Fun fireworks! I think you had the best seats in the house!

I'm so glad you were able to to go Brooklynn and Bella's grandparents day. That is so fun! We had ours a few weeks ago and it was crazy. Couldn't even walk down the hall.

Praying for Jarvis and his mom. It's so sad...brings tears to my eyes because I know what it is like to loose a parent.

Memom, Is that yellow Pooh shirt a kids shirt or an adult shirt and was it in the Pooh store at DTD? I like it, of course they probably won't have one in Dec. anyway.

The macadamia nut pralines are my favorites of all Disney candies! YUM!!!

Very cute picture of Brooklynn and her frozen drink and Bella taking a sip!
The picture of John, Jill and the girls on the log is really good too!

The seating part was the one drawback, as it was a standing room only situation. After a little while, Bella and I went into the lounge, where there was water and wonderful seating. The view was perfect, but best for adults or those with children who could stand for a while and stay in one place.

I enjoyed going to Brooklynn's and Bella's classes and visiting with them. Brooklynn wanted a dozen books, of course! She had fun going from rack to rack doing her shopping. She also was quite fond of the cookies and brownies.

We'll keep you posted on Jarvis. For now, he's back here.

Great updates. Love all the cute pics. Treats looked yummy!

They all look so good, but I'm so cheap that it hurts deeply to pay NINE bucks for an apple! :upsidedow

We will look again when we go and let you know the price and the SKU number. You can call Disney Merchandising and have them send it right to you. If you want to give us your number, we can even take a picture and let you know something about how it is sized, etc. That's up to you.

I love macadamia nuts! I will treat myself every once in a while and make pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. :)

Bella is now beginning to taste sips of things other than water and milk. Like me, she's a water girl for the most part, but occasionally likes a sip of 'joo' or whatever someone else has. A lot of times, she will turn up her nose at whatever she tastes and request water, but she seemed to like that Coke slush. Like most kids, Brooklynn likes anything blue. :goodvibes

*********************************

Even after working off and on all day yesterday, there is still much to do. After church this morning, I think I am going to go see if Michael's is up and running. They were revamping it last time I tried to go by there. They used to carry the realistic plastic animals, so I am hoping they might have some rainforest animals. Later, I will go by the school for a while to help put together a rain garden.

This time next week, we'll be getting ready to go to Animal Kingdom. :tigger:
I wish I could have three days in Animal Kingdom, (and three in each of the other parks, too ;)) but I will make the most of the one we have.

Hope you all have a beautiful autumn Sunday!

Please don't revoke my DIS membership but I've actually never been into Goofy's Candy Co. :scared1: Maybe next time... lots of good treats in there, it looks like!

A rainforest unit sounds like fun. And always nice to bring a dose of Disney into the class!

Enjoy your Sunday!! :)

Minnie seems to be channeling her inner Scarlett O'Hara with her "Tower of Tara." :lmao:

I am always ready for shopping pictures especially when they include a stop at Goofy's!

Can't believe your trip is so close!!!

Glad I had just finished breakfast before looking at the last group of pictures; yummy!

I would say both Rain Forest gift shops at DTD & AK are about the same size.

Great DTD pics!! I love the red, white & blue apples.

goofy's candy store is not a good place to try to get rid of snack credits! LOL! My mom and I spent a lot of time in there trying to decide all what to get (she had that many credits left) we got a lot and boy was it good! We decided there were too many choices because we could not just choose one!

They all look so good, but I'm so cheap that it hurts deeply to pay NINE bucks for an apple! :upsidedow

I saw those apples last night and asked Clay if he wanted to see what a $9.00 apple looked like. He wasn't impressed.

I showed him a few more of the pictures and he asked me where it was. I told him it was Goofy's Candy Co. at DTD. If we took the girls there, Alison would spend all her spending money and use up all her snack credits here. That girl has a serious sweet tooth! There were a few things I wouldn't mind having myself!

Glad to hear that Jarvis's Mom is doing better and will continue to pray for her.

Morning all!

My heart breaks for Jarvis. I will pray for his Mom. :grouphug:

I do not know what I would do without my DMom, she is my everything! ;)

It's our Thanksgiving here in Canada. (yeah...two days off in a row...:woohoo:)

I'm thankful for my family, DIS-friends, job and health...and Walt Disney! :goodvibes

My day will include a trip to the "new" Super Wal Mart....very excitting!
It is the second one in our city and this one is much closer to me.
Now if we can just get Target into Canada I will feel complete...and get our Disney store back!

We may go to the orchard to pick up some apples and cider.

Turkey and the fixings will be tomorrow. I will make pecan pies for my kids and my DMom will make pumpkin pies for us. Yummy!

I have to decorate a vanilla haunted house (like a gingerbread house) for a display in the store.

:dance3: WOW, your trip is less than a week away! Are you doing the happy packing dance! :dance3:

Even a short trip is awesome....better than no trip at all!

We are there in 83 sleeps...not that I'm counting...:lmao:

Wonderful update as always! Love the pics from Downtown Disney!

Will pray for all of our DisFriends and their families needing them right now. :flower3:

I can't wait to read about your upcoming adventures in Disney! :surfweb: We are also heading to Florida in 16 days, but no Disney for us this time. :scared1: As much as I want to make the 3 hour drive with my kids, my dh is freaking out about me with the kids by myself for the overnight trip. My Mom and I are planning on coming down for another trip to WDW for a long weekend to see my brother at another time, just don't know the date yet. Could be a year from now- who knows. So for now, I'll have to wait for that. Just sad that I am going to be 3 hours from one of my favorite places in the world and can't be there.:sad1: Still thinking about it though... :rolleyes1

Better get going. I have a photo session with one of my favorite clients in just a little bit! :cool1: This will be my 6th session in the past 10 days! Then I get 5 days off before I start a few more! My busy season, that's for sure! But I do love it!

That is a bit pricey! but sometimes you gotta say, "What the heck and go for it!" LOL!!!:lmao::rotfl2: You just have to decide which sweet thing you want the most. Those pretzels in Norway look good and Dole whips at MK are always good.:thumbsup2 I hear the Grey Goose slushies are good too. I have a list of things to try! :)

Hope you are enjoying this nece beautiful day as well. After last weeks massive rainfall, we had a few nice cool days. Today, we are back up in the 80's! I was hoping that fall had arrived, but I was wrong! It didn't take long for us to dry out, we even had to turn our sprinkers back on.
I love Brooklyn's haircut!

Pictures? Well, okay, if you insist.

Since you never take any!:lmao::rotfl2: I do like to look at your pics and can't wait to see the Halloween decorations. I've never made during the Halloween season.

Fourth of July was a fun day and night. I keep checking my district's website for next year's calendar to see if we'll be there the 4th or more towrd the end of July next summer, but it's still not up.

Or 4th of July! All times to be added to my list. The Voices of Liberty looked like fun.
:)

Hey everybody! We got back yesterday from our Disney trip. I have several pics, but I'm no MeMom. lol I was very busy helping Samantha with Ty so I took some when I could. When Sarah arrived a few days later she took over the camera so that helped some. It was a great trip. Ty slept on the plane to and from Disney. That was the one thing I was sweating about. I didn't know how we were going to keep him entertained for 2 hours on a plane.
The weather was beautiful, no rain. It was a little cool to swim very long for those of us from the south, but the people we talked to from the north were complaining about how hot it was. :)
I had my first Dis Meet. It was great meeting Poolrat. We meet at the fast pass area of Soarin. I was trying to keep up with Ty while everyone else was riding. I wish I'd had more time to visit with her but Ty was not cooperating. Ty deceided to teeth while we were there and was hurting and not eating much. But, after we gave teething tabs , oajel, Motrin he felt better.
I may do a mini trip report. I'll have to see how good my pics are first. Can't wait to go back. Most likely for a solo trip.

Please don't revoke my DIS membership but I've actually never been into Goofy's Candy Co. Maybe next time... lots of good treats in there, it looks like!

We'll just put your DIS membership on probation and give you a chance to remedy that issue. It's a fun place, and food always makes a good souvenir for those that are hard to buy for. :)

I hope to get some cool stuff at the gift shop at Rafiki's and at Rainforest Cafe. I wish we had more AK time, but next Sunday for one day is all we have, so I have to make the most of it.

Minnie seems to be channeling her inner Scarlett O'Hara with her "Tower of Tara."

I am always ready for shopping pictures especially when they include a stop at Goofy's!

Can't believe your trip is so close!!!

It was unknown at the time if Brooklynn would really go for it. ;)

I have never gotten one of the big 'fun' cups with a slushie in it. I always think they are cute, but I have not yet bought one.

I have a busy week at school, but I really do have to start thinking about packing.

Glad I had just finished breakfast before looking at the last group of pictures; yummy!

The fudge is so sweet; I can only take tiny nibbles. I kept a piece of it in the freezer one time and pulled it out every so often and cut a piece off. It lasted forever, until I finally threw it out. I am tempted by the apples. Wonder if I could get the girls to share one with me this time?

I would say both Rain Forest gift shops at DTD & AK are about the same size.

Great DTD pics!! I love the red, white & blue apples.

I might check out the DTD one, then. I have been in the AK one many times, but at the DTD one I have just taken pictures from the outside.

goofy's candy store is not a good place to try to get rid of snack credits! LOL! My mom and I spent a lot of time in there trying to decide all what to get (she had that many credits left) we got a lot and boy was it good! We decided there were too many choices because we could not just choose one!

I hear so many people say they spend their last morning trying to use up their snack credits. I have not done the Dining Plan, but I know I would have almost every snack credit left, because we rarely, rarely get desserts.

I saw those apples last night and asked Clay if he wanted to see what a $9.00 apple looked like. He wasn't impressed.

I showed him a few more of the pictures and he asked me where it was. I told him it was Goofy's Candy Co. at DTD. Out here in real world, I might spend five dollars on an apple for a school charity or something, but nine!

Goofy's is fun to look around in, but I don't buy too much. That sugar straw thing Brooklynn had - I think that's the one she took about one 'sip' of and that was it.

My heart breaks for Jarvis. I will pray for his Mom.

I forget that you guys do Thanksgiving the month before us. Enjoy your time off! Thanksgiving is a wonderful low-key holiday. I love just doing nothing for a few days.

It's nice to read your comment about your mom. I hope my kids like me as much. I know for a fact that they are my world.

Ooooh, it would be really hard to be so close and not get to go. ::yes:: I was talking to a lady at church this morning who is headed to Gatlinburg this week. I wish it would work out for us to ride up there one day in December.

It has been nice here. The kids come in with coats in the mornings, but there is no need to put them on at dismissal.

I'm good with 4th of July again, if we need to do that, but if we can be there on my birthday, I'd be happy with that, too. I just have to wait for the calendar, and they say it may be December before it comes out.

********************************

One week from right now, if all goes well, we will have spent the day at Animal Kingdom. :dance3: Not sure about the evening - maybe to the Boardwalk or maybe over to Pop to meet our cousins when they arrive.

Our other cousins (sister and family of ones that are coming next week) that are down there now have had a good time, except for each of the boys got sick. Dean just got a little sick, but Kemper got pretty sick, and they ended up going to a walk-in clinic. Kemper is thin, anyway, and they were afraid he was going to get dehydrated. They gave him something, and all is well. I look forward to hearing about their take on things, since they are not Disney people.

I am glad you were able to meet Poolrat. She is a lucky girl to get to go so often.

We'll be happy to see all of your pictures, no matter how many that might be.

Solo as in completely solo or meeting other girl friends down there? I think I could only go truly solo for two days - one day for walking around Epcot and one day for Animal Kingdom. After that, I would want my people with me. :)

More Downtown Disney.

The next stop was Once Upon a Toy.
