Ladies....Hope your weekend is going great!!!:cheer2::cake::bday:party:

So that picture of the Saloon practically caused a flashback to my childhood so I am guessing that I was in there once. Next time I go back I am going to check it out!!!

Good morning, friends! We are having a nice weekend together. Yesterday. our friend, Kay, brought her granddaughter over and had lunch with us. The girls enjoyed playing with the kitchen, dolls, stroller, fake food, etc.

After Bella got an afternoon nap, we met another family friend at my school when we took a few things down there. She had her dog, Jack, and a friend's dog, Pixie, with her. The girls enjoyed following them around my classroom while we talked. Bella squealed with delight that the little puppy want to play. She wants to play with our cat so badly, but he will have nothing to do with children, so she was glad for this little puppy who came right up to her and licked on her.

In the evening, we cooked hamburgers and just hung around the house. It stormed here. I played with the girls and watched Pete's Dragon with Brooklynn. Jill read a Kingdom Keepers book that her boss had given her. Just for you information, a 64 pack of Crayola crayons can keep a toddler happy for almost an hour. Bella poured the whole box out, then put some of them back in, then poured them out, then just picked them up and dropped them countless times for almost an entire hour. She was in her own Crayola world - quiet as a mouse and quite content.

Again, I thank you all for your nice birthday wishes. Brooklynn did make a cake yesterday, and she made sure it had plenty of sprinkles. I am hoping next year it will work out for us to take a late vacation and be in Disney World again at this time, but we'll have to consult the school calendar whenever it comes out for next year.

I hope you have all enjoyed your root beer floats. Now it's time for the parade!

Pre-parade entertainment.

I know I am a kid at heart, because I love Disney parades. Cowgirls dance with aliens, and ducks and apes wave as they go by. Princes show off their princesses, and princesses show their beauty. Villains 'mix and mingle', and classic Disney characters make us smile just with their presence. I know a lot of people take advantage of parade time for short lines at rides, and that is okay, too. As for me, I like a Disney parade.

Have a wonderful Sunday with family and friends, everyone!

I just edited a post in my TR to send readers over here if they want to see all the delightful photos you took!!!!! I didn't get hardly any! But your vantage was much better!!! So nice to remind myself this morning!!!! :goodvibes I love a good parade when everyone else in the house is still asleep!!! :goodvibes

Enjoy your Sunday, too!

Glad to hear your having a great Birthday weekend :goodvibes

Nice Parade pictures ! The colors are very pretty .

Love the close-up of Miss Piggy & Kermit

So glad you are having a good Birthday weekend. :thumbsup2

Main Street looks very snazzy in the red, white & blue.

Thanks Memom for the parade pics this morning!

We are celebrating today .... it's packing DAY 1 at our house ....:dance3: (us dancing and packing) :rotfl:

I only have one more day off before we leave so I have to get as much done today as possible.

Last Sunday we dug the suitcases out of hybernation and have let them air out all week.
I sprayed them with lovely Lysol and now they smell fresh.
Lexi has adorned them with various Character keychains that we have collected over the years.

Oh I forgot .... we got the Disney mail envelope not once but TWICE this week!!!!!
My DMom said "they must know you really want to go this time!" :rotfl2:

I got two new tires put on the car on Friday.
The alignment is off and caused uneven wear, so better to be safe I replaced them.

Lexi and I made the Mousekeeping envelopes last Sunday. We kinda got carried away and made more than we needed... OOps!
Do you think the housekeepers at non-Disney hotels would like "fancy" envelopes too?

I booked our hotel for the drive back home and guess what ... they have a Red Robin!! Whoot! Whoo!
No mystery where I will be eating. :)

I've been working alot of extra hours lately, lots of double shifts too. I have missed the DIS so much. :grouphug:

I really wish I could DIS at work. When I get back I may subscribe to a mobile internet service so that I can take my laptop anywhere. (mainly for DISing on my lunch break of course ;))

I saw last night that they have extended the Electrical Parade! I'm so excitted! :woohoo:
Can't wait to tell Lexi when she wakes up. :woohoo:

Loving the early Sunday morning parade. I never seem to catch the 3pm parade. That may be a must do for Oct. With my DS in Sept it is all ride, ride, ride.

Good to know about the 64-pack of Crayons and keeping a toddler happy! :lmao:

Jill, how are you liking The Kingdom Keepers?

What a great parade! You always get such great pictures of them!

I read the whole book in about 2 and a half hours. I really enjoyed it. I have to go get the second one now. I have contemplated getting in it several times. My boss came in to work Friday and said she had bought me something. Her and her girls had gone to the bookstore the night before and when she saw it she thought of me. I will probably go get the 2nd one today before heading back to Alabama.

They are really cute books! We have enjoyed reading them here! We have fun in the parks saying, "Do you remember when...?" and referencing the books. You know there are actually three altogether. :thumbsup2

Ridley Pearson is going to be at the Decatur Book Festival here in Atlanta Labor Day weekend -- Connor and I are very excited about that! :goodvibes

Sounds like you're having a wonderful weekend.

Main Street looks so festive in red, white and blue.

Wonderful shots of the parade. I haven't caught this one yet, not since 2007. I do like all the bright colors and varied characters. You had a great spot for watching.

I am in the middle of the third one now and loving it! This one is 500+ pages so I am trying to read it when I can. I hear there is a 4th book coming out in April. :)

Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
The parade photos were the perfect way to start my day. I wish I could transport myself to Main Street right now :goodvibes

I'm so glad you're enjoying a fun birthday weekend! :goodvibes

Terrific pictures of the parade. I've never really been a parade person - or didn't think I was- but on my last trip I caught one "by accident" and really liked it. I will have to try to check more of them out.

Thanks for the good Kingdom Keepers reviews. Those are on my reading list.

Safe travels back home, Jill.

I totally agree with this sentiment!! Beth and I created our touring plan to insure we would be able to see each and every parade and nighttime entertainment. Shelby doesn't quite have the same fondness as me and she skipped some of them but didn't complain about my desire to make sure I fit all of them in. I can't wait to see your pics of ELP since I may never get the chance to see it in person!

The perfect pick me up after kitchen duty this morning! "I Love a Parade"
That and the latest installment of Distown.

What a great evening with all the girls content and you just enjoying them!

Heading up to school today with Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye to Saddle Up and Read Buckaroo!
The rest of my Toy Story family is sadly getting left at home...
for now.:rolleyes1
