Anyone eat there as a vegetarian? How does this work?

DDs and I are veg, and DH is not. I was wondering what the vegetarian choices might be (from other posts, Disney sounds very accommodating). And DH is worried that they are going to bring him piles and piles of meat (family style) that he doesn't want (since he's the only meat eater).

So, how does this work?

Thanks!

I have eaten there for both lunch and dinner, and they are very accommodating - though I never had a vegetarian option. But I don't eat some of the meats they supply, and I just request them to put them on another plate so others might eat them. Also, when you get your second (or third) helping, they ask what you want specifically instead of just bringing a plate full of future waste. So your husband can request just the meats he wants. And really, the portions are not that big for being "family-style".

Oh, I forgot to mention "Enjoy!" And make sure to let us know how the vegetarian option goes for you - I am really curious.

We ate there on Halloween Eve. I'm a vegetarian and DH will eat turkey and fried fish, but wouldn't have eaten the beef. When the waiter brought our salad, I asked for a veggie dish and got a nice butternut squash dish, and we let the waiter know not to bring beef and DH got a big helping of turkey and a few pieces of the fish. For seconds, we cherry-picked and asked for more of the things we liked best.

That's great to hear! That is exactly the experience that I needed to know.

I'm not good with the pics, but I'll report how it goes at Garden Grill.

Thanks for the help! Other experiences are appreciated.

I ate there with my vegetarian husband. I got a plate for one with the meat, veg and potatoes on, and DH got a butternut squash risotto. Both options were good.
