Brooklynn was so funny when we got off the ride. She said she didn't like it because "The girl behind me was screamin' like a ninny!" (said in the sassiest southern voice)

:rotfl: Oh too funny!

I love Dinoland.
I usually get in a fit of giggles now when I ride Dinosaur.
I will forever remember this picture
AkDinosaurhearspeakseeridecloseup12.jpg

We are in the back row. Yes we ( I ) decided we would do that just for giggles.

:rotfl2: Love it!

When Joe and I are able to ride together again I'll have to remember to tell him to do scared or silly faces...usually I'm no problem - despite knowing exactly what the ride is going to do, I'm screaming already.

Julie, Claire is just so precious!!! I think a Disney cruise would be a lot of fun!

MeMom, I am very relieved to know there are snacks available while your family is getting eaten by dinosaurs. LOL!

Poor Brooklyn looks like she might not have loved Dinosaur all that much! :goodvibes

We always do scared faces or silly faces when we get our picture taken. The family that rode behind us was so excited that we made scared faces. They said normally they get people just sitting there.

Brooklynn was so funny when we got off the ride. She said she didn't like it because "The girl behind me was screamin' like a ninny!" (said in the sassiest southern voice)

LOL!! Oh man, I would love to hear Brooklyn say that!

I can't wait to get these girls together so we can hear those sweet southern voices! :lmao:

I guess that lady in the front row almost got our picture censored. :rotfl2: Flash Dinosaur!

The only one where I still have to perfect a pose is Space Mountain. I rode with 2 girls who had the greatest pose of both of them with their hand on their chin and just a picture perfect pose like they would make you do in school and facing the camera. I wish I had my camera to take a photo of it but I missed it.

Hopefully I will have a 16 year old along this trip willing to "play " a little.
A few weeks ago I would have said yes, but this week I am not so sure. Hopefully it will flip again and we will not be trying to survive a hurricane or spending all our time in the airport.:scared1:

We are in the same boat - I leave on Thursday, so I'm safe...but DH leaves on Friday. :scared1: Earl needs to GO AWAY, I want my hubby in Disney!

YAY for Brooklynn conquering Dinosaur!!! That ride picture is awesome!! Glad they didn't get eaten!!

Bella is too cute in her stroller checking out the gift shop! Thankfully no shoes were eaten by dinosaurs!! Loved that little girl's hat!!

OOOH time in Dinoland is always a lot of fun!! YAY for Brooklynn coming in second!!!

Whew! Glad the family made it out without getting eaten by those nasty dinos! I don't blame Brooklyn for not wanting to ride it again - I never even want to ride it the first time

Just curious, how much are those midway games? I've always told the boys no without even checking.......

Great update! Brooklynn is so brave to going on Dinosaur! I may have hidden under Ben's arm when we went on that ride.

Hannah did indeed sleep in this weekend. She woke up Friday with pinkeye and now has a fever to go with it. Ugh! She's already missed 2 days of school and her first dance lesson of the year. I'm really ready for everyone at my house to be healthy!!

Sorry to hear she has started off the school year being sick. I hate that she missed her dance lesson, too. Maybe she can get healthy and get into a good routine soon.

oh oh and you would probably have to take 75 to get to MI and we are not far off 75 in NW Ohio!! Just saying since the last time Jill was in Ohio it did not work out for us to meet!

If we can ever quit going south, we may make it up north. ;)
Every time I have a dime to spare, I seem to go south.

Great video and love the Chester/Hester pics.

Jill- I am not getting between you and MeMom re hiding out. I can do snacks for 4 more or 2- let me know what you decide.

I know a lot of people don't like Chester's and Hester's area, but I like the backstory about the whole place, and I like every section of Disney World for what it is meant to be.

Thank you! I know it'll be a fun year

Yes it was!!! We had been talking about going to another Sox game this year but I thought they were all sold out. It'll be a nice treat after my first week of school and my mom's first week at work after vacation

That last update reminded me of my Animal Kingdom DIS meet with Meg. One of the dinosaurs on Triceratop Spin wasn't flying. He was just stuck on the ground. It was so sad

I didn't even pay any attention to what all the other dinos were doing when we were spinning. I was just so wrapped up in watching the girls enjoy it. I probably miss a lot of things going on around me because of them. :upsidedow

Hope the week flies by for you so that you can get to the fun things!

I like the way you think lady!

ADORABLE! I love those little legs...and how ladylike to have them crossed.

Great Dino update! I remember when Henry was little and just fascinated with the dino toys in that gift shop....I bet we'd now have a hard time getting out of there without him wanting at least one!

Brooklynn is so brave to ride Dinosaur - the picture from the ride is great! Jill looks like she's really screaming and both Momma and Daddy are protecting Brooklynn from the big scary dinosaur.

I can only imagine how much those games are at Chester and Hesters. They seem to be quite the upscale type of road-side carnival.

Have you taken Henry to do a Build-a-Dino at T-Rex? That would be a very special dinosaur for him.

The games were $2.50, I believe.

I love Dinoland.
I usually get in a fit of giggles now when I ride Dinosaur.
I will forever remember this picture

We are in the back row. Yes we ( I ) decided we would do that just for giggles.

Can't imagine grown-ups acting so silly. :rolleyes1
It's like you become kids again when you go to Disney World. ;)

I think I'm all caught up now This trip looks like it was such a wonderful time for your family. I'm looking forward to hearing about the rest of it

We did have a good time. We went to parks in short spurts and left when we were tired. We had lots of family time and down time and alone time and one-on-one with the girls time. It worked out very nicely.

loved the dino pictures. brooklynn is so brave for facing all those ferocious beasts!!!

julie - she's such a doll! love the pictures. thanks for sharing!

check out the kid in the front row. he's hiding under his mom/grandma/aunt/friend/unsuspecting stranger's arm and her shirt is almost coming off because of it!

I think it will be quite a while before she goes back on Dinosaur. Maybe in a couple of years she'll be ready to try again.

I"m sure that kid does know her, but it is pretty common for complete strangers to grab at you in this ride.

Fun update from Dinoland!
Brooklynn is such a thrill ride gal!
So happy she came out uneaten....

I agree those carnival games are expensive and Baylor is such a sucker for them.
I don't think he'll ever learn.

Julie, baby Claire is just beautiful!

Pat, your picture is a hoot! You all in the back row and the poor lady in the front!

She really was the thrill ride girl this time. ::yes::

One game was it for her. She fake-played another one.
There is no way they should be charging $2.50 for those games. $1.00 a game seems more reasonable.

Aw..Brookie made it on Dinosaur! That is one ride Little Guy wanted to do and I definitely knew he would NOT like it at all! Love the ride pic!

Haha, Bella doesn't look too sure about those dinos!

Brooklynn did not chicken out. She did it! :cool1:

Bella probably enjoyed the gift shop more than Brooklynn enjoyed the ride.

Oh too funny!

Love it!

When Joe and I are able to ride together again I'll have to remember to tell him to do scared or silly faces...usually I'm no problem - despite knowing exactly what the ride is going to do, I'm screaming already.

Yes, you guys need to do silly faces. Too bad Henry doesn't know Trent. Trent could come over and take him to play in the gift shop while you guys ride Dinosaur together. If we are ever there at the same time, maybe we could talk Henry into hanging out with Bella and me with the friendly dinos while you guys all ride and act silly.

She liked that she did it, because she felt like a big girl, but she did not love the ride.

LOL!! Oh man, I would love to hear Brooklyn say that!

I can't wait to get these girls together so we can hear those sweet southern voices!

Less than two weeks now!

It is fun to look at people's different poses.

I hope the weather clears up some.

Maybe the weather gods will be kind to you all. :goodvibes

I'm pretty sure Bella was trying to figure out what animal that was. She knows dog and kitty, but she wasn't too familiar with dinosaur.

Brooklynn enjoyed playing the game, and I steered her another way before she realized the other little girl was getting a prize. She was happy just to play, but if she had seen the prize part, she probably would have wondered why she didn't get one, too. I'm not sure she would really understand the 'only one person gets a prize' concept at her age.

Whew! Glad the family made it out without getting eaten by those nasty dinos! I don't blame Brooklyn for not wanting to ride it again - I never even want to ride it the first time

$2.50, I think. Too much. You have paid a ton to get in the park. One dollar would be better. More little kids could play and have fun in that area. Your boys would enjoy the games, but it would be expensive to play more than just a couple of games each.

Morning MeMom.

I too love the Chester and Hester area (well except for paying for all the games that Declan wants to play. ;)). Dinosaur is one of my favourites so I'm glad Brooklynn liked it.

Have a good day.

Perhaps March! :goodvibes Henry would have a ball with Bella (and Brooklynn too!). And Joe loves to ride the thrill rides with me because I'm so dramatic during them with all my screaming - he just laughs and laughs at me. It could be really fun to get Jill, John, Brooklynn, Trent and crew, and Joe and I all in ONE car for a picture. :rotfl2: That could be a very fun meet!

I just hate that the dates fall so that Brooklynn's ticket expires while we are there. She gets the first two days, but after that, she has to pay. I can buy a 4 day for just a few dollars more than a 3 day, but I just hate for Jill to pay so much for a 2 day for Brooklynn, knowing we can't stay in Magic Kingdom very long Tuesday, if we go. It's just not worth the $1 discount for her to pay $73 to go into Magic Kingdom for like 3 hours, so I think just buying her a one day to cover Monday and me getting a three day to cover Sa-Su-M will be the best thing to do. By the time we sleep in, which for us means 7-8, go to DTD for a while, then come back and do some water time, maybe with our cousins coming over, and hopefully see Trent a little more, if he gets a break, we should have a plenty busy day.

That is really a bummer about Brooklynn and yours tickets ! I think your idea of just paying for the days needed and then making the last day a rest day is a very good idea , I'm sure you could spend plenty of time at DTD, Pool and visiting :thumbsup2

Nice update :thumbsup2

Adorable picture of Brooklynn giving the thumbs up for height !

Nice gift shop pictures , looks like you and Bella had a great time looking around :goodvibes

Brooklynn is so cute in the ride picture with her little face hidden , I'm guess fright might have had a little bit to do with why she didn't want to ride again :confused3

Can't wait to see where you end up next popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

What a fun update :goodvibes Happy that everyone made it out unscathed!! Such a cute picture of Bella with those big teeth of the dinosaur near her tiny foot!! :cutie:
Wow such determination on Brooklynn's face playing the game!! I have never stopped to play any....I prefer to save up my skills for TSM and Buzz!! :rotfl2:

Tracy

That would be a photo I'd love to see!!

Doug is talking about riding Dinosaur this trip. We'll make sure to ham it up!

I am so excited to take Abby on Dinosaur. We missed it last time because I was pregnant. When I went a few days past my due date (I always do) I told Tom that we should head down to AK and ride Dinosaur to induce labor. It is one of my favorite queues.

I think it's so cute when they are started to sit up for a little bit, then they sway over and crash into the pillows. She's a little doll, Julie! I hope to see her in person one of these days. :cutie:

Is that your puppy in the back? What does he/she think of Claire?

A Disney cruise would be cool. People who have been on them give them rave reviews. What made you think of changing to that?

I hope you get to see Claire in person one of these days, too! I hope she gets to meet Brooklynn and Bella also so they can teach her the Disney way!

That is my puppy in the back. Both of the dogs generally keep their distance from her. It seems like they understand that they need to be careful around her. Yesterday, however, the puppy in the picture licked her face for the first time. She had just had some green beans and I think he wanted a taste!

The reason we're thinking of changing to a Disney cruise is that I know my husband will not be okay with going to Disney World 2 years in a row, so I'd rather go when Claire is 2 and a little more able to enjoy things at WDW. DH is all about the Disney Cruise, so I'm in the beginning stages of planning!

You could surely spend a good bit of money on the games. Luckily, there aren't that many of them, but if you did them more than once, it could get costly. Some people keep going and going just to win a prize.

As long as Henry is good with being left with a stranger. Maybe you should show him all my many pictures on the trip report so that he will know who I am before he stays with me. :upsidedow It would be fun to fill an entire car with only people you know. ::yes::

It's so different not having an Annual Pass. I'll be happy when I have one again.

Trent is looking forward to taking the weekend off just to hang out at the pool, eat, see us, etc. He's fine without a park.

Tracy

I'm not a big game player, so I mostly take pictures on those rides. If I did try to play, I'd probably set a record for the lowest score ever!

That would be a photo I'd love to see!!

You are getting a double dose of Disney, and it is husbnd approved?!?!? That's awesome! :yay:

Yeah, that's why I've never let them play, I figured I'd already spent a big $ figure to get there, I didn't want to shell out more for carnival games. I think they should do away with the prize and just let everyone play the games for fun with no charge :thumbsup2

What a trilling update. Yeah for Brooklynn riding another thrill ride. I don't blame her for not wanting to do it again, it's too loud. Bella was so sweet checking out the dinos.

Danielle and Dennis love the games in Dinoland. They waste way too much money every time we go. Michelle is okay with playing once but the others just keep playing. I use that time for a potty break.
