From the 80s thread...you will never guess what my DS came home with last night!

He came home from church with a Friendship Bracelet. Just like we used to make with the beads and the safty pins. I asked him what it was and he said a friendship bracelet A little girl in his church group made them and he thought they were neat. So I guess what goes around comes around huh

By the time the 80's rolled around, I was too old for friendship bracelets!

We had puka shells instead!

I'm young enough to remember friendship bracelets. They used to be such a PIA to make too. But getting and giving them was nice.

I dont remember bracelets with pins, but we did the friendship pins. They were safety pins with a few tiny beads on them and you would wear them on your shoelaces(preferably on your Nikes, LOL.
We also wore the puka shells, bracelets, anklets, necklaces, and earrings.

Duh.....color me stupid Its the pins I don't even know what I was talking about.....was there a friendship bracelet? It is where you take the beads and put them on a safty pin and wear it on your shoes, shirt etc.

I gues I thought bracelet because John-Cole had them on a rope around his wrist when he went to school this morning.
