Yeah, that's why I've never let them play, I figured I'd already spent a big $ figure to get there, I didn't want to shell out more for carnival games. I think they should do away with the prize and just let everyone play the games for fun with no charge

Either that, or a dollar a game and keep the thrill of the cheesy prizes. $2.50, however, is too much.

What a trilling update. Yeah for Brooklynn riding another thrill ride. I don't blame her for not wanting to do it again, it's too loud. Bella was so sweet checking out the dinos.

Danielle and Dennis love the games in Dinoland. They waste way too much money every time we go. Michelle is okay with playing once but the others just keep playing. I use that time for a potty break.

You think if we all stopped playing for one year - a total boycott - they'd lower prices? :upsidedow

I love that idea!!!

Those carnival prizes are a big deal to some, though. You know the day will come when Henry will long for the chance to win his very own purple octopus.

Brooklynn pretend-played this game for free.

A lot of people don't like this area, but if you know the backstory, it is exactly right for what it is supposed to be. We don't spend much time here, but the 'tackiness' is perfect for what the Imagineers planned, and we like it just fine.

A pin from the kiosk.

I'd like to stay there someday. Jill and John stayed there on either their honeymoon or an anniversary, but I have only visited and eaten there.

And the fact that Chester and Hester are from the south (note the y'all) makes me have to be loyal to my prehistoric southern carnival friends enough to check them out briefly almost every trip. It's not an every time thing, but usually.

We headed to Chester and Hester's Dinosaur Treasures, a place that is 'erupting with gifts'.

Brooklynn added Simba and Nala to her plush family while we here. She had been wanting them for a long time.

A couple more pictures from Dinoland before we left this area.

We're probably some of the few people who have been 'to the end of the earth'.

Pretty cool, huh? :)

We like the tacky roadside carnival feel of Dinoland, too! We seem to end up there every trip since my family likes Primeval Whirl!

I love the Dinoland photos! We always run out of steam by the time we get over there. I am really wanting to try it all this year. I showed the boys your shopping photos and they were very excited about both the potatoes and Dumbo. If one of those two is coming to our house, I am piicking the potatoes. I can just imagine trying to stop Aileen from eating Dumbo!

Love the Dinoland photos! I've actually never made it over there. I'll have to try to check it out next time. That store looks kitschy and cool!

That is a really great store for kids. So much to see and want. I'm glad Brooklynn walked out with some treasures.

I love the Dumbo lego set!! I have never seen it before. Did you see how much it was. I lve the lion king plushes. I cannot find our lion king movie. It is not in its case and I have searched everywhere. I may bite the bullet and buy it again.:headache:
I also like Dinoland. The first two times I went to AK it was night extra magic hours and that place is really fun then. It feels like a carnival.

Hi Everyone... So I just wanted to let you know that IM MARRIED :)

We are leaving for our Honeymoon today... going to Greece.. I know I am going to have so much to catch up on when I get back... considering I am only on page 115.

The wedding was truely magical. I will make sure to post pics when I get back...

We love Dinoland. My DS was loved dinosaurs when he was little... probably secretly still does.

So glad Brooklynn got to ride Dinosaur! Love the picture of her at the height requirement sign...:thumbsup2 Very cute.

As far as the games go....those games are overpriced at every fair and every amusement park. Before I got married (you know waaaay back when) this guy took me to the fair and he started playing some midway game; he wanted to win me a prize. He kept playing, and losing and he kept shelling out money. In the end he finally won me a stuffed banana for about $45. Crazy! :rotfl2:

I love the picture of Brooklynn pretend playing "Whack A Mole". She looks like she is was really into it and having a great time.

I've decided I want that Dumbo building set for my birthday! How freaking cool is that? I love it!

congrats!!!! have a fabulous honeymoon!

I also like the "tacky" dinoland themeing. It is a fun atmosphere. Brooklynn was very brave to try Dinosaur. It scared my brother the first time he rode it and he was grown.:rotfl: Brooklynn made a good choice of stuffed animals. Simba and Nala are so cute. Does Bella loved stuffed animals like Brooklynn?

The Dumbo lego set is awesome. I always enjoy going to Dinoland, I like the carnival vibe it gives off. Too funny of Brooklynn pretending to play whack a mole.

Congrats snowbell! Enjoy Greece!

That Dumbo lego set is supercute!!!!! I still want the Disney snack food set that you posted in your last TR!! :thumbsup2

Congratulations Snowbell and have a wonderful time in Greece!! :bride:

I love Dinoland! I think it's so fun, and the back story just makes it even better. I remember the first time Joe and I went through here, we didn't really understand why it was there and why it was SO different from the rest of the park, but we thought it was cute - and full of really cool details. Plus, where else can you got to the end of the earth? I'm excited to take a spin in a dinosaur in 2 days!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! :yay:

I think you have to be 48 inches for Primeval Whirl, so Brooklynn hasn't gone on it yet. I have only ridden it once. It always seems to be crowded when I go by.

I bet the Dumbo thing has a bazillion pieces to it!

Yes, you need to see it for yourself. It's very detailed.

Yep, lots of toys there. :goodvibes

I didn't price the Dumbo set. Maybe Brook or Leslie can tell you, if they see it on their upcoming trips.

Lion King and Beauty and the Beast tie for my top Disney movies.

I know it was beautiful! Can't wait to see Greece pictures!

He spent $45 for a banana for you, and you didn't marry him???

She had just as much fun for free as she did for $2.50. ;)

I've decided I want that Dumbo building set for my birthday! How freaking cool is that? I love it!

Can you check on the price while you are there and let 999ghostslover know?

and the fact that y'all is spelled/punctuated correctly just makes me happy.

They could have said you'uns, too. That's some pretty southern country speak!

I'll defer to Jill on that one. I don't see her as being as into them as Brooklynn, but she may play with them at home more than I know. She loves balls, balls, balls!

With some of my students, I feel like I play Whack a Mole all day at school. :upsidedow

I hope they still have them when you get there to get a set. :)

I know you guys are beside yourselves with excitement! :cool1:

I'd like to stay there someday. Jill and John stayed there on either their honeymoon or an anniversary, but I have only visited and eaten there.

My mom and I stayed there on my surprise trip when I was 9. I don't remember much about it, except for my traumatic experience when I lost my Tigger stuffed animal :rolleyes1

Awww! I love that Thumper!

Only one more day before the long weekend! Do you have Friday off? I don't know if that's just a New England thing. Ever since we started going back to school before Labor Day, we get Friday and Monday off.

Bella is more into baby dolls than stuffed animals. Brooklynn has always loved stuffed animals and wasn't super interested in baby dolls. Just another difference between my opposite girls.

I was going through clothes for the fall to see what I needed to buy for the girls. I pulled out the box of shoes because I remember Brooklynn wearing a really cute pair of brown boots to the pumpkin patch when she was 14 months old so I thought they would be perfect for Bella at 18 months. Bella currently wears a size 3 shoe with plenty of room to wiggle her toes and those shoes were a size 5. That just goes to show you the huge physical difference between them.

I was doing the same thing today! I went through one of Hollie's containers trying to find these cute shearling pink boots for Hannah to wear. Well....the boots are 3 months and poor Hannah can't get her foot in it!! We took her for her 1 month check up and she is already 11 lbs and 12 ounces!! A big healthy girl!! lol

By the way...

We go to Disney NEXT MONTH!!!!!!

Yay!!!!!!!!! I know you guys are excited!!
