as I read about those of you coming upon a nice summer break!

Looks like a great Easter at the MeMom household. Sorry Tanya got roped into working. Those bug eggs are adorable as are the girls (not in that order!)

Although there are negatives to teaching - being responsible for other lives, arguing, tattling, being snotted on, coughed on, and thrown up on, teeth pulling, head lice, irate parents, unmotivated kids, spending a lot of your own money, pressures from on high, mountains of paperwork, and low salaries - the perk is that you do have your weekends, holidays, and summers, for the most part. :)

Good Monday morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. I spent a ton of time with my boys which was great. We made Easter eggs, hunted Easter eggs about a thousand times, played soccer in the yard, put together puzzles. It was a perfect weekend. It makes me realize how more important doing those things are than anything else. I think it is funny that you meal looked alot like mine. I had potato casserole, ham, fresh green beans, fried corn, deviled eggs, and rolls. I love Finding Nemo also. It makes me want September to come!! Only around 150 days.

I enjoyed the leftovers last night, too. Still good. :thumbsup2

I am glad you got to have that time away from work and with your family.

When you go, I will have just started a new school year. Maybe you can send me some phone pictures again. :goodvibes

We also have 6 more weeks but today is still a part of our 4 day weekend and then there is Memorial day so I'm going with "4 more Mondays" (and yes, I am totally not counting the final workday Monday because there won't be any kids or meetings, just worktime...then we leave for Disney on Tuesday )

Looks like a wonderful family weekend!!

Leaving for Disney World will make then end of the year so much more tolerable. :wizard:

That was a great trip to the zoo! And you guys always put on a great feast!

6 weeks of school left for you, that is an easy stretch. Pooksma and Declan have until late June but I think they are counting the days until they are done.

For me, it is about 112 days until our pilgrimage but I do have a couple of work trips before that.

Hope you guys had a great Easter.

Any time you drive through Nashville, come by and have a meal with us!

All of our trips are spread throughout the year. 150 days for one person, 112 for another, next week for some. I think we're at 60 something. It's nice to have someone down there or nearly there all the time to keep sending back the fun to those who are waiting.

I enjoyed seeing the zoo pics...thanks for the warnings...when there's snakes around I am like Tanya....gone the other direction fast.
Sweet little matching outfits the girls had on this weekend.

I was hoping you took pics in the gift shop.
The girls made purrrfect choices.

Glad you made it to see African Cats, I heard the same comments about it.
I know I will stil cry but I can't wait to see it tomorrow.

So jealous of lunch at Red Robin...best burgers EVER!!!

Good to see Jarvis at your place for dinner, he must be very happy to have Trent back home.
Love all your spring characters that decorated your table! They are so cute!
I don't have any with raincoats.

Food looks yummy as always!

I have leftovers today too, lunch will be far more excitting.

Our shopping day on Friday was alot of fun..no Disney items to share though.
I wish I knew about the Mickey hand soap at Target. I was there...I could have been able to check it out.

I worked Saturday and we decorated eggs that evening.

"The Easter Bunny" had left some eggs outside this year for Lexi as the weather was gorgeous.
Had a tasty Easter brunch yesterday before we left for the movie.

Let me tell you about that...I had purchased tickets a few days ago online so we arrived a little early and went to get our seats.
We questioned that the theatre # on the tickets didn't match the posters on the wall and asked if we had the right one.
One guy looked and said yes, then he got another guy and he too said yes we did have the right theatre.
Missed clue #1
We took our seats in an empty theatre. (I joked that I paid a thousand dollars to have a private showing for Easter)
Missed clue #2
People started filling in and I figured the movie was starting late because they were trying to fill the empty theatre.
Missed clue #3.
Trailers start..okay they were for family movies Kung Fu Panda etc.
I felt relieved and settled in re asuring Lexi we had the right theatre.
Let me remind you how excitted she was to see this movie...and she brought along her new E.B. Bunny, Pink Barett Bunny and Carlos the Chick.
She had her HOP candy from her easter basket too.
Movie starts and....

it's Soul Surfer!!!

Look to Lexi and she starts crying... first a tear :sad1:and then
I felt aweful for her.
Looked at my watch and realized if we left for the other movie it was already 45 minutes into it.
She wanted to leave and I convinced her to stay..it would be okay.
I knew about this movie but didn't know how bad the shark attack scene would be. I hoped for the best.
They handled it without alot of gore. She still hid behind bunny at that part.
Great movie with a wonderful message so I was glad we got to see it.
Lexi even said she liked it

After the movie ended I went to seek out a manager and they comped tickets to another movie and threw in free popcorn.

Went home and ate Easter dinner and then came back to see the right movie later last night.
Ironically it was playing in the same theatre..they asured me it was correct this time.
It was a cute movie, perfect for Easter time. Funny in parts!

I'm hoping today will be easy at work.

I had to laugh when you commented about us non teachers wishing we chose teaching to get the summers off.
Only during the summer do I wish we could trade places.

Have a great day!

You got to see two movies for the price of one. That's nice. Movies are so expensive. Because we went at the time we did, it was $3 more per person than the one right before it. :headache:

Teaching has its ups and downs, but I am very grateful that we do get so much time off. ::yes::

I got the Whiskey River BBQ Burger at Red Robin. It was good, but very big. I enjoyed eating the rest of it at home.

I think you will get a tear or two during at least that one scene of African Cats.

what a happy Easter you guys had! Very nice! The zoo looks lovely and I'm glad you enjoyed the movie and dinner with family and friends!

It was very nice to have everyone around. Drew needs to take Maggie to see African Cats, since they didn't go with us.

Happy Easter!! ( belated anyway!)

It looks like everyone had a great time at the zoo & at Easter dinner. All of your Disney pals looked SO cute!!

It's so hard to believe that school ends in 6 weeks - wow!!! That went fast (at least from a bystanders point of view!!) :)

Have a super day!!

I could have made the year go a lot slower for you if you had visited my classroom every day. I am glad I got to know these kids, but I will honestly tell you that I am ready for a break from a few of them. ;)

More great zoo pics MeMom! I loved the clouded leopards the best! You don't get to see them very often and they are so pretty! I have two cats myself, so I'm partial to their wild cousins!

I did scroll through the photo of man holding the tarantula very fast! I'm not a fan a spiders, but I'm OK as long as they are not touching me. Seeing someone holding a spider (on purpose!) just gives me the willies! :)

I think your photos from Finding Nemo turned out very well! The undersea lighting is great for setting the mood of the show, but not so great for taking photos. Finding Nemo is my favorite show in all of WDW, and we might try to see it this time. We're going to do the dining package, so we won't have to wait in line, and I think if we sit near the front so he could see really well, that it will hold Everett's attention. He is getting better and better so I have high hopes for this trip. Let just cross our fingers for no teething this time around! :thumbsup2

Ahhhh....yummm!

I always get the Whisky BBQ Chicken Burger .... makes me want to get in the car and drive for one....

it's only 3 hours away and I can go to the Disney Store at the same time.

Can't tonight cause it's our turn to see African Cats .... :woohoo:

I just hope I don't embarrass myself with the crying. :lmao:

That may be a good plan for Mother's Day though. My DMom likes Red Robin too! :thumbsup2

Wow, you have a nice zoo in Nashville. We usually check out the zoos in every city we visit but we were in Nashville during winter the last time and I only had a few days at my conference. Will have to do the next time we are there!

Glad you liked African Cats. We finally watched Oceans this past weekend. The whole family  it. Made me definitely want to go see African Cats.

It looks like you had a great Easter with your family. Love the insect Easter eggs! :thumbsup2 How cute they hunted them with a net! It rained off and on so Jeremy and I hid and hunted in the house. I broke down and let him hide eggs in the kitchen. I should have known better as when I preheated the oven.....I found one I had missed----melted all over the place!! :scared1:

:love:the Nemo show! A must each trip.

:cool1:Yay, for 6 weeks of school!!!! That is what we have left. Jeremy is getting ready for OAA testing next week so it has been hectic at school and at home with all the test prep homework. I am really looking forward to the school year ending.

What a fun and fabulous Easter weekend! Looks like you have a really great zoo near you :thumbsup2
Very good souvenir choices! I laughed right out loud with Brooklyn and the giraffe mask! And Bella looked adorable with her mingo and new purse dangling from her arm :goodvibes
I still haven't seen Nemo at AK....Maybe this time :rolleyes1

Tracy

All caught up! MeMom and Jill, I hope you had a wonderful Easter. From the looks of the pictures, you did. I love the eggs you bought for the girls with the nets, so cute :goodvibes

Why is it impossible to get good pictures in the Nemo show?! I can't get them in there either. I'm counting down the days until I'm done with school too, 38 more to go. We also leave for Disney that day :thumbsup2

HAPPY EASTER!!!

It looks like you all had a great day! I cannot wait to get to the zoo here, it's just been so rainy that I haven't had the chance! I might try this weekend! That frog looks like pascal from tangled! The girls outfits are, as always, gorgeous! I cannot wait until I have two little girls that I can match their clothes! I love the plastic easter plates! I got a $25 Disney gift card yesterday plus $20 and those both went straight into my trip fund jar! Have a good Monday!

It's always nice to be able to add to the trip jar!

We've got more rain on the way.

Wonderful pictures from Finding Nemo - definitely ensured that the soundtrack will be stuck in my head for at least a few days now! Hope you had a great Easter! :goodvibes

In the big blue world.... :fish:

Happy belated Easter! Today is my last day of break (we have a long weekend- Thurs., Fri., and Mon.)

I have never seen clouded leopards before - they have a reptile look to their fur! It looks like it was a fun day at the zoo. Brooklyn looks so much older than the Disney pictures?! I love that Bella picked a purse!!!

I was afraid to do a Monday count down, but low and behold, I only have six Mondays!! (one off today and one off Memorial Day, but still I am excited.)

I started to sing (in my head- I am only a little crazy today...) while I looked at your Nemo show pictures!

I love that you had a great family weekend! Wishing you a great week that moves very quickly!!

I have a little secret. I sometime youtube Disney shows, like Nemo, and rides to get Disney fix. :)

The clouded leopards were a brother and sister, they told us. They were fun to watch.

I admit you had me curious about how many Monday's were left. We have 6 to go. Doesn't sound so bad when you put it that way....

If we count it in paychecks, it's even shorter.
Luckily, I get paid year 'round, though. :thumbsup2

Found your report through someone elses and I am enjoying catching up on it right now, just wanted to come out of lurking to say hello and now back to reading more of it.

Good to have you joining us. :goodvibes I hope you will keep hanging out with us.

The Finding Nemo show looks so cute. I want to see it for sure, just haven't found the time in any of our trips yet. Brooklynn's strawberry goodness sure looks yummy.

It seems that having a strawberry bad in Animal Kingdom has become somewhat of a habit.

I hope you get to see Nemo. It might be a tad bit long for some little ones, but it's good.

Looks like you had a lovely Easter. Glad to see ALL of your family back together again on a regular basis. I know you are too.

Brooklynn is already to the stage where some of the clothes in her sizes are way too grown up looking. She's just 4! Jill does a good job finding them cute clothes, I think.

I could babysit at home in June, I guess, but I would really like to take a break from kids for a while. I feel so much more refreshed for the new school year if I get a break.

Looks like you had a wonderful weekend with family. We had a very rainy Easter, but we needed it so badly that I wasn't about to complain!

Yes, I have heard a lot of parents already lamenting the upcoming summer break.

What a great Easter celebration!
The girls are too cute!
I love the purse Bella got at the zoo.

She had her heart set on a particular purse, so Jill could not say no.

That little purse will go perfectly with that zebra print skirt Bella wore to Animal Kingdom Looks like a great zoo visit! We have a tiny teaching zoo here at the community college, they have a Zoo Animal Technology program. A lot of their graduates go on to work for Disney. It's a great program!

Glad you all had a happy Easter! It's a shame Tanya had to work I don't blame her for taking a picture of the schedule! Good idea

I didn't even think aboutt he skirt until you mentioned it. They will definitely go together!

Maybe I should come down there and start over in college.

I love those AK shirts and mugs. I wish the pink one had zebra stripes.

Congratulations DisneyJoo, what wonderful exciting news!!

Looks like you all had a fun Easter weekend. It's terrible that Tanya had to go in to work right before dinner.

You did get all that first batch in before. ::yes::

We'll have to ride Dinosaur together sometime.

You won't boo-hoo cry, but you will get tears. :)

I thought those eggs were just so cute when I saw them. They were different from all the others, and with us being such animal lovers, they seemed made for us. :)

We lost one egg, but I found it today in my room with the two M&M's in it. They didn't last long. ;)

If you ever try out the Nashville Zoo again, give us a call.

What a fun and fabulous Easter weekend! Looks like you have a really great zoo near you

I'm surprised at how many people haven't seen the show. I guess most people concentrate on the rides.

Your countdown is way smaller than ours. :cool1: I think May will fly by, since we have so much to do at school. I will enjoy relaxing in June, and we leave July 1st, so it shouldn't be such a bad wait.

After Nemo, two of the group would brave this:

Care to guess who?

Not me.

Not Brook.

Not Trent.

Tanya and Kay went in search of the Yeti.
Kay liked it, and Tanya wanted to do it again, but they didn't.

The plan was then to meet Jill at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

We got Glenda a candlestick in the above line as a remembrance of the good times she and her mother had had at AKL. I mailed it to her about a week after we got home, and she said she would think of those sweet times whenever she looked at it.

Do I need to mention that we got these?

I am so trying to decide which room in my house will have the AKL touch. :lmao:

Have to say it ---mmmmmm Zebra domes

Thanks MeMom! I needed that post. I have been in a real funk lately with planning and getting things together for this summer's trip. So much has been going on here and now Tom is down in his back. It is worse than it has ever been and I am so worried he will need surgery again.

Your post just lifted my spirits. AKL is just amazing. I am really looking forward to staying here. I will definitely send you pictures along the way until you arrive in Disney. When do you arrive? We check out of AKL on June 30th. Will you be there before then? Maybe we could have our dismeet here if so.

I haven't been to AKL in a long time! Not for the last 3 trips or so. I need to go back there! It looks like that was a lovely afternoon! :) I love 'mingos too!
