Hello!

Back in 2019 we booked breakfast at Garden Grill for 8:00am (when park was opening at 9am), and the staff ensured we were all done and downstairs in the queue for Soarin' at 8:40 so we could ride it before the park opened.
We are finally making the last few plans for a trip this September, does anyone know if this still happens?

Theoretically yes, but the hours show that they open at 8:30 so that's not early enough to enjoy your meal and get in line before a 9 AM opening (assuming Epcot isn't opening earlier). There is also the 30 minute early entry for resort guests to consider. You might check for earlier reservations, and if there are any I would think it would be fine.

Thank you! Honestly last time we chose it for breakfast purely for the early access to Soarin', wasn't too fussed about going back on this trip, but then they announced the new LL tiers so i thought it might be worth considering again 😂

Yeah, the PPO breakfasts ain't what htey used to be. They don't open them early enough. I think it's better to just use that onsite 30 minute extra and have a later breakfast once things start getting more crowded.

Soarin' isn't hard to get on early though and the line doesn't build until later. I have gone to Rope Drop Ratatouille, then did my Guardian's Boarding Group, then went over to Soarin' fo find it practically walk-on still. Since they have three theaters now too, it moves faster, though they may not be running all three first thing (they don't need to).

Agree with this - and for future trips with the new Lightening Lane Multi Pass (end of Genie) I think rope drop will be even more important. I moved all my early morning ressies to mid-morning.
