Did you find the irony of the fact that the forecast for July 1 was identical to May 1 this year!!

All caught up but still in Orlando.... the airport that is.

I heard our plane was on the ground so not too much longer. We will be in the air earlier than expected.

Disney every month?? Well I am trying :rotfl:

Sounds like your coming into Orlando is me trying to get out!!:rotfl2:

I will home before dark I think so all is good.

I had fun meeting everyone even though I only saw you for a short while.

I saw work being done on the first floor of the 60's building. I have pictures. Nothing too crazy just mattresses and bare walls.

Oh so sorry your vacation had a late start.
I  the shopping photos.
Your girls are just too cute!

We felt lucky for the first week of the trip. Even though it was hot, there was a good cloud cover throughout the day. The last few days, when the clouds lifted, it was pretty rough. May should have been ten degrees cooler, huh? :)

I suppose you are in the air now. Maybe you are flying over GA DIS friends or TN DIS friends right now.

I enjoyed talking with you at the train station. I would have ridden some rides with you, too, since I had not been on Splash or Big Thunder this trip, but I had no walking left in me. :upsidedow

Good to hear they are down into the 60's with the updating now. By our March trip, the entire resort should be done. I'd like to get over on 50's & 60's side this time for our friend. She's my age and would appreciate the 50's theme. She's only stayed at Pop once, and that was over in the 90's Computer Building.

There will be plenty of shopping pictures yet to come. Hundreds, I would venture to say.

Thanks for the compliments on the girls. We think they are pretty special. :lovestruc

Back to the Atlanta/Trent's birthday trip. McDonough, GA is a little over four hours from Huntsville and a little over 6 for Trent. What is that area like? Any good malls? Even if we get on the south side of Atlanta to make the travel better for Trent, especially going back on Sunday, we are up for any of you GA Disers meeting up with us after the zoo Saturday night, if you are willing to travel. This would be the weekend of the 11th. I think Jarvis is going to be able to come, so I'd love for you to meet Trent and Jarvis. We might even talk Drew into coming with us. Miracles do happen. :)

Woooo I totally cannot wait for shopping at Pop! :woohoo:

How close was your building there to Classic Hall? I'm still all confused over where I should request...

Hey, when is there going to be a big DIS meet up in NY?!? :confused3

I got my wisdom teeth removed this morning but the Vicodin seems to have kicked in a bit so I could come check in and see if you started the TR. And you have! :)

I'm sorry for the plane delay and quiet driver MeMom. That's a bit of a bummer. I do love the new refurbed Pop rooms, especially the comforters. Very pretty.

Love the shopping pictures too! They have so many cute t-shirts out, don't they? Makes it hard to pick when you limit yourself to just one like we do.

Can't wait to read more, when you have the time. Welcome home again Jill and MeMom!

New York???? That's waaaay up there, ain't it?

I figure most of you guys come through our way as you travel to Disney World, if you drive anyway, so we can just have DIS meets here on a regular basis. Especially when we get our hippo back. :thumbsup2

If you fly and pass us overhead, then it's more likely that we will have to meet in Disney World one of these days.

How many Disers live close to you? What about Brook? She's up there somewhere now? I'm sure there are many, but it seems like we have a lot of southerners on this report. I still say we need to find the midpoint of the 48 contiguous states and have a meet there. :yay:

Take care of yourself. Get some rest and let those big girls wait on you a little. I had my wisdom teeth out when Jill and Trent were little, and I remember being sort of in and out of things for a couple of days. Any kind of medication really does me in.

They do have many cool shirts. Jill would look good in a lot of them, I think, because they're more fitted and youngish.

Next two days - yucky workshops, but it will be fun to talk with my fellow teachers again for a couple of days and see what they've been up to.

 Yes, it is pretty far up here! I doubt we'll ever drive to Disney again (just takes too much precious vacation time!) but as you know Chris and I do want to move down there when we have saved up enough money. So, computer meets might have to do for a while :sad2: Not many DISers live close...lots live in NY but not many out on Long Island...NYC is only about an hour from me but most of the DISers I'm aware of that live in NY live upstate which could be like a 6-8 hr drive :headache: One of these days!! :thumbsup2

Do you guys have any plans for a December trip next year, that you know of? I have convinced Chris we can go back when I graduate from grad school that December and I think we may even go after Christmas, through New Years. Let me know!

Our 'usual' schedule may change a bit next year, because John's parents are wanting to go to Disney World with them. Since they might be doing that in June, our family summer trip may have to be altered. It may be that I end up going alone or taking Brooklynn for a short trip in July, so I'll be able to see Trent (assuming he is still there), and then maybe we could do do a longer Christmas trip. It might be that I fly down at the end of their excursion with John's parents, saving a plane ticket for Brooklynn - just keep her with me for a few more days and then we'd fly back later. Who knows? We'll have to work out the logistics when we see what really is happening with John's family.

Not going this Christmas, I think we will be ready for another holiday trip next year. We did quite enjoy our Thanksgiving trip, though, and we might consider doing that again.

School workshops?? Don't they know it is summer? :upsidedow

Love all the shopping pictures. The store in Pop is something else. That onesie with the tie and pocket protector is just adorable!!

Looking forward to shopping some more!!

I thought of you and Heather and Kim when I saw the pink ones. I don't know why I didn't take a picture of it at the same time I did the blue one.

Aww, I will have to pick one up in February!! :goodvibes

Well, Jackie was telling us about Kennesaw and how nice and safe it was, along with it having a Disney Store mall, so that is sounding good. That would be north, though. If you know of a place south of Atlanta that has all that, I am up for looking at that to help make the drive easier on Trent. As it is, he'll be doing twice the driving we will, so I was just thinking if we could go a little extra way south of Atlanta, that might help him a little.

Jackie is right, Kennesaw is very safe and there are lots of things and restaurants around that area. :goodvibes

How nice. I need to do so much to this house! I watch HGTV and realize what a mess this place is even more, but I can't fathom not going to Disney World for 2-3 years in order to pay for all the work it needs. Maybe when it falls on my head, it'll knock some sense into me. :upsidedow

Neither could we; that's why were sneaking in this short trip at Christmas.

Loved all the shopping pictures! I really like all the pins they have. I think that might be something Jacob would love to collect. I hope your workshops for school go by fast.:)

There were definitely magical times, so we weren't upset by the beginning - just a little tired and maybe a little disappointed in the ME driver.

We had a VERY unmagical ME driver on our way home in January. He felt it necessary to lecture the bus and young children specifically about how grateful they should be and how expensive he was sure the was. He suggested the boys mow lawns, do manly things etc. while the girls should bake cookies, babysit and do other girly things to raise money to take their parents to Disney. Because heaven forbid a boy want to bake or girl mow the lawn.... I can't remember the specifics beyond that, but I remember wanting him to be quiet before we left the parking lot and the teenage girls egging him on the entire ride to the airport. He was so chauvinistic and degrading... is was a very disappointing way way to end the ride. We told my 9 year old nephew and 4 year old niece to ignore him.... :sad2:

Anyway, sorry. mini rant over. :upsidedow

LOVE the 2010 items. I should've gotten some; that Mickey status is SUPER cute.

you guys know i'm up for an atlanta meet no matter where it is as long as i'm physically able. being that you're talking about september and i'm due on september 20th, that will all depend! just keep me updated and we will see how it all plays out. :goodvibes

Thank you for awesome shopping pictures! It made my night. I was watching Deadliest Catch and Captain Phil died. So sad! So, it made me happy to see some happiness on my computer!

As always, wonderful shopping pictures!

You mentioned a NEW monorail shirt? Did they change the look of it? I haven't seen it/heard about that...I've always wanted one of those shirts!

I'm looking forward to watching the progress of the Animation Inn & Suites through your reports. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I don't think I'll ever be right. We even broke down and talked about an EV for the future. I saw a young man on a pretty small one. I would like that, since it didn't seem so big and invasive on other people's space. I'll be looking further into that for next summer's trip.

Ah, bummer... However, and ECV also often means front of the line access....which is VERY handy with little ones and large crowds. :goodvibes

Aw, it's not THAT far! :rotfl: Yep, I'm up here, NYC - Queens! Chances are eventually we will head down in that direction on a short vacation. Not this year, but eventually. That's the beauty of this area, we can get to many places fairly cheaply for little vacations.

I used to be in MN, but now am in Queens (Astoria). I know a couple other LI DISers too. We just might have to do a meet sometime. I'm all for heading your way to the BEACH on a random Saturday...just which random Saturday is the question.

Yes, it will be fun to see Animation Suites :confused3 grow right before our eyes. I'm really interested in buying a "Por favor..." shirt too. It's my favorite part of the monorail. :lmao:
