From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 5

We usually take one of those wine boxes with us. It elimates worrying about a bottle breaking. It fits well in our carryon.

Today I got a notice from the company that I ordered the Mexican shirt for my husband from that it is on back order until mid Jan!!!!!!!! I told them to cancel it.I need it before then. Does anyone have any suggestion where I can get one for about $20.

I bought a brand new one at a thrift shop for $2.50 in a size med. If anyone wants it. It is beige and very pretty. Let me know.

We made it home from our Dive trip last night. That was a wonderful family Christmas vacation with the grand kids. I so enjoyed taking them on a scuba dive at stingray city in Grand Cayman. We did a couple of shore dives as well. It is so nice to see a 10 yr old and a 13 yr old enjoy diving and learning about sea creatures. I am so blessed to be able to teach them to dive and to appreciate the oceans.
Now for a quick trip to Houston for a week and home 1 day to pack for the cruise! I didn't plan on going to Houston this week and am not near ready to pack for the cruise!

Well went to see Tangled at DTD yesterday. Great movie. But spent the rest of the time at Disneyland!!!! What a GREAT day it was. All the park guest were in a nice and friendly mood. Every Cast Member was saying Happy Holidays. Even the little old Man that bussed our table made a special effort to say something in broken english. So we answered back in Spanish. Man what a big smile he had after that!!!! We hit the Bakery for our Christmas breakfast goodies! (So much for no Carbs)
We went and had a picture with Santa and Pluto, checked out his Reindeer!!!
Watched the parade, I love to see Mickey & Minnie ice skate and give each other a kiss, in the parade. The fireworks and snow were so pretty last night. Wow!
My Son and I talked all day about the cruise, man the last 400+ days we have been waiting, has gone by so fast.
Thank you for all your information over the past many months. We have learned so much. It has been like having Penpals from all over the world all together at once. I can't wait to meet you!! Have a wonderful day.

I have made up most of the kits for the jewellery making workshops now and made some sample pieces. Here is what we are going to do:

I need to do the examples for workshop 2, but for today I have made enough jewellery. I finished the Fish Extender gifts as well.

I havent played in over 30 years (when did i get old enough that i can actually say that?!?!). without knowing what else is ongoing on the ship, what little special events or shows etc, i cant say when i'd want to play. can your room number or something be put on the program so we can call you tosee if a game is set up or something? that's my issue with all the activities -we dont cruise enough to want to skip many of hte cruise activities. i do want to meet y'all so i did sign up for meet and greet (and the wine was a big draw), but just dont know yet. it's just ther's so much to do i cant figure it all out and i'm excited to be cruising and meeting so many new people (i am starting to wear the bracelet tenya designed in WDW on jan 2!!) but just dont know what to sign up for!!

Hi all from the GCH Craftsmans Club ! In the last 24 hours, we've checked our of our Sydney hotel, spent 13 hours on an over-subscribed SYD to LAX flight, Super Shuttled to GCH, an spent 5 hours at Dl..... With no sleep ! I'm hoping we can last another couple of hours until bed, then get a great night's sleep tonight.

DL is insane this afternoon. Gorgeous day weather-wise, so every man and his dog are here.

Merry Christmas! We did get snow today in Atlanta - 1st White Christmas in ages.

Having arrived in the group only in the last couple of weeks, did I miss part of the thread where we talked about FE gifts? Was there a theme or anything we needed to know? We usually do a little 'cruise survival kit' for our FE gifts and deliver them early in the cruise.

Packing will begin tomorrow. Using the guest room as a staging area...want to get what we need in the suitcases now that we're caught up with and before we wear it again...

No Theme. No schedule. Just lots and lots of participants. Participating cabins are marked with a fish after their cabin number on the cruise website.
