I really enjoyed your videos and the parade. I like Brooklynn's face while she is talking to Belle :lovestruc. Did Brooklynn enjoy pin trading? I am trying to decide if Lexi would like it.

Glad to hear that Miss Brooklynn likes pin trading ! Would love to let the kids do some pin trading this trip but the problem is getting pins you don't mind giving up lol We will most likely stop at The Character Connection Store in St. Augustine on our way down and there pins are around 2 piece so maybe I will get some random ones there for them there to trade .

Love the video's Jill & Memom ! The one of the girls with the princesses is adorable , I  how Bella interacts with them soo silly !
Brookyln is soo silly in the Tea cup video , I just love how she sticks her tongue out as she's steering

Hi Memom... so sorry for the delay... Happy Belated Birthday. I am glad you had a great day! The wedding is a short 26 days away... after that I will go back to the boards full time :)

Oh, I just love that parade. We had the best spot in April and I took a million pictures. We didn't see it this time though but suffered the heat for the street party one. Ellie and I had fun cutting the rug with Jessie!:goodvibes

I loved the videos! Such pure happiness! I love to watch kids' faces too-I'm a big sap and usually tear up!

Are your bulletin boards all finished? I can't wait to see them! I am hoping to get in my classroom next week and get some things up. We leave for the beach on the 12th and I won't be back until the 21st. Work starts for me on the 26th. I need to head to the teacher's store this week...

Glad you had a good weekend! We ended up going to my sister's house and basically just hung out together. Sometimes it's just fun to be with family and not DO anything!:goodvibes

Great pics of the parade!! I just love seeing all the characters this hot Monday morning. Love the pictures of Brooklyn too. My Cooper is going today for Popsicles on the playground at his new school. I am about to cry that my baby is starting preschool soon.

Popsicles on the Playground sounds like much fun! This will be a milestone event and a great adventure for him. :)

Brooklynn will start Kindergarten next year. She will be very young, so she may repeat, if necessary, to be sure she is academically and socially ready for the rigors of first grade, but she's going to go ahead and go. When I think of the things I have had to teach in 2nd and 3rd grades, and I think of Brooklynn doing that in a very few years, I want her to stay little and have fun, too.

Ok, caught up again!! I love the new changes to the parade! So fun! Glad to hear Brooklynn did so well with the pin trading! I am thinking of getting the boys into it this year.

I also just found out that a new Disney store opened up 5 miles from my mom and dad's house! I am headed there at the end of the month. I'll be back with photos!!!

I bet they would enjoy it. Brooklynn liked getting to make choices. I'm sure she felt very special while she was making her decisions.

I am happy you get a new Disney Store. I will keep hoping that we will be allowed to have one of our three back again someday. We'll take pictures any time!

Owen and I enjoyed the parade pictures! He tells me he will get his picture taken with Minnie next trip! We'll see!

Loved the videos...the girls with the princesses were so sweet!

I'm off to enjoy my last day before I drag myself to school to start working. Trying to hype myself up for it, but it's not really working.

I went in today, but I worked on party stuff, not school stuff. :rolleyes1

I hope Owen will warm up to the characters on the next trip. How is his head today? Is he complaining much?

I love Brooklynn's pink lanyard. I hope she had a lot of fun pin trading, I know I do. I liked your parade pictures. Parades are fun, but they are not something I have to do. I did love the Stars and Motor Cars parade at DHS, but I am not too fond of the new one.

She really did!

We loved Stars and Cars, too. I posted some pictures of that not long ago on either this report or the last one. Jus reminiscing.

The parade pictures were wonderful! Can you believe I never stopped for that one??? You've made me think that for my next trip, I need to stop and watch it all the way through. It definitely looks magical!!!

My philosophy is to try everything once. You won't know if you really like it just on someone else's word. That goes for rides, shows, and restaurants.

Mission:Space would be the exception.
If I die in a claustrophobic attack, I will not be able to see the new Fantasyland, so I will not be trying it for myself.
Ever. ;)

Great parade pictures! We watched this parade in May, and I thought it was really cute.

I enjoy them. I like some better than others, but I like to see them all on a regular basis.

I really enjoyed your videos and the parade. I like Brooklynn's face while she is talking to Belle . Did Brooklynn enjoy pin trading? I am trying to decide if Lexi would like it.

I am guessing she would. Seems like a lot of people get them off ebay or at the outlet stores, so they don't cost so much.

I like seeing the videos, too. We did that several times during the trip. I would do video, John would do regular pictures, and Jill would keep the girls moving to the right place.

Bella got braver, but not all the way brave on this trip.

Brooklynn had such fun on the Teacups. :lovestruc She was at a great age this trip to really get into all the rides.

Hi Memom... so sorry for the delay... Happy Belated Birthday. I am glad you had a great day! The wedding is a short 26 days away... after that I will go back to the boards full time

We look forward to seeing pictures of this big event!

And we look forward to having you back here. :thumbsup2

I watched the spinning video three times last night and smiled the whole time. It was such fun, and I love watching her enjoying it so much.

I have finished my bulletin boards for now. I kept it simple.
We have to go back full-time Monday, so I am trying not to go down there too much yet. I went today, but I worked on Brooklynn's party stuff. :upsidedow

Our hanging out weekend was just fine. We baked a cake, saw some friends, and just hung out watching TV and playing with toys.

Enjoyed the parade pictures - looking forward to this! Only a month now 'til our trip  Serious planning going on right now! :rotfl:

Glad for the Crayola tip! But who's got ideas on how to keep the 1 year old and 3 year old entertained on our 8 hour flight? :scared1:

Are you going to post photos of your classroom MeMom? I remember spending lots of holiday time in my classroom getting things ready (no pay but actually still quite enjoyable!). Used to make me feel odd - itching for the kids to arrive but at the same time dreading the end of my holidays

I love the parades and the shows, and fill in the rest of the time with the rides. Thanks for the parade pictures.

I hope Owen will warm up to the characters on the next trip. How is his head today? Is he complaining much?

I hope he warms up to the characters too because Hannah loves them!

His head is better today! He ran around like it didn't even bother him, until we washed it. Then he kept saying "ouchie" and trying to get away. Hasn't seemed to slow him down any. Hopefully the stitches can come out on Friday.

I am so glad there are people who can go in late August and September. With everyone back in school in September, I think that would be an awesome time to go. I won't be able to do that until I retire, however, since it is too close to the beginning of the year

I love going in September!! Too bad you can't make it, Travelocity has rooms at Port Orleans and Caribean Beach for 50% off in late August and Sept. Awesome deal!! It's better than FL residents or Passholder discounts for the same time.

Jill, enjoy the Kingdom Keepers I bought it for my 10 year old and enjoyed them very much. MeMom thank you so much for the great updates can't wait to shop there in September!!

Just got back from Maine (Bangor and Bar Harbor) and got all caught up. Great parade pics and those videos are fantastic.

Finished the 3rd Kingdom Keepers today. I enjoyed them all. I do see where they left that door open for the next one. I was afraid they were going to leave a cliff hanger and that would been "not cool".
If you have the chance check your local library for them. They are a great read for a flight. ;)

I will see of I can find a picture of the MSEP that is not too blurry. I was having no real luck taking pictures but I get more chances. :cool1:
I will have to play with some of my camera's features.

A month away - very exciting! :dance3:

DVD's, books and coloring books, and hope they sleep some of the way. :thumbsup2

I will post some pictures of my room. I have pretty much done all I can for now. We will get either $100 or $200 in a month or so to use for things for our rooms, depending on the budget. I will then buy some more Science/SS things and some Reading Center activities.

That's good to hear. These are probably the first of several sets of stitches he will have in the years ahead. ;)

I saw that! What a good deal.
When I retire, if I ever get to retire, I will take a September trip. ::yes::

Jill, enjoy the Kingdom Keepers I bought it for my 10 year old and enjoyed them very much. MeMom thank you so much for the great updates can't wait to shop there in September!!

You will have to give me some shopping pictures in September. :)

Just got back from Maine (Bangor and Bar Harbor) and got all caught up. Great parade pics and those videos are fantastic.

I'm glad you enjoyed the videos. I bet you guys really get a kick out of our southern accents, huh? I'm glad you get to see the girls in action instead of just in pictures. :goodvibes

I haven't even seen my MSEP pictures. I loaded the first card to do the report up to now. Jill will be taking over now and loading them in sections, by days. She has some MSEP pictures from a night they went out and I stayed back with Bella, and then I have some from that last night when I went over to Magic Kingdom to see it and meet up with you. Between both sets, I hope we can give people a few decent ones. I probably did video, too.

Morning Friends! :goodvibes

Memom are you going back to work THIS Monday? () Say it ain't so.....

I can't wait to see what decorations and party ideas you both come up with this year!
Your parties are amazing! :thumbsup2

 We have only 10 SLEEPS until we go!

Yes, we go back this Monday. We get out toward the end of May and go back in August. We'll have teacher stuff M-T-W, and then the kids come Thursday for their first half-day.

This year, it's a little different, as they will not come back on Friday, but will begin full days the following Monday. I don't know what they'll make us do on that Friday, but I'm hoping that at least part of the day can be spent with our grade leavel team doing group planning. I will say, our principal is good about letting us have time in our rooms when he can. Sometimes, the state or Metro gives us mandates as to what we have to do - training, etc. - but if he has said everything he needs to say, he doesn't make us stick around. He appreciates the importance of 'trench work' instead of 'fluff stuff'.

We are all so excited for you as you are about to move into single digits! :dance3:

Here are my new pins from this last trip. They are now on my corkboard at school.

Brooklynn conquered these rides on this trip. She loved Big Thunder and Kali. She was so-so on Dinosaur.

Now for some classroom pictures.

The outside bulletin board has a Hollywood Studios influence.

August2010009.jpg

Inside to the left. The three important things are going to be typed and put in bubbles. I was just getting a general layout of how I wanted things.

Epcot in the back.

A touch of Magic Kingdom and Math.

Animal Kingdom is represented by Rafiki and friends.

I will take some of my room money with me to WDW in October and get some more Science things.

And here are a few pictures from this weekend.

The girls playing.

Brooklynn made this beautiful birthday cake.

August2010018.jpg

Our friend, Kay, came over with her granddaughter and we had a lasagna lunch.

We met up with another family friend at my school.
She brought her dog, Jack, and a friend's dog, Pixie. The dogs and the girls enjoyed playing while we talked.

August2010021.jpg

We stopped back by the school Sunday, as Jill was leaving, to put a box of stuff in my room and pick up some roll paper to use for Brooklynn's party.

Brooklynn and Jill dueling with some large plastic scissors.

Anyway, that was a synopsis of our weekend. We didn't go out to eat or shop or anything. Just hung out. Jill enjoyed some alone time to be able to read her Kingdom Keepers book. John had time at home to work on the yard and have uninterrupted alone time. I got to spend time with my two favorite little girls and my big girl. Drew was in and out during the weekend. Trent called on my birthday.

Jarvis came by while the girls and I had gone down to school and left a birthday present for me. It's one of those cake pans that you can make a large cupcake cake with. That was totally unexpected and so sweet and thoughtful, as he always is. :)

This is my last free week, so I am picking and choosing what I do. I am only going to school when I am in the mood and when it benefits me. I'll probably go again tomorrow for a couple of hours, and then that's it until I have to go on Monday.

Everything looks great in your classroom! I am just about to start a new job as Director of the preschool that all of my girls have attended. I mentioned to the outgoing director your idea for the "You've got a friend..." bulletin board and she told me I am not allowed to do anything with any Disney characters because Disney is considered violent! I can see the point, but at the same time-don't you think that most 3 and 4 year olds have not only seen Disney movies and characters but love them too??? Sometimes I just don't understand this world.

I love the Disney touch in your class room. When I was a parapro I loved coming up with ideas for the boards. Great job Memom! Your room looks like a lot of fun while learning!

Seriously???!!!!!!! :sad2: That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!!!
