Anyone know how to get a "cheaper rate" I called and was quoted $311/night with NO view (and they say that is the AP rate). Also I saw some rooms had bunkbeds, do they cost more????
I was going to say that sounds like a really good price! And, you might get upgraded. My mom and I went in April for two days and got up graded with a pool view both nights. I really want a DTD view. It looks like fun!

I had the DTD view the very first time I stayed at GCH, about seven years ago in December, because it was very last minute plan and they had some cancellations. We had a perfect view of the fireworks from our balcony, and it was great to look down on DTD, all decorated in holiday lights and bustling with activity. A perfect spot to bundle up and people watch! Last time we were there, December of 2007, we had a view of the two other Disney hotels and the valet parking/entrance area of Grand Californian. Not as exciting as the DTD view but a few bucks cheaper. I love that hotel and I wish I could stay there for every Disney holiday trip!
