Good morning, friends! We are having a nice weekend together. Yesterday. our friend, Kay, brought her granddaughter over and had lunch with us. The girls enjoyed playing with the kitchen, dolls, stroller, fake food, etc.
After Bella got an afternoon nap, we met another family friend at my school when we took a few things down there. She had her dog, Jack, and a friend's dog, Pixie, with her. The girls enjoyed following them around my classroom while we talked. Bella squealed with delight that the little puppy want to play. She wants to play with our cat so badly, but he will have nothing to do with children, so she was glad for this little puppy who came right up to her and licked on her.
In the evening, we cooked hamburgers and just hung around the house. It stormed here. I played with the girls and watched Pete's Dragon with Brooklynn. Jill read a Kingdom Keepers book that her boss had given her. Just for you information, a 64 pack of Crayola crayons can keep a toddler happy for almost an hour. Bella poured the whole box out, then put some of them back in, then poured them out, then just picked them up and dropped them countless times for almost an entire hour. She was in her own Crayola world - quiet as a mouse and quite content.
Again, I thank you all for your nice birthday wishes. Brooklynn did make a cake yesterday, and she made sure it had plenty of sprinkles. I am hoping next year it will work out for us to take a late vacation and be in Disney World again at this time, but we'll have to consult the school calendar whenever it comes out for next year.
