Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Awwww...Bella is adorable! She is making great progress to wave at Donald!

Brooklynn is such an awesome and sweet big sister to Bella, very cute to see!

Love the pics of the F&G Festival! It looks so beautiful!

It's a little bit more excitting to see them because we have a trip planned for that time next year!
Our first time to see those topiaries....can't wait...

We went to the States last night and I picked up the....

Can't wait to try the cake...it sounds delicious!!!

Funny story about buying it last night...I told my DMom that I needed to find the cocktail mix section in the store.
She was very curious as to why because we don't drink.
I replied that "I'm so stressed I need to take up drinking"...she said I need to go buy a purse instead...
Once I explained it was for making Memom's cake she just smiled and said....of course...now that makes sense...

I kinda felt like Ms. Wig'd my trunk was full coming home.
We picked up a new 12 ft. pool for Lexi, groceries, some clothes, and lots of other stuff.
Got the new Cars 2 Cd, cereal, cheese itz and fruit packs. Only Disney purchases of the night.
Found some Barbie furniture we will use in our remodeling of the Hannah Montana doll house into a Monster High House. (summer / end of school year project)
We found some cool fabric at JoAnn's too.

Gotta go...have to get the rest of the groceries done before work tonight.

Have a glorious weekend...only 1 more til you leave!!!!

I hope your family enjoys the cake. It's always been a hit wherever I have taken it, at least with people who like coconut.

Sounds like you had a very successful shopping trip. :thumbsup2

Seeing the flowers in person will be incredible, because I know your winter will be worse than ours. You'll be more than ready to see greenery and colors all around.

The problem now? My car has been unloaded into my living room!

It takes me a few days of putting things up in spurts until I finally close and put away the suitcases.

Bella so reminds me of Devon...no way would she get near the characters, even with her sisters there or me.
That's why I cried and tried to explain to Piglet how important it was that Devon actually wanted to stand up in a picture for the very first time....that was Nov 2009 and she was 6! OH look I found it in my trip report: Piglet Meet

OK so about the coupon holder. I am writing a tutorial and thought about making a few to sell. I gotta get on that this week. I will contact Jill to see what she wants in terms of Disney fabric.

I remember reading that story. Sweet Devon! :cutie:

Hi! Sorry I haven't been back to check in since graduation! I was so overwhelmed by everything that day and I've been recovering all week Yes I am now a high school graduate The ceremony was really nice and the cookout was a ton of fun. I was so excited to see Caleb! He and Kazin were the life of the party I can't believe how big Kazin's vocabulary is. He talks all the time and a lot of it actually makes sense now Caleb is much more quiet but he gets louder when he's playing with Kazin. I get to see them today too. We're having another cookout. This time it's at my uncle's house. It's for Jeremy's birthday(tomorrow), my grandma's birthday(monday), and father's day. I might be going over to Jeremy and Leslie's new place tonight after the cookout to watch Caleb so they can go to a movie. I think they're gonna like having a babysitter 2 miles away I've never watched Caleb alone before and he doesn't know me as well as Kazin does, but I'm not worried about it. He'll be in bed by then anyway...hopefully

That's the Donald I have!

I'm definitely more like Brooklynn. I'm not a morning person at all. If I wake up on my own I'm fine, but when I wake up with the alarm or if someone wakes me up, I'm grumpy

Nooooo!

Congratulations again! You're a real grown-up now. :goodvibes

You'll be a very caring babysitter. Your family is fortunate to have you close.

I saw her back there too!!
Ohh Bella!! I love her little retreat squirm to get away

Too funny about the Miss Anita dream sequence!!! I was laughing right out loud!!!

Tracy

Glad you enjoyed the humor. I like to tease Anita for all of her outstanding shopping qualities. What would we do if she didn't shop?

Bella does better than I ever did with characters when I was her age! When I was a baby I went to a Philadelphia Philly's game and their mascot, the Phanatic, came right up to my face. I'm not sure if you know what he looks like, but he is big and green and has a huuuuuge beak that sticks out. It was a traumatizing moment, let me tell you that! In fact I didn't start easing up to characters until my first WDW trip when I was 9.

Bella has a lot of Disney trips ahead, so if she doesn't warm up this time, she will eventually. :cutie:

I wonder how much progress she made in getting it all put away. ;)

Hello everyone! I am finally back. The beach was great, but I spent the majority of the time being lifeguard, referee, housecleaner, and cook. Between my little ones, my 5 yo nephew and my 4 other teenage nephews, it was a mad house. We had a great time though. I really enjoyed spending time with my parents.
2 weeks!! So exciting! Can't wait to get updates. We are at 31 days until Hawaii. I am getting so anxious for it to be here, but I will be missing my boys. We will be away from them 10 nights including travel. When I get back I will only have around 50 days till Disney!!
Love the pics and chatter over the last 2 weeks. It took me an hour just to catch up!

You need a relaxing trip now. ::yes::
I know you will miss those sweet boys, though!

We're glad you could spend some time hanging out with us today.

I bet! It seems like winter goes on forever! The flowers always perk me up!

After today, I'll be happy with not screaming and looking in the general direction of the camera. We went to A Day Out with Thomas and I thought he would like Sir Toppem Hat. Nope..kept his head buried in Ben's shoulder the whole time!

This last winter was the longest one I can ever remember!

Poor guy. We don't know what the little ones are thinking in their sweet little heads when they see the characters.

Delurking momentarily to tell you this: I'm an adult. Seriously, I'm twenty-eight years old and have lots of scary thing happen in my life and costumed characters scare the poop out of me. After giving it lots of thought, I've decided that I get scared because I can't tell who they really are and they're very unnatural. To a little kid, they're huge and feel funny. They aren't made out of any material found in nature, in everyday clothes, or on stuffed animals. They smell weird too.

Okay. Back to lurking.:thumbsup2

:grouphug:....for Ms. Wig'd.

No one like the dreaded trip home, the unpacking and the putting away of the suitcases.

I can't wait to see all the shopping pics!!! :yay:
I hope she does a TR!

Back to work I go...gee "breaks" go by so fast...:sad2:

I like to tease Anita for all of her outstanding shopping qualities. What would we do if she didn't shop?

If Miss A. Wigd didn't shop, I for one would shop a whole lot less. (It's true I mostly window-shop, but still ... ) And what would we do if she didn't share her treasures? I get a vicarious shopping thrill from her souvie-spills after a trip. And you know I love your browsing/casing-the-joint photos, MeMom. Did you get that tip from Miss Anita's School of Enabling?

Can we text back and forth as it gets closer? I can PM you my number. Jill is making out the schedule, so I'll see what she's got down for the 6th.

Maybe we could hook up at the kiddie pool.

If I remember correctly, I have AK planned for this morning with a midday break for swimming and naps and then back to AK for the parade before heading back to the room to pack everything up and start loading the van.

Sorry Jen, no picture of my living room on FB. I've already started putting it away and sending gifts home with the recipients!

Oh my goodness, we brought so much loot home!

One more thing, if you are interested in reading along, Jen started the trip report, here's the link!

How was the whole Day out with Thomas as a whole? We thought about doing that with Caleb this year but the Polar Express did not go well. But then again the Polar Express was 2 hours long and around Caleb's bed time. at least the thomas ride is during the day and a short ride! Caleb will be 3 at the end of september

We started taking Baylor to Day out with Thomas when he was three and I think we did it for a couple of years after that.
He loved it!

True. We do not want to traumatize Bella by forcing characters on her. She'll come around in her own time, and when she does, she'll probably be quite a ham with them.

Feel free to delurk any time. It's a lot of fun when you join in and get to know people. We have met so many nice, nice people through these reports.

I read that there were shopping pictures taken today. I'll have to go over to the TR to see if she's posted them yet.

I know what you mean about breaks. The clock runs so much faster when my students are out of the room.

LOL I think those photos need to show up on FB!!!!

I'll check there, too.

Were we not just talking about this, like last week????

Are the Disney folks spying on us? ;)

She looks and buys.
I look and shoot. :goodvibes

I don't think I got my shopping weirdness from anyone. I have just always taken pictures of the cool merchandise.

If I remember correctly, I have AK planned for this morning with a midday break for swimming and naps and then back to AK for the parade before heading back to the room to pack everything up and start loading the van.

So we will probably be good for meeting up with them when they are hanging out at Pop after they arrive. Sounds good.

Do you want me to take a picture of my tiny little bottle of shells, sand, and water? :)

Seems like a fun activity for the 3-6 range.

Happy Father's Day to all of our awesome Disney dads! Thank you for being the good men you are in the lives of your kids. Being a dad is an honor, a privilege, and an incredible responsibility. I hope you cherish every day you spend making memories with your children.

How neat would it be to be in Epcot this beautiful Father's Day?

IMG_1720.jpg

Laura (ILuvXU) sent me a text from there earlier today. Luke was playing in the fountains near Test Track. I'm guessing maybe Dad and the girls were riding.

You know where this leads to.

Trying to get both girls to look at the same time is not always easy.

That's it for today. You guys have a nice rest of the evening!

Just dropping in to share my disappointment in a classmate. This classmate response to Were you surprised by the children's responses? "Not at all I work with children all the time and nothing amaze me anymore."

I was shocked to read that. I can't imagine how a teacher could work with children everyday and not be amazed by anything they do. I'm not a teacher yet but being around my DBF's nephews and nieces, and seeing Brooklynn and Bella grow and discover new things as well as all young children - how could I not be amazed? I wanted to share this disappointment with my teacher friends (and others who are parents) because I really don't understand it. :sad2:

I'll be back later tonight after I finish my discussion assignments

That picture of Bella & the seahorse is SO cute!

Your pictures remind me so much of the aquarium in Boston...only better. ;)

bella and the seahorse it way too cute! Caleb crashed on Nemo...must have found it either too boring or way too soothing. I am guessing the second one! LOL! I was really upset too because I had wanted to see Crush but they wouldn;t let us in with the stroller. Luckily we got to see it later in the week!

Owen LOVED it! And Hannah enjoyed it too. The Thomas ride was about 30 minutes plus they have lots of activities set up for the kids to do. Owen will turn 3 next month. We went last year as well. He loves (maybe obsessed is a better word?) Thomas, so he was a happy kid. I'll see if I can upload a couple of pictures. Wow, I didn't know Polar Express was that long...we were thinking about doing that in December, but if it is that long, we might wait a couple of years.

Edited to add pictures:

Bella is so cute hugging the seahorse goodbye! I love the Seas...such a fun place! Great picture of the girls with (in?) Bruce. I'm hoping to get a good shot of the kids to put in our Nemo bathroom (it's the kids bathroom).

Can't wait to see Seth on the Nemo ride. It's probably going to be one of the first stops we make on Saturday at EPCOT. Such a cute ride for the little ones! I don't know if we'll do Turtle Talk or not - depends on how the line is. He is too young to really understand the concept, but we will see. I'll definitely let him look at all the fish and other sea life, though! There's so many things in this trip I'm looking forward to b/c I'll be seeing them from a whole new view this time! :goodvibes

Loved the picture of Bella hugging the seahorse.
