Like I said before, I'm a big TV game show fan. Have you or do you know someone who has ever been a contestant on any game show? If so:

1. What game show(s) were you / that person(s) on?, and in what year(s)?

2. What was the audition process(es) like?

3. How much in cash and / or prize(s) did you / that person(s) win? If not, did you receive consolation prize(s)?

4. What was the cast and crew like (host(s), hostess(es), model(s), announcer(s), celebrit(ies), contestant coordinator(s), etc.)?

5. What prize(s) did you / that person(s) win (if any, like car(s), vacation(s), furniture, etc.)?

6. What was it like being on television?

7. If you / that person(s) had to pay taxes on winnings (which I'm sure it's possible), how did you do it (had to forfeit it, sell prize(s), etc.), and what was it like paying taxes on winnings?

8. Did you / that person(s) have fun? (was the show too hard, any heartbreaking moment(s), were the celebrit(ies) funny (if necessary, like on "Match Game", "Password", "Pyramid", "Hollywood Squares", etc.),

9. What did you / that person(s) did with your / his or her winnings?

Plus, any other experience(s) you / that person(s) had on any game show(s) are welcomed in this thread (like was there a rehearsal game before the actual game show(s) got taped / aired, (if so, what was it like), what was the TV studio(s) like, etc.) and any other experiences you and / or that person(s) had on that game show

P.S. Sorry about the parentheses. It's just that you or more people might have been on more than one game show, won more than one prize, etc.

Wow...that was alot of questions..lol

All I know is a guy I went to high school with was on Price is Right quite a few years back...he won a trip to Japan...

Now, he is in toy design... he actually did the GND and Hef bobbleheads... guess he didn't need the Price is RIght to pay for his vacation....lol

Cool thing is tho..he's still a cool down to earth guy

My mom was on Concentration years ago. I think I was only 2 so that would be about 40 years ago!
She won a watch. (came in 2nd) I think there were only 2 contestants per show.
And I think she was on another one but I don't remember.

Oh and she has a friend that used to be a nun. She was on Bowling for Dollars!! Anyone??

My dad's ex-wife tried out for bunches of game shows and was not picked- they tried wheel and family feud. Didn't get either.

My FIL was on Hollywood Squares back in 1975. At that time he was the biggest winner they had ever had. The big ticket items he won was a car, a trip around the world, a grandfather clock and a ton of other stuff. My hubby's not home or I could go on and on listing it all.
