Laundrie's family attorney has made a statement that the remains are "highly probable" they are Brian's. That's reassuring for all. Hopefully a positive ID will 100% be confirmed today.

The wild speculation surrounding Brian's disappearance and his family's involvement is unbelievable. The Laundries didn't run to the media and give a daily update so folks made up their own stories. The Laundries were prudent...lawyered up and followed advice. We still don't know to what extent they cooperated with LE.

My opinion...many have been very cruel to the Laundrie family. They not only lost a son but appear to have loved Gabby too. This whole situation is heartbreaking.

We are not privy to the prior relationship between Gabby and Brian's parents. Direct involvement was probably not the best under the circumstances. I am sure they were advised against it. Anyone in their situation needs counsel. Their son was a person of interest in a homicide and they were the last to see him. And do we know they impeded the investigation or is that more speculation? There is a sad scenario in the Welsh news at the moment. It is alleged that a young teenager killed his much younger brother and that the parents, presumably to protect the teenage, hid the younger son’s body in a local river and then pretended that he had let himself out of the family home and become lost. Despite all the resources devoted to the search of Gabby & Brian, at least 4 other missing persons families have some closure.

I’m not amused by the subject but by the crazy conspiracy theories. There were people on Facebook who told others to stop posting about the bunker in case the laundries were reading Facebook and moved him to another location.

I read it as a simple reminder that we are all speculating -- which is good to keep in mind.

I’m not amused by the subject but by the crazy conspiracy theories. There were people on Facebook who told others to stop posting about the bunker in case the laundries were reading Facebook and moved him to another location.

I don't look at Facebook, but it's obvious from some of the conspiracy theories in the news that many people watch WAY too much TV.

Maybe it's the admonishing that seems to come across about "waiting for facts" stuff that has been brought up several times. Some lively discussions have occurred but most people get it's all just talk about the what ifs, we don't all agree on what those what ifs are but still. We're not ignorant to the concept that all that we're talking about is just talking.
