We just stick ours in the same folder that the litho comes in. I don't think you really need a tube. We're signing up for 3 Ducky sessions.

Snow!! We're in a blizzard warning here until 6pm tomorrow. I just got the official call from work that we'll be closed tomorrow. I think it's a sign I should start working on my trip packing list. I really hope there's nothing like this again until after I leave for MCO! (Eek! That's in 10 days!!!!)

We actually saw the sun most of today.

Too bad my family had to share their cold with me so I couldn't enjoy it.

Only three and a half days of work, NYE Party, packing and then off for our trip of a lifetime!:woohoo:

There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffled me. What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas? This week, I found out.

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality, which the children could remember.

- The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.
- Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.
- Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.
- The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
- The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.
- The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.
- Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.
- The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.
- Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.
- The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.
- The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.
- The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.

So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol...so pass it on if you wish.'

Merry (Twelve Days of) Christmas Everyone :littleangel:

Barb :santa:

Thanks, Barb! I really appreciated this!

Thanks for all your hard work! This is so nice of you. One thing, not sure if you have my TxMermaid1 name on the tag but it is misspelled in the list. Thanks again and Merry Christmas.

This is hard work and a great "Thank You!"
I hope that the time will pass quickly. I normally work Christmas, but will have both Christmas and New Year off this year.

Corinna

No one deserves it more! Enjoy!!

I have seen two times for the Dream to arrive in Port Canaveral. Does anyone know for sure what the correct time will be?

I only know what I was told by Disney higherarchery and that was she had to be at the Pier at 4:00am to meet the Dream so take it from there.

We had a beautiful day yesterday with family and lots of good food. Full house, dogs & all. Then today my grandson's godson & his family came to visit and by the time they left I think my daughter was on overload. She was tired from yesterday with cooking for everyone and cleaning and the stress. I was tired from baking and just the stress this time of year is not not a good time for me period and it was not a fun afternoon so we will leave it at that!:headache:

It will soon be a new year and we have so many wonderful new adventures ahead of us to enjoy!:goodvibes

Oh, and by the way, it is snowing here in Summerville, SC!:sad2:

You can sign up for more than 1???? I did not know that. Is there a trick to it. Do you need three rooms?

What about game days on sea days? Just an idea maybe Bunco Yahtzee etc? Can beginners play Bunco?

I am happy to always have the Bunco down there at 10AM on Sea Days. I will stay around for about 15 mins or so to see if others show.

Yes, beginners can play! It is such a simple game. It takes jus a few minutes to learn and is fun by all. There is NO stratagy what so ever so as long as you can roll dice you are good to go!

Hey Brooklyn, Where in San Diego are you from? We live in Escondido and are right across the hall from you in Rm 6555.

We live near Qualcomm Stadium...."It's a Small World after all!" It will be great meeting you onboard!

On the TA we won one of Ducky's large sketches and DCL just gave us a really nice mailing tube. They also sell tubes because we bought them on previous cruises.

We have a Le Cellier reservation at 4PM for 4 people on Jan 4th that we will be canceling. I wanted to check and see if anyone here needed the reservation before I canceled it. Just PM me if you would like the reservation.

Well I just did the on line check in for our rooms at AKL. Did the newspaper and mail holds as well. Now it feels really close.

We are debating doing this. When you sign up for a private session is it just a sketch he draws for you? In black and white or color? Could you post a pick of the one you had done last time? Pretty please. :goodvibes

It looks like we may go to the Magic Kingdom on 1/5 so we can see the Electric Parade now that it's on the schedule, we've been missing it from DL/DCA.

At some point in the day I know I will be there on the 5th. I just know at 8:30 I need to be at 'Ohana.

Mail hold!! Thanks Alan!!

note to self - add this to this weeks list.:thumbsup2

Yes, thanks to Alan's reminder, I just set up my vacation holds on both newspapers and the mail AND while I was at it, scheduled all the bills to be paid on their due dates. Gotta love the internet for doing business on Sunday of a holiday weekend! Saves me time this week that I can use for finishing up FE gifts and packing. We leave a week from yesterday! YIKES, it's getting close!

We've mapped our WDW time out to take advantage of EMH and/or to see special events. Sunday: MK, Monday: DHS (last night of the Osborne Lights), Tuesday: Epcot, Wednesday: AK. Forecast seems to indicate rain for several of those days! Gee, after the week we've had here in Southern CA, it'll feel just like home!
